……. Back inside the scorching Ghoul Graveyard, an astute Tomb Rider recognized something familiar that briefly came into view on their spying monitors. “What was that just now? I thought I saw one our facility’s probe appear near that gate?” Trisha’s utterance caught the attention of everyone logged into the chat channel.
“What? Are you certain? You better not be joking around right now woman.” Meliodas was about to flip.
“I think I saw it. Could you replay that footage by 37 seconds?”
“Are you sure?” He rewound the footage. “There, it is playing back from 40 seconds.”
“Fast forward a bit… Stop there!” Trisha zoomed closer on her area of interest. “See there? That is a GX43-model probe which belongs to our Nox research facility! I knew I saw it correctly. It got destroyed pretty quickly though.”
“The heat may have been too much for it to handle.”
“Wait a moment.” Water Lilly came to a sudden realization. “If that probe is indeed man-made then that means we might be able to return to the human plain if we go through there!”
“You have a point. If that portal leads to the Nox exit point then it may be able to take us home.” Hearing this promising new, the Tomb Riders began to get there hopes up.
“That means there is a chance for us to survive.”
“Wait a sec. Don’t you all see what’s happening here?” Angelina directed everyone’s attention to a key matter. “Why would that formidable Ghoul be opening a gate to our world? Is it planning to escape there?”
“Huh? Now that you mention it. That possibility is highly likely.” Armoured Hero hadn’t thought about this until Angelina spoke about it. “The situation is direr than we thought. We must prevent that monster from escaping through the gate as soon as possible! A Ghoul that powerful is capable of obliterating an entire country. Furthermore, the human race is incapable of slaying a Ghoul of that type at the moment.”
“Then shouldn’t we hurry and warn those nerds who are poking around in the Nox facility?”
“They may not be able to receive any sort of digital message due to the interference of space separation. The only thing we can do is warn them in person. As soon as that portal becomes large enough for us to fit through we will rush our way there.”
“Are you serious, Armoured Hero? How are we supposed to get past that thick barrier of heat without turning to ash?”
“We will have to use every functional Soul Insignia in our possession to figure out a way forward, otherwise…” Armoured Hero was just about to add something to his sentence but he stopped as soon as he thought about the negative impact it might have had on the surrounding Tomb Riders.
“Forget about it. I think that gate has gotten large enough to accommodate a regular size human. If we set out now, by the time we reach there it should have gotten wider. There is no time to dally. Let’s go forward! Make sure to take extra precaution for your lives!”
As soon as Armoured Hero set off, the captains joined him.
“This is crazy! I can’t believe we’re going towards that monster instead of running away from it!” Someone in distress blurted out.
The tale has been taken without authorization; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident.
“What else can we do, dude? It’s either we make a break for the gate or we stay trapped here waiting for our deaths.”
“I already know that. But this is just so frightening!”
“Suck up your fear, dude! We’re almost near the danger zone!”
The small group of Tomb Riders started sprinting past the thunderous area where a portion of the Cloud Ghoul kept the Golden Entity in check. They all made sure to watch out for its dubious chain-falls.
After coming out of the danger zone unscathed, Angelina glanced backwards at the Golden Entity with a glimmer of thoughtfulness in her eyes. “That Ghoul might be able to help us out.” Without notifying the others, Angelina spun her motor in the opposite direction. She began advancing towards the Golden Ghoul.
“What the hell is that bulky woman thinking?” Unruly Ban who was just about to catch up with his eldest brother glanced backwards. He noticed Angelina’s actions then spun around his Press Roller also. “Is she trying to outshine me again? Hey, Mysterious Slut! What are you up to?”
Hearing a dirty voice penetrating her ears made Angelina observed her rear-view for a bit. “It’s that shitty mouth idiot. Why did you turn back? The others are still going forward!”
“Heh, isn’t it obvious! I want in on whatever you’re planning.” Unruly Ban secretly thought to himself: ‘This bitch. I won’t let her outshine me again.’
“Fine! If you’re so insistent on following my ass. Help me unshackle that thing.” Angelina pointed ahead.
“What? You mean that Golden Ghoul? Won’t it eat us alive if we set it free?” Unruly Ban swallowed a mouthful of fright when he heard this. Though he tried to hide it, Angelina caught on and said:
“If you’re too scared then piss off!”
“Bitch! Who do you think you’re talking to? I am an elite Tomb Rider who will stand on top of the world! Don’t f*cking underestimate me!!!” To show off his immeasurable manliness, Unruly Ban fearlessly rode past Angelina, quickly making his way towards the Golden Ghoul’s rescue.
Amidst the brewing chaos, Angelina smirked after seeing this. “That stupid man is so easy to manipulate. Then again with his help things will escalate faster.”
Getting closer towards the trapped Golden Ghoul, Angelina realized just how huge it was. It measured over 20 feet in height!
“Wow, it looks a lot bigger up close. Time to get down to business.” Nearing her target, Angelina unsheathed her revamp Ghoul Trigger. She wasted no time aiming at the surrounding chains.
“Get blast to bits you piece of shits!” Unruly Ban joined Angelina in assaulting the chains that bound the mysterious Golden Ghoul. With their combined efforts, the chains quickly loosened.
Rumble!
A sudden burst of lightning shot downwards at the meddlesome Tomb Riders. By the time the Cloud Ghoul realize what was happening, the Golden Ghoul had already been freed from its shackles.
With only a few flaps of its wings, the Golden Ghoul interrupted the lightning strikes. The gust of wind it created was strong enough to incidentally send Angelina and Unruly Ban flying in separate directions.
“What the heck? I knew I shouldn’t have helped you freed that bastard!” Unruly Ban’s motor suffered heavy damages after it crashed into multiple frozen pillars. Due to the versatility of Angelina’s motor, she managed to avoid most of the obstacles in her path.
“This wind is quite powerful. It’s taking all that I have to keep Selain from crashing over.”
“Huh, I can move properly again?” This was due to the Golden Ghoul shooting upwards to combat the Cloud Ghoul’s replica.
“Now, where the heck did that bastard flew to.” Angelina searched around for the whereabouts of the unruly presence. Shortly, she discovered him partially buried underneath some frozen rubble. “Hey retard! How long do you plan on staying buried down there for?”
“You bitch! This was all your fault for getting me involved in assisting you to free that golden bastard!” Unruly Ban continued to hurl expletives at Angelina until he wiggled his way to safety. “Look how shitty my Press Roller has become because of you! These damages are irremediable!”
Angelina acted impressed. “Wow, who knew that your filthy mouth could utter such fancy words other than the common bitch and slut. Are you finished cursing? If so get your stinking ass in gear and let’s move. We must catch up with the others before we get left behind.”
“You little slut! Don’t ever order me around!” Unruly Ban freed himself from the rubble then shot off behind the Tomb Riders' tiny silhouettes who were way ahead of them. “Shit! We’re so far behind! I would have caught up already if that slut hadn’t ruined my rad motor! How am I supposed to shine looking this horrible! F*ck! F*ck! F*ck!”
