When my sleep was becoming light, I felt the earth tremor greatly. I could hear loud sounds near me, so I decided to open my eye to see what the cause was. I became silent at the scene that entered my eyes.
The students, who just became my servants, formed into two groups. One group was led by Emilia while the other group was led by six people. The two faced off against each other maintaining a fair bit of distance.
The two groups were shooting things against each other. Squinting my eyes to see what they were shooting. I discovered that they were shooting arrows. These arrows emitted a bluish light as they flew in the air.
I became worried if that arrow might kill a student so I followed one of them with my eyes. The arrow made a parabola on the sky and hit a student right in the chest. The student collapsed on the field. I thought that she was dead, but a student that was cloaked in a bluish aura flew down to her and carried her off the war zone.
Becoming curious about where she had come from, I switched my focus to the sky. I found out that there were around 30 students that were also cloaked with a bluish aura. And at the center of those 30 students, I saw Eclara and George watching the battle unfold.
Dusting the dirt off my clothes I headed towards the two. Ripples formed in the atmosphere with every step I make. The students, that flew while being covered with a blue aura, was busy collecting the collapsed students. They were responsible for placing them on a side of the field.
Eclara who noticed me first bowed her head deeply to me while George laughed out loud. Unlike George and the students, Eclara who could use normal magic wasn’t clad in a bluish aura. Instead, people near her could feel a strong wind from her.
“What are they doing?”
Pointing a finger to the battle that was happening below, George-sensei made a huge smile and said.
“War Practice.”
“War practice? Shouldn’t they be practicing magic instead of war?”
Eclara went closer and answered my question.
“A few minutes after you slept, Emilia explained to us that this magic is dependent on imagination. Because of that, the students managed to master it quite fast. Some started flying around everywhere. Others started shooting mana balls everywhere while some made tools and replicas of objects. Even I was shocked when I discovered that this magic was really easy to use.”
“…”
I remained quiet as I imagined what had happened.
“A student also discovered that when a person is hit by an object created by mana, that person wouldn’t suffer any injuries. Instead, they will only faint. But this only applies to mana objects that aren’t concentrated.”
“I’m quite surprised that there’s a student that was brave enough to hit another person with it.”
It was true that I was surprised. Emilia and I have been experimenting this magic for a year now, but neither of us was bold enough to try and hit a person with it.
“It was accidental.”
“I see…”
I didn’t expect that.
“Because of that discovery, I suggested to the students to do a practice war against each other. It helps them grow and develop while directing their energies to something constructive.”
George then followed up with an explanation.
“Is that so?”
After they were done with their explanations, I started spectating the battle from the sky. I then ordered a student that was passing by to prepare me some tea. He became flustered and ran away from me in tears. A few moments later, a female student approached me with red eyes and served me tea.
I really wanted to ask them why they were crying. I was pretty sure that the way I asked them didn’t shame my family. But because they were able to serve me tea, I ignored their tears and enjoyed my tea.
As the sun reached its peak, the last 50 students faced against each other. I started to feel hungry, so I descended to their battle.
“That’s enough, it’s almost lunch. Let’s declare this a draw for now and eat.”
The students became surprised by my sudden appearance. When my declaration finally entered their heads, all of them nodded to one another and walked away. The only remaining people in the field were me, Emilia, Eclara, and the six students who led the opposing team.
“Emilia, I’ll be waiting at the usual spot. Go get the food from the canteen for me.”
“Yes.”
Hearing my order, she headed towards the canteen. I then walked towards the sky and made a mana table and a chair.
When I was about to seat, I noticed that Eclara and the six students had followed me.
“Aren’t you gonna eat?”
“I’ll eat after you're done, Lumina-sama.”
“Us too.”
I wanted to say a lot of things to them but decided to wait for Emilia. I was confident that she had expected this because I saw her order 7 other students to follow her before I left.
A case of content theft: this narrative is not rightfully on Amazon; if you spot it, report the violation.
“Eclara, since you’re wearing this school’s uniform for the Magic course. Does that mean you’re taking classes?”
“Yes.”
“So that means, your real age is…”
“13, Lumina-sama.”
I became surprised by her answer. That’s because if she was only one year older than me, that means she was only 6 when she traveled around the kingdom. As well as becoming my teacher.
(Ahh, that’s right… I almost forgot. She was part of the protagonist’s harem. So her age should be close to mine. But still…)
“So you were six years old then?”
“Yes.”
The other six had questions marks floating on top of them as they had a hard time understanding our discussion. I gave them an understanding smile and explain to them that Eclara was my teacher in magic when I was still young.
The girl with blonde vertical rolls asked Eclara a question with sparkling eyes.
“Was traveling hard?”
“Because I could use magic, my journey wasn’t that hard.”
A boy with blue hair that reached his shoulders supplemented with another question.
“So the reason why Lumina-sama was so smart was because of you?”
“Ah, no. Lumina-sama learned how to read and solve by herself. All I did was teach her magic.”
A girl with pink hair that was tied into a ponytail puffed out her voluptuous chest, which made me envious, and said:
“That’s cause Lumina-sama is a prodigy. She even discovered this magic by herself.”
I suddenly remembered something and asked Eclara a question.
“Eclara, this magic is so easy and simple. Why is it that this magic isn’t widespread nor known by the magicians.”
“Ahh, that…. Well, that’s because according to the magic theory. The mana in the environment is absorbed by a special organ in the body into internal mana. Once it is converted, the body will then be able to use it and create miracles.”
“Really? No one even tested it?”
“No, cause most of them are afraid to die.”
“…”
So unlike the scientist back on earth, the magicians of this world either have a very narrow mindset or are wimps. We continued talking for a while and because I forgot what the names of the six people were. I did my best to act as I knew it. I was also really happy that I was able to talk to people other than Emilia.
A few minutes later, Emilia arrived along with 7 other students. I was glad that Emilia saw that the 7 people would follow me because if she didn’t. It’d be really awkward to eat while in front of them. Though they refused at first, but when I dropped the bomb by saying that it was an order. I was able to eat together with them.
Yep, food really tastes good when there are more people.
After lunch, the students gathered on the field again and separated into two groups. I tried to join in with them but was stopped by Eclara and George. According to them, the team I’d join will always have an overwhelming victory. When I asked them why the two of them answered:
“It’s because your our master.”
I was unable to argue back to their words and I spent my afternoon as a spectator again.
The war practice concluded as the sun started to set in the west. Students said goodbye to me and George before they went back to the dormitory. I then stopped Eclara as she started to leave.
“I want you to do something, Eclara.”
She then knelt in front of me. Because it felt really awkward, I stopped her from kneeling.
“I want you to help and observe the person who was summoned here.”
“That anomaly?”
“Yes.”
“Why?”
(It’s because he’s the protagonist. Troubles and problems will follow him wherever he goes. And because you were part of his harem in the game, you need to be near him so that he won’t come here to search for you…. LIKE HELL I CAN SAY THAT TO HER!!!)
I coughed a few time before I tightened my expression.
“I feel like he’ll become a great personage someday. I want you to help him and nurture him as he grows.”
“Really? I only see him as a pervert that likes to peek at girls. He has his good points, but they rarely appear.”
(Ahh, the clichés…)
“Well, just report to me the things he’s done there to me. Okay?”
“Yes.”
Eclara then walked away and headed to the Magic Student’s dormitory.
“Now, onto the next problem.”
I slowly turned my head and faced the people who were standing behind me. They numbered 7 and Emilia was included in that count. Ever since we’ve left the fields, these people continued to follow me. Though they didn’t say anything, it really felt weird having people follow behind you.
