Information Gathering

Adrian watched as the Knights left the dungeon, a sigh of relief exiting his mouth. These knights were strong! He wanted them out of his dungeon as fast as possible.

He had set this whole situation up in order to get the knights to get what they wanted and leave in the quickest time. He had spent DP in order to buy a prop skeleton that was very realistic and placed it next to the chest along with the ledger.

He even put clothes on it, and ripped pieces of the clothes off and attached them here and there to trees in order to make a trail. He wanted them to find the ledger without noticing anything suspicious.

There was one miscalculation he made though. While the knights were fighting the King's tassel around the treasure chest he had used a sleeping powder he purchased to knock one out that was slightly ostracized and kidnapped him in order to obtain information from him later.

Little did he expect that the knights actually cared enough to come back and look for one of their missing brethren! They even found the bee spawner which he didn't want them to see, so the knights knew for a fact they were inside of a dungeon.

One misplay ruined his entire plan, but he can't accurately guess the nature of people now can he. He didn't know what this miscalculation on his part might lead to, but he didn't want to find out.

He let the knight's leave because he knew if he sent his wolf riders after them even if they

were able to win the fight over half of them would die in it. These knights were no joke!

The knights were better equipped, stronger, and much more coordinated.

He turned to the knight that was sleeping in front of him and ordered Gorbin and Gabbie to get information from him before he left to continue cultivating his magic power; he had not been able to condense a rune yet after all.

---

Gorbin and Gobble were standing in front of the sleeping knight who has now been tied up with some vines.

"How long do you think until he wakes up?" Gorbin says looking at Gabbie

"Maybe an hour? That sleeping powder seems to be really effective" Gabbie lightly slapped the knight's face getting no response

"Well I don't wanna wait an hour, let's throw him in the lake and see if he wakes up" Gorbin started to pick him up.

Gabbie stopped him and said "Don't, once you do that one of us is going to have to retrieve him because he won't be able to swim like this! Just splash some water on him"

This story has been taken without authorization. Report any sightings.

Gorbin retrieved some water from the lake, throwing it right at the knight's face "Wakey! Wakey!"

The knight woke up with a fright "What the hell!"

"Good, you are finally awake! Now it's time for you to tell us some information!" Gabbie slightly smiled at him.

"Goblins!? I always knew the Good Monster Legislation was a terrible idea. All of you monsters are evil!" the knight spat towards them.

"Good Monster Legislation?" Gabbie asked, confused.

"Of course you won't know you are just a stupid goblin! I don't know why your race was even included in the list."

"Alright enough shit talking, or I will fill that nasty mouth of yours with rabbit shit!" Gorbin said

The knight scoffed but didn't say anything more opting for silence he looked around trying to find his companions.

"We invited you here today in order to get some information from you today!" Gorbin smiled "We just need to know some basic things, nothing that would make you a traitor"

"Of course if you don't comply we can incentivize you!" Gabbie said as she stabbed her spear into the ground.

"Yes also don't worry about your companions, they are safe! For now!" Gabbie snickered

And so by promising not to harm his companions they were able to get information from him about the general knowledge of this world. The basics about where they were they already knew, they lived in the Shadowed Timberland which bordered the Sunfire plains.

Inside of the Sunfire plains, the knights came from a place called Endless City, which was ruled by Baron Julliard. The City surrounded the giant pillar that Adrian had seen earlier, and that pillar was actually a dungeon called Endless Plains Prison.

They lived inside of a place called Skull Country, which was very fitting because the continent they lived on looked like a skull.

The power ranking of this world was also easily understandable, there were two main paths of cultivation: Magic, and Battle Force. Also known as Magus and Knights.

Knights were divided into ranks as follows

1 - Knight Squire

2 - Standard Knight

3 - Genuine Knight

4 - Adept Knight

5 - Grandmaster

6 - Earth Knight

7 - Radiant Knight

8 - Temple Knight

9 - Saint Knight

10 - Divine Knight

Magus were divided into the ranks as follows

1 - Novice

2 - Apprentice

3 - Journey Magus

4 - Master

5 - Elder

6 - Magus

7 - Lord Magus

8 - High Magus

9 - Arch Magus

Interesting to note was that Adrian's previous rank of Grand Magus was not on this list confirming he cultivated an entirely different path of magic from what they were told by the knight. Although the general concept was the same the ranking was different.

Magus were also generally stronger than their Knight counterparts inside of the same rank, and there were different categories to both cultivations. There were Priests, Fire mages, Water mages, etc.

For Battle force users they were essentially the same, they just differed depending on what weapon they used, so an assassin and a fighter both used battle force, just different weapons changed their class. If a battle force user got into close contact with a magus though the fight would be over in a second. Magus were known for being terrible in close combat.

The goblins also noted that the Adventurers were divided into the ranks as follows

1 - F

2 - E

3 - D

4 - C

5 - B

6 - A

7 - S

8 - SS

9 - SSS

The ranking of adventurers usually correlates to their ranking as a magus or battle force user but it might change slightly depending on actual combat strength. You needed to pass a test in order to rank up as an adventurer after all.

They also learned that certain dungeon's were put on kill lists while others were left alive. The knight doesn't know why this is so, the adventurer guild just determines which ones are to be eliminated and which ones aren't.
