He entered the building as Gorbin and Gabbie followed him. He looked around and saw a few people sitting at tables eating some food and drinking alcohol as they laughed.
Adventurer's were often avid drinkers of alcohol because their entire job was very dangerous and drinking helped to ease their nerves in their off-time.
Towards the other side of the building there were four counters which had receptionists behind them serving people who were either turning in quests, accepting quests, or something of the sort.
Adrian walked to the leftmost receptionist, she was a blue haired woman wearing glasses and a suit. She had a pony tail that came towards the front of her face looking sort of like a horn. She politely greeted him "Hello! I am Skylar, how may I be of assistance!"
"Hello, me and my friends here would like to apply to be adventurers!"
"Sure! That will be 10 coppers for each of you!"
Adrian's face frowned slightly as he said slowly "Would you be able to take items of equivalent value?"
"Sorry Sir, but we only accept money here. It's company policy" she smiled at him.
He nodded as he said "Do you know where I could sell Herculean Beetle shells?"
"Sure! Any of the armor shops around the city will happily purchase them. There is one just down the street." She gave him directions before he thanked her and headed towards the armor shop.
He arrived at the shop walking through the door to see an old woman at the back of the shop hammering away at some metal that was next to a furnace. She was very obviously crafting some sort of weapon or armor.
Adrian patiently waited as he watched her work marveling at her skill at the craft.
She eventually finished up before she turned to him with sweat on her brow as she smiled "Hello dear customer! Sorry about that, I am Samantha, owner of Sammy's Hammy, how can I help you?"
"I am here to sell some Herculean Beetle shells," Adrian said, pulling them out of his bag that was on his back.

"Oh! I rarely get good materials like that here. The shitty dungeon next to us doesn't produce many good crafting materials. Where did you get these?" She took the shells as she felt them to test their quality.
"Looks like they were killed by an expert too" she didn't see any form of damage to the shell.
"I don't know about an expert, maybe just a little more skilled than me" Gorbin said
"A little taller too!" Samantha looked at him and laughed
"I got them from a dungeon not too far from here. It is called The Verdant Depths, and has only recently surfaced" Adrian explained
"Oh? I must check it out then, I am in need of more materials. A prairie like this doesn't have much to work with in regards to forging materials."
"What sort of monsters are in the dungeon then?" Gabbie asked confused
"Meh, just some regular old ones, there are Giraffes, bison, prairie dogs, and coyotes. There are golems on the higher levels, but I can't craft weapons out of rocks now can I" Samantha rolled her eyes.
"Sounds like there is very little reason to enter a dungeon with such terrible drops" Gabbie muttered to herself
"I am actually currently working on applying for a land deed around the dungeon, I will let you know how that all works out. I will welcome you at any time once I finish up the process"
"hohoho I never said I would move over there! But I am indeed interested in this dungeon, we shall see boy! Alright, go ahead about your business then I want to start forging with these materials. I am already excited!" she shooed him out of her store.
Adrian turned to use inspect on her as he was walking out of the store curious at this woman's skills in blacksmithing.
Name: Samantha Heartridge
Title:
Profession: Blacksmith, Ex-B Rank Adventurer
Species: Human
Skills: ????
Combat Power: ????
She paused right before walking back into the store as she said "One more thing boy! Be careful of who you use that skill of yours on. Some people won't take too kindly to it!" She then shut the door as she walked back inside.
Adrian's heart raced at this because he didn't think anyone would be able to notice him using inspect on them. It wasn't an attack skill or anything of the sort so he thought it would go unnoticed. Even Mara, the elf, did not notice when he used it on her.
This unassuming old woman was actually a hidden dragon! She was unbelievably strong!
He decided he was going to be more careful with who he used his inspect on as he walked back towards the adventurer's association with a few silvers in his hands this time. He was able to sell the three Herculean Beetle shells for a silver each.
It was very good money considering that he wasn't even the one who killed them, it was Mara. He probably would have gotten more if he brought their horns, but Mara had taken those so he was only able to collect the shells.
He also wasn't going to just kill the dungeon monsters himself, as when he had tried previously he actually lost DP when he did it. Although he doesn't fully understand how the dungeon works it is actually able to determine when someone is trying to exploit it. It was definitely intelligent and Adrian could slightly sense it.
They arrived back at the Adventurer's Association upon which the goblins left the verdant wolves back at the public stable and they headed back inside once more.
