CHAPTER 75. Min-soo’s Encounter {(Part-2) out of 3}

----------------------------------------

Meanwhile, I completed my Tier-2 Evolution in the rest period, improving my physical prowess by a large margin.

But even then, Mr Brandon was undoubtedly the most powerful one among the three of us, and even in the Trial World rankings among 11 million Alpha-Chosen, he was in the top 1000.

That made me wonder about the other three who were ranked even above Mr Brandon. Especially that monster of a man, who was even ranked 1st in the whole Trial World.

In a world filled with dangerous monsters, where the Alpha-Chosen had to live in fear of death, having such a powerful person from Earth gave me a strange sense of comfort.

I bet Mr Brandon would offer tons of money and any other things that suit the No.1 Alpha Chosen's desires.

As long as we three groups up with him, chances of our survival in the Trial World would increase, but the problem would be whether he would even want to join us?

There were also Olivia and Sergei, who were ranked above Mr Brandon in the Trial World Rankings.

In an online conference, Mr Brandon shared the intel he gathered on a few other Earth's Alpha-Chosen through the USA's intelligence networks spread throughout the globe.

The intelligence division under 'Guardian Guild' cross-checked the first names of the Earth's Alpha Chosen shown in the and the common aspect of the Alpha-Chosen, such as being a prodigy in their respective fields. This reduced the remaining Eight Alpha Chosen to 879 possible candidates.

Well, rather than Eight Alpha-Chosen, it should be Seven because we found out that the 'Sergei' among the Alpha-Chosen was the 'Sergei Mikhailov' who is a top-notch assassin from Russia.

When I saw the list of his confirmed kills along with some disturbing images of the death he left behind on the 18-hour rest period after Day-1, it scared the hell out of me.

Even though I was fearful of such a dangerous assassin, I hoped to have Sergei within our group for higher chances of survival from another perspective.

Soon, the rest period ended, and Day-3 began. Unlike what I expected, Mr Brandon didn't try to approach Sergei in any way.

Out of confusion, I asked Mr Brandon as to why he didn't try to recruit Sergei now that we know of his identity directly.

In turn, Mr Brandon asked me to imagine myself in a scenario where I didn't meet him in the Trial World and if I were to be approached by a stranger saying that he was from the US Government and that he knows that I am an Alpha-Chosen and want to recruit him into an unknown organisation.

If I were to be in such a scenario, I would feel threatened by the fact that the opposite party knows everything about me, whereas I would be oblivious to their identity.

Even if they were to introduce themselves, I wouldn't trust a person from an unknown, strange organisation.

Only by imagining myself in such a scenario did I realise how far ahead Mr Brandon had thought it through and was awed by his foresight.

Mr Brandon said that it would be inevitable for us 11 Earth's Alpha Chosen to meet each other.

So, instead of approaching them on Earth, he said that it's best to meet the others in the Trial World as their fellow Alpha-Chosen who were in the same situation as them.

With the Trial Program shortening to one-third of its size, the need to group up increased even more because once all 11 of us Earth's Alpha Chosen group up, our chances of survival would increase along with our leveling speed from killing monsters together.

Because of that, I was sent to scout the surroundings since I could sense spatial fluctuations in a 10 km radius searching for other Alpha Chosen.

This narrative has been unlawfully taken from Royal Road. If you see it on Amazon, please report it.

An hour passed since Day-3 began, and nearly 15 mins after I started scouting, I sensed someone in my 10 km radius moving at extreme speeds.

Even though I could teleport as far as 500 meters at once, I was still shocked by such fast movement.

I sensed the spatial movement pattern was rather odd since it was more like the path of a stone thrown outwards into the air, but just before landing on the ground, the same pattern repeated itself, almost like flying in the air.

Whatever that was, it didn't sense my presence since it didn't head in my direction, and 3 km away from me, it came to a stop.

Using that chance, I used a new trick I came up with while experimenting with the Space element that I could manipulate. This was possible thanks to my Space Innate Talent.

I closed my eyes, and it took me some time to concentrate using my spatial sense radius at the location where it stopped.

Then, a black and white visualisation of the targeted space appeared in my mind. I call it 'Space Visualisation'.

To my surprise, the figure wasn't a monster but a human. I initially imagined it to be a monster because of its high travel speed, but that doesn't seem to be the case.

Through the Space Visualisation, I could observe the outline of the location I targeted and everything within it.

For some reason, his body outline was covered in some kind of blur, making it impossible for me to even tell if that person was a Man or Woman.

Anyway, I was happy to come across another fellow Alpha-Chosen and invite that person into our group. I immediately began to teleport towards the unknown Alpha-Chosen.

In just a few seconds, I crossed 3 km and finally managed to look at that person as he walked through a door-sized hole in a transparent barrier.

He wore a black suit with golden patterns on it, along with a longsword floating behind his back.

I used on him, but all I could find was his name since everything else about his was in question marks.

But that name was enough to send me into euphoria because I didn't think I would be able to find the most powerful Alpha-Chosen so soon.

While I was in my thoughts, a loud shriek resounded in the surroundings, making me cover my ears in pain.

Even then, my ears bled from that shriek. In the next second, a huge eagle entered my vision and headed towards the diminishing hole in the barrier beside Jay, who was 200 meters away.

When I used on that monster, the Common Grade skill levelled up into an Uncommon Grade one, . I was now able to see that it was a High-Phase Tier-3 Monster, sending shivers down my spine.

I experienced a potent Tier suppression from the Storm Eagle even when that Monster was 200 meters away from me. I saw it trying to break some kind of transparent barrier before the hole recovers itself.

The terrifying suppression brought me to my knees, but the man who was standing near that Monster didn't seem to be affected by that suppression at all.

Instead, he was calmly watching the Storm Eagle to see if the monster could really break that transparent barrier or not.

The transparent barrier didn't budge even under the Storm Eagle's barrage of attacks, which caused the ground beneath me to reverberate. Then the hole in the barrier recovered itself and disappeared.

Only then did the Storm Eagle halt in its tracks and turn its attention to Jay, and right away attacked him with the sharp talons of its paw.

Instead of dodging its attack, he attacked it with a full-frontal attack using his sword that was covered in a dark blue aura and a sharp transparent wind layer.

I didn't understand why he was trying to attack a High-Phase Tier-3 monster instead of running away from it when he was only at Lv.25.

Even though I couldn't see his level in his , I could tell he was at Lv.25 because each one in the Leaderboards Rankings had their level shown beside their names.

In the next second, my eyes widened in shock as I couldn't believe that the one that was wounded in the confrontation was the Storm Eagle.

Following that, the monster flew a few hundred meters into the air and started shooting 10-meter long wind blades at Jay.

But none of them managed to reach Jay, who moved at a speed to the point my eyes couldn't keep even up with his movement.

Those long wind blades are so powerful that those giant trees were sliced apart like tofu.

To not get in their crossfire, I tried to teleport away and observe them from further away, but I was obstructed by some kind of barrier.

Only then did I realise that the Dome was some kind of powerful barrier that not even my space sense could detect.

It seemed that I accidentally entered the Dome by teleportation when there was a hole in it. But since the door-sized hole in the Dome was closed, I wasn't able to use teleportation to escape the strange Dome.

Then I reasoned to myself that since I didn't create a hole in the Dome and even the Storm Eagle couldn't do it, then it must have been Jay.

I didn't know how he made a hole in such a powerful barrier and how he was able to fight head-on against such a powerful Tier-3 monster, but I rooted for him to win.

Because, if the Storm Eagle comes out as the victor, I would be stuck in the strange Dome along with that Tier-3 monster. When it finds me, it would be my death without a doubt.
