Chapter 100 - Coming Face To Face With Unfathomable Strength!

“We’re still not catching up to them. At this rate, they will leave our sweaty asses behind!” Unruly Ban was still peeved that he got stuck in the little league’s corner. No matter how fiercely he operated his Press Roller he still couldn’t catch up with the other Tomb Riders ahead.

“I can’t believe I succumb to that little bitch’s bulky vagina. She said that the bastard Ghoul will assist our escape but so far it has done shit! Hey, Mysterious Slut! Take responsibility for misleading me!”

“Geez, this guy is so damn annoying. I can’t believe I asked someone like him for assistance. It feels wasted in this life and death situation.” Angelina could have caught up with the others ahead a long time ago if she wanted to. However, due to her slight concern for the unruly tyrant, she decreased her motor’s speed to aid him.

“Fine, since I’m partially the cause for your motor being in that broken state, I’ll help you out.” Angelina hovered her motor towards Unruly Ban. As she did this, she cycled through her helmet’s inventory for a suitable Soul Insignias.

“So few I have left. This one will have to do.” Angelina activated a Sapphire Soul Insignia. “Chain of the Flaming Ghoul Riders! Come out!”

“The hell?” Unruly Ban was startled when he witnessed Angelina wrapping his motor with the chains. “What the f*ck are you doing to my Press Roller, bitch?” he hollered.

“Shut up and play along!” Angelina warned. “Since your motor is too damn slow, I will have to drag your ass along with me!”

“What? Don’t make me laugh.” Unruly Ban mocked. “Can that silly motor of yours even handle the weight of my baby?”

“Well, I guess we’re about to find out, aren’t we? Selain show this sorry sucker what you can do!” As if of 100 rockets had combined and set off in unison, Unruly Ban felt the wave of his skin flapping uncontrollably as Angelina’s motor took off at burst speed. Even light couldn’t travel as fast as her in that instant.

“Holy hell! This bitch is insane!” Unruly Ban screamed like a scared little girl. His tongue almost slipped into his throat.

Armoured Hero who was with the others ahead were getting closer towards the expanding gateway. Their trek wasn’t one of easy endeavour. They had to be mindful of the uprising magma bombs that were still polluting the atmosphere.

“Armoured Hero! Up ahead!” A barrier of scorching steam was radiating from the Fire Lord Ghoul’s locality. This was due to the lingering oppression of the Sapphire Heart’s frosty constitution.

“Trisha! Take care of that barrier!”

“Understood!” The reason Armoured Hero commanded Trisha was simply that she was the only one amongst the group in possession of a gravity type Soul Insignia.

“Leave it to me!” Trisha directed her motor ahead of the gang. Approaching the massive layer of steam, she pushed forth her Soul Insignia, saying loudly: “Gravity Split!”

An invisible amount of magnetic energy assaulted the barrier. Within seconds, it blasted a huge hole for the Tomb Riders to slip through.

“There is a point of entry! Go! Go! Go!” The Tomb Riders couldn’t afford to slow the velocity of their motors. Only an insane amount of speed could last their lives a bit longer.

“Watch out for its deadly heatwaves.” Ghost Rider dashed in front of the speeding gang. Many thought his demeanour was sour, but in that instant, their views slightly changed about him.

“Ghoul Trigger unleash your tyranny! Skullmet Inflammation!” Ghost Rider protected the people behind him from getting burnt to death by utilising his ace technique. The burning particles attached to his head manifested a blazing intensity of azure flames which encompassed them.

“Ghost Rider’s flame is protecting us.” Said a bewildered Tomb Rider. “I thought he was a complete douche who cared only about himself…”

“All of us will have to work together if we want to make it back alive!”

“Yes! Yes! We understand. Then onwards towards the gate!”

“Not so fast!” Armoured Hero’s warning cause the gang to slow. “That area near the gate is where the heat is most focused. I fear even Ghost Rider’s protection can’t save us from getting scorched to death. Before thinking about going through something must be down to direct that monster’s attention away from the gate.”

“Are you saying that we will have to fight against that thing, Armoured Hero?”

“There is no other choice! Feel free to stay here and die if you want to. Those who want a shot at survival come with me!” Armoured Hero switched directions. His target was now the Fire Lord Ghoul. The other captains also shot off behind him. “We have to distract it somehow.”

“I got it!” Water Lilly thought up a brilliant strategy that could benefit them along with the rest of humanity. “We should aim for its halos that are currently forcing the gate open. I believe if they are destroyed then it will have no other way to pursue us to the other side for some time. That will also gain its attention.”

