After finishing all of their in-processing Adrian was sitting inside of a cell with Gorbin and Gabbie. The bright side of all this was that none of them had been separated, not even their verdant wolves.
They were asked a lot of questions by the guards like why they were fighting, who they were fighting with, their names. All that good stuff, they even asked if there was someone to report to in order to bail them out.
Adrian sat in the cell as Gorbin said "What did those punks say their gang was called?"
"The lightning Gang. Definitely a group of local pests" Gabbie said
"Lightning Gang? Heh, don't worry I will get my licks back in!" Gorbin said as he messaged the swollen part of his face. His wolf attempted to lick his face trying to ease his pain.
At this time the jangle of keys was heard as a guard came up to their cell and began to unlock it "Alright get up, someone had paid your bail!"
The group stood up as they were led out of the jail cell they were in. They were given back their weapons and items as they were then kicked out the front door.
Standing in front of Adrian was Mara Alois with her arms crossed and a slightly unhappy expression on her face. Adrian had an embarrassed expression on his face because this was the second time he used her name without her approval. She even had to pay a bail in order to release him from prison!
"Follow me" she said as she turned not looking at him any longer.
Adrian wryly smiled as their group began to follow her. She led them to a spot with slightly less people and turned around and looked towards Adrian.
"How can you be so stupid? You were supposed to come here to get a land deed, not get in fights!" She fumed
"It wasn't our fault! We were being robbed!"
"Robbed?! There is nothing to rob on you guys, look how poor you are! You made me so mad, I don't know why I helped you!" Mara stomped her foot.

Adrian didn't know what to say so he only scratched his head, even the two goblins lowered their heads in embarrassment.
"Did you at least get the land deed? If you did not it will be much harder now that you have gone to jail for fighting" Mara said her anger once again rising.
Adrian could not understand why she would get so mad about problems that were related to him but he nodded and said "Yes, I got the land deed". He pulled out the paper showing it to her before she began to calm slightly.
"Good! You owe me for coming to bail you out then!" Mara said looking at the land deed
Adrian nodded considering he would have stayed in jail much longer if he was not bailed out "Sure I will buy you dinner next time" Adrian offered.
"Dinner? I don't want dinner. I want you to let me live on your tree of life!" Mara looked towards him.
"The tree of life? World?" Adrian was confused at this request
"Yes! I will bring my own materials, and build a house on the tree of life. I don't trust you to protect it anymore seeing as how stupid you are" Mara said motioning towards the jail they had just left from
It suddenly clicked for Adrian as to why she would want to live on the tree of life, she was an elf, and she felt duty bound to protect the tree of life. It was also very beneficial for elves to live near such trees because of their cultivation path.
Adrian thought about it for a bit before he nodded, seeing no harm in the proposition. He was going to build a town there anyway, so Mara being his first resident was fine by him. He would need to move his dungeon core though, as it would be in close proximity to Mara and he didn't want her to catch on.
"Great! I will be there after I finish getting all my things settled here." Mara said as she began walking away going to finish her business. She stopped before she turned and said "Also, try not to get in any more fights before you leave."
"I will send word for you if I get locked up again" Adrian joked but seeing how Mara's face began to turn ugly he shook his hands and said "Of course! of course! No fighting!". Mara scoffed and walked away into the distance no longer bothering with Adrian.
Adrian took the goblins with him as they began their journey back home. Even though the sun was starting to set, Adrian did not care because he wanted to leave this City as fast as possible! He did not have good feelings about this city, because since he got here he was beaten twice, and thrown in jail! This was not a warm welcome in the slightest.
He was definitely not going to be taking any notes on how to run a city from this place as whoever was running Endless City was doing a terrible job! It was a wonder how this city became so prosperous.
They slowly walked back to the dungeon, camping for the night in the plains before arriving the next day after sunrise.
"Finally I am back!" Adrian sighed in relief looking at World Towering over all the trees in its vicinity.
