The warm day continues in Daimon island. In the middle of the city, a police car drives through the streets of Daimon. It passes a sign labeled ‘Medical Sector’. This sector of the island is different from the others. It’s filled with massive buildings of different shapes and sizes. Some are labeled as laboratories while others are labeled as hospitals.
The car makes its way through the giant building and parks at a building labeled ‘Daimon Tech’. The car door opens and Yamato gets out of the car. He heads into the building and is met with an unreal scene. Inside the building, there are multiple rooms with people in lab coats working at or on desks and trays carrying a variety of different experiments. The machines inside the rooms assist the people in lab coats with whatever experiment they're working on. The bright white and blue building has several floors filled with different people working on different experiments.
“Whoa!”
Yamato continues walking into the building and to the front desk. At the front desk, a beautiful woman is there to greet him.
“Hello! How can we help you Detective Fujimura?”
“Oh? You know me?”
“Of course, who doesn’t know the famous ‘Star Rookie Detective’?”
“Ah, right. Well I’m here to see if I can get my guns upgraded. A friend told me that since they were made here, this is the place I should go to if I want them upgraded.”
“Upgraded huh? I’m not sure how much help we can be. You see, the creator of those guns, John Wright, passed away about a year after making them.”
“Oh, I see. ‘I guess Ski forgot to tell me that.’”
“However his son Jace Wright works here part time. I can’t say how much help he’d be but he’s incredibly smart.”
“Ok, I guess it’s worth a shot.”
“He’s on the 8th floor in room 820. I’ll give him a call and let him know you’re coming.”
“Thank you.”
Yamato walks to the elevator and presses the button for the eighth floor. The elevator closes and begins ascending. After some time, the elevator stops and opens up to the eighth floor. Yamato follows the signs and makes his way through the halls and to room 820.
When he opens it, he’s immediately met with a young red haired boy with yellow eyes.
“OH MY GOSH IT’S ACTUALLY THE YAMATO FUJIMURA! I thought this was some kind of prank.”
“Uh… Are you… Jace Wright?”
“Yeah that’s me, sorry for popping up on you like that. I got a little excited.”
“A little?”
“Heh heh. Oh, come on in.”

Yamato walks into the big room filled with different machines and equipment.
“This is your room?”
“Yeah, well more specifically it was my dads before he passed away. The people here let me work in this room for some reason.”
“I see, this room is more of an engineering room. What’s a place like this doing in a tech facility?”
“It’s the same reason why the science laboratories are in the medical sector. The island is too small. There’s no space for multiple engineering buildings just like how there’s no space for a fifth sector called the science sector. Luckily my dad was a good enough engineer to be able to work for this place as long as he created and fixed their equipment.”
“I see.”
“So, what can I help you with?”
“I want to upgrade my guns.”
“Oh the stormcallers, one of my dads favorite works.”
“Yeah, I was thinking of a way to fly like other wind users. However, I’m bad at controlling my powers which is why I need these guns. So I started thinking, what if I could shoot out a burst of wind from these guns that can allow me to fly. The only problem is this gun can’t handle the amount of output I need to fly.”
“Ah I see, so you want to know if you can upgrade your guns to allow you to use a higher controlled output.”
“Yeah pretty much.”
“It sounds simple enough. All I should have to do is calibrate the input and output enhancers on the transfer device to allow for a stronger input and output. I’d also have to allow for a constant state of flow if you want to be in the air for more than a couple seconds. Then I can replace the old limiter with a new limiter so your guns won’t break.”
Yamato looks at Jace with a blank face confused by every word that was just uttered. Jace takes a quick look at Yamato and sighs.
“Ahehe, sorry. I was thinking out loud. Give me the guns and I’ll see what I can do. I don’t know how long it will take or if it’s possible, but try to stay out of trouble until then.”
Yamato hands Jace the guns.
“Yeah, I’ll try.”
“Oh, let me get your number so I can call you when I’m done.”
Yamato pulls out his phone and shows his number to Jace. Jace puts the guns down and adds Yamato’s number in his phone.
“Alright Detective Fujimura, I’ll let you know what happens.”
“Thank you Jace.”
Yamato heads out of Jace’s room and Jace gets to work.

In the basement of Shunji’s house, Shunji works on his computer while Yuto punches a metal reinforced punching bag.
“You should save that energy for when it matters.”
“I know, I’m just making sure I’m ready when the time comes.”
“Well until then, I got your leverage for that Detective Fujimura.”
“You do?”
“Yeah, that killer, Ryota Shima, he’s been hiding it well but I think he’s working with whoever is causing the radiation killings.”
“What do you mean?”
“Look at this Yuto, all of Shima’s targets have been the sons and daughters of the heads of science laboratories. The same laboratories that the radiation victim’s worked for.”
“That’s not a coincidence is it.”
“Can’t be, it’s just too specific. This is big, it could be the missing link they need to find Shima’s and this radiation killer.”
“And it’s the perfect leverage to have Detective Fujimura help me.”
“Yeah, now we just continue to be patient. Wait until tomorrow night, hopefully Chiori does her part.”
“And then it’s finally time for the real hunt to begin.”
