Chapter 56 - Engaging The Bloody Hound!

Chapter 56 - Engaging The Bloody Hound!

“Hey! Over here you big smelly mutt!” A Tomb Rider sporting a guillotine motor activated a gadget on her back. It caused some oscillating blades to come out which she then used to propel herself in the air. She managed to get on top of the dog’s back. As she landed she rushed to one of the dog’s ears that had two Grace of Pinnacles poking outside.

“Those idiots down there can waste their time trying to kill this mutt while I acquire these artefacts for my team.” The girl stretched her hands out to interact with the Grace of Pinnacles but when she got close enough, the ear closed itself then emitted a follicle effect which sent thousands of pointy furs towards the sneaky Tomb Rider.

“Ahh! No!” The female Tomb Rider was eliminated on the spot. The myriad of pointy furs burrowed through her intestines, spilling her gut loose. Afterwards, she along with her motor vanished from Scorching Dunes.

“Super Elena!” A Tomb Rider noticed that one of his crew members had just vanished from their map. “Was she eliminated while trying to steal the artefacts for us?”

“Then that means the only way to get our hand on those artefacts is to eliminate this damn dog first!”

Unruly Ban was biding his time on a high dune close by while observing everything that was happening near the gorge. He was witnessing the demise of countless Tomb Riders who were trying their mettle against the Rank-A Guard Dog.

“That Super Elena chick has confirmed what I wanted to find out. That Rank-A Dog must be brought down first before we can access them artefacts. It must be a mandatory effect. Tsk, those assholes better hurry and take care of busin…. Huh?”

While Unruly Ban was observing the battlefield, he noticed the approach of someone that he loath with an unruly passion. “It’s her!” Unruly Ban shot up out of the seat of his Press Roller when he recognized Angelina moving towards the battlefield.

“Everyone get ready to engage that damn dog!”

“What?” The other member of the Unruly Gang was surprised. “But boss, didn’t you say that we were going to wait until those Tomb Riders down there take down that giant dog for us?”

“Yeah, you said that after they defeated the dog and tire themselves out then we will make our move.” Delilah went close to Unruly Ban and asked him. “What changed all of a sudden?”

“Bitch, back the hell up out of my damn face!” Unruly Ban pushed Delilah out of his path then narrowed his eyes to a slit as he stared at Angelina swerving her motorbike left and right like the agile slut she was. “You mysterious balls licker. Think I’ll let you pull one over on me again? No, no, no, chica. I’m gonna pound your fat ass to dust this time!”

“Everyone, get your motors in gear and let’s go!” Unruly Ban started rolling his Press Roller down the sandy slope, moving closer towards the eerie gorge. His crew members followed closely behind him.

“KYAAAH!” The extremely large dog stamped its paws in the desert. The terrifying shockwave it created caused multiple Tomb Riders to get blasted away while the others had their motors shattered.

“There it is. We made it.” Angelina, Cockroach and Rooster stopped their motors far away from the dog’s attacking range then started observing the battlefield.

“They are really four artefacts sticking out of its ears.” Said Cockroach surprisingly.

“By the looks of the situation, we probably have to take down that dog before we can get our hand on the artefacts.”

“That shouldn’t be that difficult now.” Rooster saw the terrible state of the Rank-A Field Monster. “It’s on the verge of death’s door. When it comes crashing down, every Tomb Rider here will be rushing for those artefacts.”

“Then I reckon we get a head start.”

“But how do we accomplish that A.J? Should we just rush right into so many Tomb Riders unprepared?”

“That is exactly what I’m thinking, though not unprepared.” Angelina responded while revealing her Grace of Pinnacles from underneath the sand. “We are going to ride these artefacts straight to the top of that dog's head then deliver the final blow.”

“Ride the artefacts? Is that even possible.” Cockroach was doubting that possibility but Angelina reassured him.

“Of course it is possible. I have control over the artefacts’ tags remember. That means I can make them move where ever I want them to go. Now hop on before those Tomb Riders who are fighting each other noticed our artefact.” Angelina positioned the Grace of Pinnacles in the sand, forming a ramp. “Since your motor is smaller Cockroach, both of us should go on this one. Rooster you take the other one.”

“Roger.” Rooster positioned his Big Dang motor on a singular artefact while Angelina and Cockroach got onto the other one.

“Are we ready? Don’t fall off!” Angelina controlled the artefacts to rise up into the air, afterwards, they shot towards the head of the gigantic dog which was wreaking havoc to its last breath.

“It’s slowing down!” The Tomb Riders fighting against the dog started celebrating when they saw it started staggering over the gorge.

“HOOOOOO!” The dog gave off its last resounding howl which created ripples in the atmosphere that forced the attacking Tomb Riders to back off. During this heated moment Angelina and the rest of her crew who were riding the artefacts in the air didn’t back away. Instead, they charged forward with mediaeval valour.

“We made it through that hellish frequency!” Cockroach was amazed that they came across the killing tide of frequency unscathed.

“We’re going down!” Angelina crashed the artefacts that they were riding on into the hound’s neck.

“BAARK!” The dog cried out in pain after being bombarded then commanded its sharp furs to slaughter whoever was on its back.

“Everyone get down!” Perceiving the incoming onslaught, Angelina commanded her team to duck while she alone was standing with her hand pushed to the sky. “Immortal Defence!”

Angelina used the last remaining properties of her Emerald Soul Insignia to bathe her comrades in immortal energies which protected them from the dreadful furs.

“We’re still alive?” The furs bounced off of them like rubber.

Not waiting for the dog to unleash another dreadful attack, Angelina tossed the two Grace of Pinnacles high up. She used the inertia and momentum gain from the falling artefacts to impale the dog’s head. Dark blood splashed all over as the artefacts sunk deep into the dog’s cranium. It died instantly on impact. Now the dog's legs were wobbling unstably, forcing it to slowly fall into the gorge.
