CHAPTER 124: The sneaky waitress and her Pseudo-narcissistic boyfriend.
----------------------------------------
Within the restaurant's top floor, a group of 9 members sat around a round table and one by one, waiters brought food starters for those people and soon left them.
As soon as they exited the well-decorated luxurious room, those waiters looked at their manager who oversaw the entire process and anxiously waited for his response.
For a brief moment, those waiters and waitresses held their breath, worrying that their manager would find faults in their customer services.
But when they saw their strict manager giving them a thumbs up, they all let out a sigh of relief.
"You all did well. Keep this up the entire session. Next will be the main food items. Let the VIP customers finish the starter items before stepping into the private room. Alright, Chop-chop! Go back to your work now."
Those waiting staff quickly resumed their work and once they were further away from the manager, a waiter asked his peer, "Ah, Man, that was intense. I have attended quite some VIP's but today's group gave an entirely different pressure. For some reason, it felt harder to breathe under their presence. Sigh, maybe I am thinking too much."
The other waiter replied with a surprise, "You felt that too? I thought my asthma flared up back then and worried I would drop those dishes. Thank God nothing like that happened or Restaurant Manager would have skinned us. After all, those are VIP customers who reserved an entire floor for themselves."
Not just the two of them but the remaining were also having similar discussions while continuing their work.
However, one of them went in a separate way before sneakily taking out her phone and calling someone.
For the employees in that restaurant, it's mandatory to place their phones in their respective lockers before starting their work there so that the employees won't be distracted from doing their work efficiently.
Of course, daily when they are leaving from work, they could take their phones back.
Ring...Ring....Ring...Ring.....
"Ah, just pickup already…." The sneaky waitress frustratedly uttered as the person on the other side didn't pick up quickly.
The sneaky waiter called two more times and when she was about to give up, the other party lifted the call on the third try.
"Idiot! I am risking my job for you and there you are, careless enough to not even pick your phone immediately."
A male voice stuttered on the other side of the call, "So...sorry babe, when you called, my publisher was on my neck, demanding more celebrity stories for tomorrow's newspaper. It's not like I could pull them out of thin air.
I am lucky to have my beautiful girlfriend who works in the city's most famous restaurant, where celebrities often visit. Without my angel what could I possibly do?
So, who is it, babe? You used to message me but seeing that you want to talk, some famous celebrities must have visited there right?"
The entertainment journalist on the call said in one fell swoop, not giving his girlfriend the room to talk after noticing that she was mad at him for picking the call late.
His honey-coated words and praises were to cool down the angry waitress and that seemed to work well.
"Alright, enough with your glib tongue. I will directly get to the point. Do you remember a week ago there was a sensation about that retrial case, where an Enterprise won against the Quadnite Conglomerate in Court?"
"Yea, Yea…..the Nav-Yuga Enterprise, that news blew up back then. Even today, that news is on the trending charts. Is it about that uprising Enterprise?"
You might be reading a stolen copy. Visit Royal Road for the authentic version.
His girlfriend replied, "Yup, to be precise, it's about the youngest son of that Enterprise's CEO, who became famous after that retrial incident. He appeared along with a group, there were even three bodyguards with them as well. The others must be famous as well. If you can come soon, you can get some pictures and possibly take a short interview, that is if you are lucky enough."
As if a fuse lit up in his mind, the entertainment journalist blabbered, "Oh, wait...wait, I remember his name, it's ...yes, it's Kay. He is famous not just as a lawyer that took down a huge conglomerate and an Enterprise CEO's son but also for his dashing looks.
Apparently, he became a hot topic among girls. Especially, the female coworkers in my office go bonkers for this guy. I admit that he looks handsome but isn't this too crazy? I mean, If it's looks we are talking about, I guess I wouldn't fall far from this guy. right?"
The waitress clicked her tongue and said before ending the call, "Peh! Who are you kidding? The fact that you are asking this means you haven't properly looked at this guy. Anyway, come quick. Bye, I gotta go. Duty calls…"
On the other end of the call, the Journalist stood in an innocent stupor after his girlfriend's blunt words and walked towards the mirror nearby and combed his unkempt hair with his hand before saying to himself, "She must be joking right? Aren't I handsome?"
Just then, a colleague of his walked past him and overheard his words. She then scowled at him before walking off. "Who are you kidding?!"
The Journalist froze for a second after hearing the very exact words of his girlfriend once again and consoled himself, "Girls these days don't have good taste."
He then gave a flying chef kiss towards his mirror reflection and quickly left from there to the restaurant.

Meanwhile, on the top floor, Jay learned everything that transpired between the sneaky waitress and her Journalist boyfriend through the skill
He could have just made her forget about them before the waitress could even make a phone call but Jay intentionally didn't do that.
Not just that but he also concealed this couple's conversation from Olivia's attention.
After all,
It's just that she doesn't have the skill
It's a skill that was created from converging two of Olivia's skills that Jay gained from synchronising with her Moon Origin Sigil.
The process of 'Synchronising' could also be done the other way around. Olivia could learn any new skill that Jay learns using
Rather, Qew would be able to use
Typically, one could only use a skill that is relevant to their respective innate talent.
However, Jay was an exception for that. He was able to use the skill
For anyone who doesn't have an Innate Talent that's related to fire, it's almost impossible to use a fire elemental skill. It's a similar case to every other innate talent user as well.
When Jay first learned about it, he attributed it to be either due to his unusually powerful innate talent or because of his access to Origin Energy.
Jay didn't know which one of them was responsible but it was clear that he could use any skill even if doesn't have that respective innate talent in his possession.
But, recently Jay learned that it wasn't just him but his sister who also was able to use any skill without having the respective innate talent.
The only prerequisite for her to use a skill was that it had to be created using her innate talent's 1st innate exclusive skill,
Still, whether it's Jay or Qew, they couldn't bring out that skill's full potential without a respective innate talent in possession.
It's a limitation that exceptional innate talent users like Jay and Qew had to face.
Jay could simply overcome that limitation by simply looting their respective innate talent but it wasn't the case for Qew.
The difference could be clearly seen in their usage of the skill,
Since Jay could use Olivia's innate talent, he could bring out the full potential of
Whereas Qew could only use it for a limited amount of time due to the consumption of Spirit Energy and increased mental exhaustion rate and could only use it as an active skill.
As a matter of fact, Qew was using
She already guessed what her elder brother was trying to do.
Since the skill
