Erik advised, "They haven't yet spotted us. We should ride out now and charge....."
"CHARGE!"
Namri with his tribesmen rode down the hill, charging right towards the enemy.
Rufus then stared at Erik with a smile.
"Yeah....like that," Erik said.
Rufus then immediately rode out on top of a monstrous black yak with all the other men and grey skins right behind him.
A six thousand strong cavalry charge at a fifty thousand strong army seemed suicidal, but no one in the empire had ever experienced the terror that was a black yak charge.
The varangians saw the enemy cavalry charging down at them and the commanders started to give orders for the soldiers to start forming lines to stop the charging cavalry.
Even though the varangians were known as the most disciplined soldiers of all the armies in the Aesis world, they too crumbled as the black yaks charged at them. The lines of the imperial soldiers were too thin and were getting rolled up like a carpet.
Rufus created two divine spheres and threw them at an enemy regiment in front of them. It as usual expanded and then destroyed everything inside it, killing hundreds of enemies all at once.

Edward himself was riding with the humans and charged at the undefended enemy camp taking down the tents and burning supplies. Edward jumped off his horse and started easily cutting his way through the varangians who thought they could take him on.
Some nobles of the empire tried to stop the charging enemy but it was also for naught. It was not long until the imperial army's commander realized she was between a hammer and an anvil.

A woman leading the attack at the city looked back at her army that was being flanked by cavalry. She immediately turned back with a small retinue of her personal soldiers.

Rufus was fighting off two nobles of the empire with ease and was able to blow one noble's arms off with just a touch with the other fleeing in horror.
The air suddenly turned hot and humid. Rufus saw that a spiral of fire was coming at him and he quickly dispersed it before it hit him with his divine power. Even fire was no match for Rufus's divinity to destroy anything he touched.
"Who the fuck are you!?"
A woman clad in golden armor and wearing a purple robe walked towards Rufus. She had black hair with many golden rings decorating her finger.
"I am king and raja of the kingdom of Fairfax," Rufus answered back.
The young woman looked mad.
"Fucking Etnians. Too scared to fight their own battles so they hire entire nations to fight for them."
"I take it your one of the children in purple?" Rufus asked.
"You are correct. Let me introduce myself to you. My name is Samanilde Phokas. I am the daughter of emperor Ala of the Heian empire," the young woman said proudly.
She then immediately twirled her hands creating spirals of flame and targeted them at him. Rufus dispersed the flames with his hands but then felt the ground beneath him feeling hot and saw that it had started to glow. He immediately jumped aside seeing that Samanilde had sent one of her fire spirals to attack her from beneath the earth.
As Rufus landed on the ground he threw one of his divine spheres at Samanhilde who dodged it fairly easily but was caught surprised when Rufus dashed in front of her.
She tried to get him away by blasting him with more fire spirals but Rufus easily brushed them off with his divinity. He then tried to grab her, but she took steps back and her personal retinue finally came to her rescue.
"Princess Samanilde, please evacuate," one of her soldiers said.
"What the hell!? I am not done here! I can still win against him" the princess argued.
"Please. Most of the men have already retreated and are already out of harm's way. They are marching to meet up with prince Berig who is arriving on the mainland with the main army," the soldier said.
"I am not done here. And anyways I am not leaving you. My army needs you all," Samanilde yelled out.
"Our army doesn't need us, but they need you," the soldier said.
With reluctance, Samanilde fled with her personal soldiers staying to hold back Rufus.
Rufus didn't even try to catch up to the fleeing princess and just stared at the soldiers in front of him.
"I do not wish to spill any needless blood. Please surrender," Rufus pleaded with them.
The soldiers took out their weapons and rushed at Rufus with him with a heavy heart easily taking care of them.
