A day later the goblins had finished expanding the next room to Adrian's standards so he decided to start using up his DP to make it more dungeon-like.
He had already decided on a theme for his dungeon, he was going to make it look like a forest. Yes, very anticlimactic, he knew. But if his dungeon was going to be named the Verdant Depths he figured that he should make his dungeon a very lush and verdant forest!
The very first thing he did was click the forest setting on the DP catalog and purchase it causing a lot of trees to appear inside of his vision filling the entire second room. This cost him 250 DP of his just over 500 DP, and he was pained but he knew it would be worth it later.
It was not like he could transplant the trees himself after all. A slight bonus though, for picking the forest scenery was that it made his dungeon taller, it was now around 20 feet tall with the highest trees reaching around 18 feet. The entire room was about the size of a soccer field.
It was very dark inside the dungeon, as there was no source of light, so he decided to buy some plants called [Luminous Flora], they were very cheap at 2 DP each, as all they did was emit light.
He bought 50, and for every 10 he bought he was given one for free! He didn't know the Dungeon shop had deals like this but he was very satisfied. He placed them around the entire room making it visible for the normal human eye, even placing a few in the original room lighting up his entire dungeon.
He then looked through the list of monsters that would normally appear inside of a forest so that he could spawn some to defend his dungeon. He wanted everything to match, it's not like he was going to spawn some sort of fire monster inside a forest, otherwise his whole dungeon would burn down!
Although he did not have a lot of DP to work with he will do what he can. He looked over all the types of plants first, because due to his dungeon being inside of a forest, all sorts of plants and fauna were cheaper than if he had a dungeon inside of a mountain.
He saw there was a plant called [King's Tassel] which was essentially just a sort of living vine, that would attack any living creature that got near. They also grew quite fast and were fairly cheap, each vine only costing 40 DP.

Species: King's Tassel

Combat Power: ☆☆☆☆☆⑥
They were even stronger than the goblins, and the goblins cost more DP! Adrian assumed that it was because goblins were mobile, and the vines were not. The goblins were also more intelligent even though goblins are not smart at all, the vine only acts based on instinct.
He bought five of them, spending 200 DP in order to get the “buy five get one free” deal. He knew the dungeon was just enticing him with these deals but he had to use them because he was just too poor!
He placed the six [King's Tassel] around the dungeon room, placing two of them fairly close to each other because he was later going to place a chest there to entice adventurers. He wasn't evil, he was just playing his part as a dungeon master.
He looked at his remaining 62 DP to see what he could purchase, he had made a little extra DP which was why he had so much left.
His eyes finally stopped searching when he landed on the seeds section, he noticed that there were monster plants he could buy for much cheaper, if he bought the seeds for them instead of the fully grown plant!
He finally selected two seeds and purchased them with his remaining DP.
[Fanged Bromeliad (seed)] 50 DP for 5
[Corpse Flower (seed)] 10 DP for 2
He did not get any deals this time sadly but he was fine with his purchases either way. The [Fanged Bromeliad] were a sort of blood sucking bright orange flower that when fully grown could have a 0 star rank 8 power, a deadly plant for sure!
The [Corpse Flower] was a bright indigo flower, that would release a corpse poison when neared, corpse poison was normally found on monsters of the dead, like zombies or ghouls. However this flower, which was normally found in places filled with the dead, was planted by Adrian in his dungeon.
Although the poison that these flowers release is not very deadly, if left untreated for a long time it will cause its victim to die, before resurrecting as a zombie! The cure for this 0 Star rank 3 flower is widely known though.
Adrian planted the five [Fanged Bromeliad] around the room, and placed the two [Corpse Flower's] next to each other, as they grew quite fast and were stronger in numbers.
Sadly, for Adrian's penny pinching ways these flowers would not repopulate and make more flora around his dungeon because they were bought using DP.
Adrian decided over the next few days he would spend all his DP to continue planting more plants in his dungeon that could be used to defend it. He would purchase actual monsters later, he already had his goblins and his Verdant Wolves after all.