“I think that would work.” Cool Zephyr agreed with the plan.

“Alright, we’ll do exactly that, but it won’t be easy maintaining our lives after that monster notices us.” Meliodas was cautious which was unlike his usual domineering demeanour. “Let’s go f*ck up that big flaming bastard!”

After combining their strength, the Tomb Riders began tossing out multiple frightful attacks towards the Fire Lord Ghoul’s halos.

“???” The Fire Lord Ghoul’s focus was now directed at the pesky humans who were assaulting its magnificent compilation of halos. Its anger began souring through the bowels of hell. Not only did it started spitting out fireballs at the annoying Tomb Riders, but it also commanded its countless army of Magma Ghouls to dispose of the human trashes.

Very quickly, the Tomb Riders descended further into blistering chaos. They had to be wary of the Fire Lord Ghoul as well as the innumerable Magma Ghouls who were hurling at them from all angles.

“F*ck! We’re toast if this keeps up!”

“No doubt about it. My motor is already starting to melt!”

“F*ck this shit! I’m heading towards the gate right now!” A desperate Tomb Rider abandoned the group to seek shelter by moving towards the portal.

“Hey you traitor, get back here! If he’s not going to help then I’m going too!” Another Tomb Rider also sprinted towards the gate. However, this foolish duo completely forgot about the Cloud Ghoul who was keeping the Sapphire Heart in its grasp. They were abruptly impaled by barrages of thunderous chains, not even their motors survived.

“Those idiots! I told them to stay together!” Armoured Hero was pissed when he witnessed his comrades getting reduced to ashes. The other Tomb Riders thought twice about running off on their own. Though some of them wanted to mourn for their fallen comrades, the Fire Lord Ghoul didn’t give them that opportunity.

The Fire Lord Ghoul brought forth it’s most powerful halos; aiming them above the expansive gorge where the pesky Tomb Riders were buzzing about. 4-black halos started shooting down continuous amounts of highly concentrated heat. Each of their area of influence canvased over 100 square metres!

Tried as they did to avoid getting caught within the deadly range of infernal death, the Fire Lord Ghoul forced them into a corner where they had nowhere else to escape. The raining storm of unquenchable heat started pouring down on the Tomb Riders.

“Forget about conserving your Soul Insignias! Used whatever you can to survive!” Everyone could perceive the great level of despair vibrating out of Armoured Hero’s mouth. “They all knew that death was only a matter of seconds away!”

“F*ck it! If I’m going to die anyway then I’m going all out! Oraaaah!”

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!

All who were trapped within the scorching clutches of death began activating every Soul Insignias in their possession, whether useful or useless. Some of them even activated flame type Soul Insignias which only added to the overbearing heat. How foolish. None of them was in their right minds to care.

The most effective Soul Insignias that we're extending the Tomb Riders lives a few seconds longer were the gravity, water, and shield type. However, these Soul Insignias had limited usages. Meaning, it was only a matter of time before fiery death consumed them all.

Confirming that the pesky humans’ death was underway, the Fire Lord Ghoul returned to forcing the Sapphire Heart’s gateway open. For a time, it breached 30% of the Sapphire Heart’s gate. A little longer and it would have been completely opened. What derailed its plan was the sudden appearance of the Golden Ghoul.

The Fire Lord Ghoul was promptly smashed thousands of metres away from the Sapphire Heart. Its halos couldn’t exist too far away from where it was, thus the Tomb Riders found themselves abruptly freed from blazing oppression when the halos followed their master.

“The rain of fire disappeared! Are we still alive?”

“Look there!”

“What the f*ck???”

The Tomb Riders were startled after identifying the Fire Lord Ghoul crouching several hundred metres away. “Did the Golden Ghoul did that? Who knew it had such unfathomable strength.”

“How did it get free from that cloud’s shackles?” Water Lilly wondered.

“Never mind that…” Armoured Hero observed the gate. He noticed that it was shrinking rapidly. “Is this because the monster is no longer in control of it? Everyone we need to get through that gateway before it completely closes.”

“What about the Cloud Ghoul! Won’t it be a problem?”

“Give me all of your remaining Soul Insignias! I believe I can get us through unharmed.” Armoured Hero demanded.

“But…”

“No time for buts. Hurry! The gate is closing!”

“Alright, here!” After everyone handed over their Soul Insignias to Armoured Hero, they shot off at burst speed towards the Sapphire Heart.

“What are you planning to do with them?”

“You’ll find out soon.”
