It was a simple day like any other, screams and laughter all around, blood painted on the walls and floor, sometimes celling, of the dungeon, you know just your regular day at the dungeon, except one tiny little thing. There was no dungeon. Well, technically it still existed, but there were no more spawns, no one would become motes of light and get absorbed in the dungeon. Good news though, I'm no longer bound to it, and I can, probably, escape it. Unfortunately I'm still a goblin. Therefore humans would kill me on sight, not that I wouldn't do it if I was a human and saw some goblin running at me flailing it's pathetic limbs. Therefore I had an ingenious plan. Sneak past them.
But with that plan came quite a lot of problems. First, I don't have access to chameleon spell, invisibility or some other magic, hell, I can't even become shadow, well not for long that is. Another trouble is that I have no cardboard box, but I must say this idea is even dumber now that I thought of using it. Easiest way would be run through and hope for the best, but chances of my survival are almost nonexistent in that case... now that I think about it, there were some thugs here who could escort me out of this place, I just need to get captured, or bribe them... I think I'll just sneak away blending in the shadows. My MP should be enough for 5-6 minutes of using it.
Well, I guess it's easier said than done, as first I have to get on the first floor, and only then I can escape this place. Good thing that this dungeon isn't a maze. Seriously, if it was a maze there would be something better than goblins on the 4th floor. I honestly expected some sort of giant spider at the very least. Not that I want one to be here mind you, or wanted, considering the circumstances. Anyway the way out is kinda easy, just go straight. Yeah, there are quite a lot of pathways around this dungeon, leading to all sorts of monster infested places, but on all floors it's straight line from one set of stairs, if you dare to call that stairs, to another one.
On my way to the entrance I met a few adventurers and monsters, but I just ran as fast as I could. Considering that only 30 minutes passed and I'm already at the first floor I dare to say that it was quite-
“Easy?” well, one thing I didn't quite expect is what's happening now. First floor is covered in bodies of adventurers and monsters alike, with some knights, at least I think those are knights, clad in iron, or steel, let's say just some metal armor, with green and brown colors. Those morons just kill people here for no good reason, like now one of those knights cleaved the guy in half. Well, not my problem, I'm just here for the exit. Enveloping myself in shadows I dashed to the exit, using any dark places to mask my presence, which were their shadows, obviously.

It was quite easy reaching the exit, and unlike last time I tried getting near it, there was no discomfort, spasms etc. Just smell of burned meat... few seconds passed before my eyes adapted to the bright day outside, and what a surprise. It was night, and I was almost surrounded by flames. Guess it was some sort of camp with the dungeon nearby. Maybe poor bastards thought of making a dungeon town, with it's own infrastructure. Tough luck guys, better luck next time. Just as I was going to go, or better run, away, I noticed a few of the similar colored knights, or warriors, that were killing a few stranded survivors, and... erm... raping some other survivors, which were obviously female. Regular day of medieval settlement, if not being robbed by tax collectors, they're being robbed by bandits, or being killed in some war.
“Eeek!” Just as I was to disappear in the forest, I heard some muffled screaming somewhere in the bushes. “D-don't c-come c-closer!” and it was some brat. And a few of those soldiers who were raiding the camp, town, whatever. I just watched as one of those soldiers came closer to that kid and grabbed him by it's head.
“Now, now. Trying to escape, ain't cha?” and just like that he hit him against tree. KO guaranteed, that's for sure.
Why won't I help the guy in need? Kinda stupid question if you ask me, but I will explain why. First, I'm a goblin, therefore I'm ought to be skewered by any human who stumbles upon me, no matter what I'll do. Second, I'm just a skinny goblin, while there are four well armed soldiers. Of course I'm confident that I could kill one of them, but other three? Nah, I'll pass. Besides, it's not like I'm in immediate danger, I just has to get out of this region, and no one will notice me. Who cares about some critter?
And just like nothing has happened at all, I, tiny dark skinned goblin, disappeared into the forest, while humans slaughtered each other. Though I must admit that I may had some ideas about barging into the settlement, slaughtering knights and soldiers alike, while saving princesses, or at least innkeeper's daughter, but unlike some wannabe heroes, I was not content with being fertilizer.
