Chapter 74 - Arriving At Nox Ghoul Graveyard Site

Inside of the Ghoul Gear Shop which was not too far from where Meliodas and Unruly Ban had just walked by, Angelina was searching around for a suitable gear to aid her future ventures.

Cockroach and the others asked her why she was searching for new gears when they weren’t heading to the Ghoul Graveyard site to participate in any Ghoul event. Of course, Angelina kept quiet about her participating in the upcoming Ghoul Graveyard expedition because she didn’t want them to worry.

“This item might be useful.” At a transparent stock aisle, Angelina was observing a gear that she thought might aid her journey. On the shelf was a purple medium-size symmetrical Weapons Cube. It wasn’t visible to the naked eye but within were various Soul Insignias.

Angelina thought that she might be able to use this Weapons Cube to fully upgrade her half-baked Ghoul Trigger to a complete Ghoul Trigger. The multiple Soul Insignia’s contained within the Weapons Cube was comprised of powerful Ghoul Souls. Ghouls Souls which she could use to strengthen her dark blade. This item cost way more than her current dark blade, yet she was still willing to sacrifice her finance to acquire it.

“This is a valuable item. The cost is astronomical but right now I can’t afford to be stingy. I must upgrade my blade into a powerful Ghoul Trigger no matter the cost.” Angelina picked up the Weapons Cube and brought it over to the counter lady who she paid the astronomical fees to acquire her purchase.

“Now that I have this, I must find an expert who can integrate it into my blade.” Angelina asked the counter lady if she knew of any good Ghoul Engineers on board Magnum Opus Fx3. The counter lady gave her directions to the garage next to her shop. “Thank you.” Before leaving, Angelina told her friends that she would be taking care of some important matters so they should head back without her.

To Angelina’s surprised, the engineer who was working in the Ghoul Garage next to the Ghoul Gear Shop was none other than her plump acquaintance, Mawol. At first, she was disbelieving but after coming across the perverted junk robot, Angelina accepted that she wasn’t hallucinating and went over to greet her friend who was busy tinkering with some intricate components.

“Mawol is that really you buddy? How come you’re here on this vessel?”

Mawol took the protective gear from his head, got up from the counter then gave his attention to Angelina. Some soot was on his ample cheeks; he reached into his pocket for a handkerchief to clean his face. “A.J I wasn’t expecting to meet you here so early.”

“What do you mean?” Angelina was curious about Mawol’s presence on-board the Magnum Opus Fx3. He told her that he was invited by a friend of his who just so happened to be an organiser of the Ghoul Graveyard tour.

“Oh, so that’s it. I had no idea you have such high connections for a person living in such a rundown residential area in Belgiumine city.”

If you discover this tale on Amazon, be aware that it has been unlawfully taken from Royal Road. Please report it.

“My creator has lots of influential humans at his beck and call, Ms Julie.” The guard robot stepped in front Angelina all of a sudden then informed her of its creator’s influential connections like a true braggart.

“This rust bucket also came with you, Mawol?” Angelina looked the perverted robot over from top to bottom.

Low-dog answered her enquiry before Mawol could get a chance to. “Well, of course, I came, Ms Julie. I am the creator’s most trusted assistant.”

“Trusted assistant my foot.” Angelina pushed the guard robot out of the way and went closer to Mawol. “Since you are here I might as well make good use of you.”

“What is it you need for me to repair again, A.J.” Mawol waited for Angelina’s request. She told him about how she wanted to modify her dark blade into a complete Ghoul Trigger using the Weapons Cube that she had just bought.

“I’ll see what I can do.” Mawol accepted Angelina’s request. Because she was his number one customer. He prioritized her request ahead of his other customer’s orders and got right to it.

“I owe you big time.” Angelina was very grateful for Mawol’s aid with her weapon upgrade. Her weapon wouldn’t be ready anytime soon. Thus she left him to work and went back into the Ghoul Gear Shop close by to see if there were any more items worth buying.

…….

Few days after Magnum Opus Fx3 began its journey throughout the cloudy airspace, its destination was finally in sight. A general notification was broadcasted inside the vessel, informing every passenger that they were arriving at the Ghoul Graveyard site.

Astonishment washed over the faces belonging to the exciting Tomb Riders when they found out that the Ghoul Graveyard was actually not on the ground level of the desolate plain of Nox, rather it was 35,000 feet above ground.

Looking at the image displaying the outside environment, Angelina saw a large swath of land floating above the clouds. Situated on this land was a massive high-tech research facility built to accommodate the ethereal existence of a Ghoul Graveyard. Multiple towering bodies of mythic tombs and gateways were protruded in such an unorganised manner, the man-made facility couldn’t completely mask its eerie structures.

“So that’s what a Ghoul Graveyard site looks like up close?” A lot of enthusiastic individuals were gathering at the centre of the huge vessel where a large monitor was depicting the impacting sceneries from outside. Many of them got Goosebumps as they continued to stare at the approaching Ghoul Graveyard site.

“I can’t wait to disembark! This tour is going to be so much fun.” Tomb Riders were passing elated conversations left and right.

As Magnum Opus Fx3 drew nearer to the site, the tour organisers on board, instructed all of their respective groups to get ready for dismemberment in an orderly fashion. Many Tomb Riders and other representatives were gathering at the docking ports located at the side of the large vessel.

When the landing platforms came into view, Magnum Opus Fx3 didn’t touch down. Due to its massive size, it had to stay idle beside the landing platform to prepare for disembarking. Multiple retractable escalators came out of the side of the aircraft and settled on the landing platforms.

“Okay everyone, we’ve arrived at Nox Ghoul Graveyard site.” The multiple organisers began instructing their respective groups. “Please disembark in a steady fashion and make sure to stick to your designated groups. If you wish to join your friends from other groups then please notify us beforehand. The first-day tour of the Ghoul Graveyard will progress until six o’clock. When that time has come we will meet back here at the docking station. Alright everyone, follow along.”

The Belgiumine group of Tomb Riders were in the third party to disembark. Angelina followed along with the crowd. Her excitement was great but it was difficult to identify due to her lingering nervousness.
