Facing the six people who stood me, I asked them a question with a stern face.
“How long are you six gonna follow me? I’m gonna stay here for a while.”
A man with blue hair spoke to me in a stern voice.
“We can’t do that, Lumina-sama. We’re now your servants. It’s our duty to safeguard you.”
The other five behind him nodded their heads in unison. Feeling a headache, I massaged my temples with my two hands. I narrowed my eyes as the six stood at attention.
“Look…“Frank” Frank, Up until now, I’ve been doing this for a while and I haven’t fallen into danger. Not even once. So it’s okay to leave me here.”
(Nice assist, Emilia!)
“But… bu—“
“I want to be alone for now. So go to the dorm.”
I spoke to them in the coldest tone of voice I could muster. I know that they're doing this to protect me, but I honestly can’t get used the way they stare. The six swallowed their saliva. The three boys bowed to me before leaving while the three girls stood still.
“What about the three of you?”
A girl with a bobbed pink hair gathered her courage and replied to me with a pale face.
“U-ummm, we won’t go.”
(Muuu)
Raising one of my eyebrows, I placed my right hand on my hip and stood as imposingly as possible. Also according to Emilia her name was Mary.
“Why?”
“Uuh~”
The girl suddenly started crying. By the way, Emilia whispered to me that she was called Elizabeth and that her nickname was Liza. The girl that had blond vertical rolls replied for her with a blue face while pointing at Emilia.
“C-cause, she’s gonna stay.”
“Ah, her… She’s been my servant for five years now. So she’s okay.”
“Uuh~”
She started crying the second I replied to her. I was actually hurt when they started crying because of me. But because this is the only way I could make them leave me for tonight, I steeled my heart and maintained my poker face.
“The three of us have always wanted to speak with you, Lumina-sama. However, we cannot approach you in class and whenever it was recess or lunch break. You suddenly disappear.”
A short girl with a long silver hair and wore a beret on her head met my gaze with a resolute face. I could see that she had solidified her resolved for this from her face. However, because her knees were shaking as she positioned herself in front of me. It wasn't all that convincing. By the way, Emilia also whispered to me that her name was Victoria.
(Well, break time was the only time I could meet up with Emilia. And because I was busy writing all the things I could remember on paper while in class. So I didn’t really have the leeway to chat.)
“…”
Our gazes met for a while and her face slowly changed. First it became blue then white then purple and finally she joined the other two and started crying.
I looked at Emilia and found her making a troubled smile. She messaged me with her eyes that it wouldn’t pose any problems if they’d join us. I breathe out a very heavy sigh and nodded myself.
(I wonder how many times I’ve sighed today… haaa~)
“Its fine already, follow me.”
““” Yes!”””
The three of them rapidly coated their bodies with a blue aura and followed me and Emilia. Although we could also do the same thing as them, the two of us didn’t do so because we were more comfortable to walking in the air like this.
Emilia walked closer to me and said:
“Did it hurt, Lumina-sama?”
“Urghh…”
As expected of her. Because we’ve been together ever since we were seven, she’s gotten quite good at reading me.
“Was my face that scary? The three of them did cry.”
“Yes.”
(Ouch…)
“You’re my servant right?”
“No, I’m your friend right now.”
My cheek cramped when she said that with a smile.
“You’re really sly.”
“Hehe, I’ll always be by your side supporting you, Lumina-sama.”
“By the way, Emilia. Was gathering the entire student body your plan?”
Sweat started forming on her brow.
“… What do you mean?”
“Well, I kinda felt it like that. So is it true?”
The sweat became a waterfall and her smile became stiff.
“… Well.”
“No lying, okay. As your master, I order you to tell me the truth.”
“…”
“Come on.”
I made a devious smile as I continued my attack on her. Her poker face finally broke down and she spat a sigh.
“There’s no helping it.”
“Fufu…”
“Yes, it wasn’t intentional, okay! At first, I only gathered 10. But because they were afraid of speaking to you, they asked me if it was okay for them to bring their friends. I said yes cause I felt sorry for them. I just didn’t expect that those friends of theirs would also bring other friends and those other friends also bring more friends until it became the entire student body.”
“What!? Am I that scary? Is that the reason why I couldn’t make friends besides you?”
