Lake Monster (2)

Adrian met up with Gobble and Goblette to make sure everything was alright when he got back. "How is everything going?"

"All is well and good in the dungeon, however..." Gobble looked over to Goblette who rolled her eyes at the fact she had to deliver the bad news.

"The dungeon is safe, but there seems to be something inside of the lake that has been eating a massive amount of fish. We tried to look for it, but we were unable to find the cause of it" Goblette explained

Adrian was confused and he pulled up the Dungeon Status page.

Dungeon: The Verdant Depths

Dungeon Level: Maze (14%)

Dungeon Points: 20675 (+10192)

Subordinates: (1)

Adrian was shocked at the amount of daily DP he was earning. Whatever was inside of the lake was an extremely deadly monster! Well, maybe not deadly but surely strong! He had gained more DP in the last few days than the total amount he had previously combined!

He opened his dungeon map to see where the monster was, and saw on his map inside of the lake there was a red dot that was positioned near the bottom. It was not moving, sitting at the deepest part of the lake.

He opened up what he called the CCTV and pulled up the image from the bottom of the lake. It was a shadowy figure that Adrian assumed was sleeping because of its lack of movement. It was really dark at the bottom of the lake and his CCTV was not able to assist in seeing in the dark.

Adrian decided to get a closer look at the monster, so he purchased a small aquatic creature before bestowing intellect on it and sending it down into the lake towards the red dot.

The fish swam up to the shadow as it swam around bumping into it a few times and getting no response. The fish did this for a few minutes before Adrian saw its blue dot swimming away from the red one and towards the surface.

Adrian determined that the monster was not dangerous, well it was sleeping so everything was still up in the air as of right now. Adrian opened the map once more before using Inspect on the figure. The flood dragon stirred a little in its sleep as Adrian inspected it, causing him to pause, only resuming once the flood dragon stopped moving.

Name: Zylrast Tempest

Title: [Rain of the Forest]

Species: Juvenile Flood-Dragon

Skills: ????

Combat Power: ????

The monster was a flood dragon! And it's power was equivalent to Samantha's a B-Rank adventurer! It might even be stronger than hers! He was unable to base their strength on anything besides the fact both of them gave him question marks.

He looked into his DP shop as he tried to find something he could use to safely communicate with the flood dragon that was in the lake. He scrolled until he eventually found a [Relay Scroll], which was a magical scroll that could record a message then replay it at a later date. It cost 250 DP which was quite expensive, but considering it was a magical item that made sense.

He bought the scroll before he pulled it out and started recording.

"Greeting Zylrast, I am curious as to what your intentions are for coming to my territory?" he did not want to come off as a pushover or as egotistical so he decided to try to meet somewhere in the middle.

He rolled the scroll up and had the fish from earlier deliver it to the Flood Dragon. The fish swam over to the flood dragon as it brought the scroll towards its head. The scroll played, but the flood dragon was still sleeping so it didn't notice.

Adrian thought for a moment before he ordered the fish to start ramming the flood dragon in the face in order to wake it up. The fish backed up to gain some momentum before it swam full force into the flood dragon's face.

The flood dragon twitched slightly as it exhaled a long breath causing the fish to be blown away. Continuing to sleep the flood dragon seemed to not even notice. The fish again rammed into the flood dragon with all its might attempting to awake it from its slumber.

This happened a few times before a rumble was heard from the floor dragon's throat, as it said "Annoying pest", it ate the fish and the Relay Scroll that Adrian had purchased in one gulp before it went back to sleep finding the most comfortable position.

Adrian's heart hurt slightly at this because he had just lost 250DP in one bite! Although, considering the Flood Dragon was giving him around 10000 DP daily he decided to let it slide. He surely didn't let this happen because the flood dragon was many times stronger than him, it was only because Adrian owed him one for the free Dungeon Points. Surely...

Realizing that this tactic wasn't going to work, as Dragon's were known to love their sleep, flood dragons most likely being the same. Adrian decided that he would wait for the flood dragon to wake up before he tried again.

He told the goblins to inform him when the flood dragon went hunting for fish again, as it was easily noticeable with the splashes it made from its movement. The dragon hunted once each day for the past two days, so Adrian was inclined to believe he will hunt again tomorrow.

Lucky for Adrian it wasn't a super hostile flood dragon just yet, so he had time to think of strategies in case that happened. So meanwhile, Adrian wanted to buff up his dungeon.