Emilia averted her eyes away from me. I felt irritated so I stopped walking and faced the three who were silently following us. I narrowed my eyes as I asked them a question.

“How do I look to you?”
The three of them became pale and started panicking. Tears started forming in Mary’s eyes while Victoria and Liza started to become blue.
“Don’t worry, I won’t do anything to you.”
Mary started bawling on the spot while Liza hid her face behind Victoria.
(So my face really is the reason… huhuhu.)
“Uum… ummm…”
I perked my ears when I heard Victoria’s voice.
“Y-you are our role model… Lumina-sama. All of us… adore you.”
“Then why are the two of them hiding behind you, crying?”
“Well… umm…. I’m sorry!”
Victoria suddenly bowed to me and hugged Liza and Mary. The three of them cried in front of me… again.
I knitted my brow as I stared at them and approached Victoria.
“I’m sorry for scaring you.”
I patted Victoria’s head as I tried to stop their tears. The three of them stared at me with wide eyes and cried louder.
Making a wry smile, I approached Emilia and spat out another sigh.
“I really want to cry right now…”
“It’s not your fault, Lumina-sama. Want me to tell you the reason?”
“No, I don’t.”
“Really? Why?”
“Cause I know that I'll surely cry if you told me.”
Emilia made a wry smile and started walked in front of me. She then reached out her hand.
“Don’t worry, Lumina-sama. As long as I’m here, you won’t be alone.”
“….”
I grabbed her hand and started walking again. After a while, Victoria approached me from my side and asked me a question with a meek face.
“Where are we headed to, Lumina-sama?”
“We’re headed to the magic course building.”
Emilia tilted her head from the side and asked me:
“Why?”
I frowned at her and replied:
“I feel like something big is gonna happen here because Eclara’s master isn’t Pax-sama anymore.”
Question marks started floating around the four people.
“Aren’t you thinking too much?”
“I hope so.”
We arrived at the magic course building and overlooked the special park which was reserved for the Elites. As I continued to look around, my envy towards them grew stronger by the second. Ever since my last visit here, which was the tour when we were still first graders, this park has become a lot more luxurious. And a large table, which I felt was used as a banquet table for sweets, could be seen near the edges of the park.
“I’ll bake you some cake when we get back to the dorms, Lumina-sama.”
Emilia who noticed how I felt, suddenly started speaking.
“I’ll look forward to it then.”
“Yes.”
On the corner of my eyes, I could see that the other three were taking notes. I wanted to ask them about it, but if I did. I’m sure they’d cry again.
After darting my eyes all over the wide park, I found a group of people exiting a building. In front of the group, I could see Eclara. I made a bluish window that you often see in sci-fi to help me visualize the scene. It kinda works the same way as how a camera captures images. The only difference is that it captures the mana waves that I release towards a location to display an image instead of light.
“As I expected.”
“Hmmm?”
“Carlos-sama?”
From my side, Liza spoke the name of the person that walked beside Eclara. I quickly remembered who he was.
His name was, Carlos Melykek, the only heir of the family that had the symbol of the blue serpent. He wore a blue cloak over his uniform. It greatly suited him along with his blue hair. Following closely behind them, two girls that looked almost the same as Liza, were radiating a bright smile.
Unlike Liza, whose vertical rolls were on both sides of her head, their vertical rolls could only be seen on one side. One had it on the left while the other on her right. Their hair was also blue, which was different from Liza's blond hair, but two shades lighter than Carlos’.
“You know him?”
I asked Liza who quivered her lips as she started at the screen.
“Y-yes… he’s the master who I was supposed to serve.”
“Uh-huh…. Then I think it's better if you go away.”
“Why?”
Liza widened her eyes as she asked me that question.
“Because of what's gonna happen the moment they try to do something to her. Will you raise your weapon against him or not?”
"Yes. He's not my master. You are, Lumina-sama."
Liza meekly nodded to me and a strong fire could be seen burning in her eyes. It seemed to me that she's already resolved herself to fight even against him.
The reason why I asked her that was because I remembered what happens in this event. I hopefully prayed that it doesn't, cause if it does. I will do all in my power to prevent it from happening.
Cause in the game what happened was...
