Ava lays motionless on the ground, blood spilling from her body. The rookies stand over her body speechless. Kenta’s body desperately shakes uncontrollably. He grits his teeth and clenches his fist so hard he starts bleeding. Rage fills his body like water in a glass. Ryota smiles as he hovers above the shocked rookies.

“WELL THAT TAKES CARE OF THAT. NONE OF THIS WOULD’VE HAPPENED IF Y’ALL GAVE ME MIRA. I HAVE A NICE LITTLE STREAK OF CONSECUTIVE DAYS WITH A KILL. SINCE I CAN’T KILL MIRA I HAD TO KILL SOMEONE TO KEEP THE STREAK ALIVE. YOU SHOULD BE GRATEFUL, THAT GIRL DIED HELPLING ME MAKE HISTORY. NOW IF Y’ALL WILL LET ME, I NEED TO TAKE HER BODY WITH ME AND TURN IT INTO THE RIGHT PEOPLE SO I CAN RECORD MY KILL FOR TODAY.”

Just like Kenta, rage fills the other rookies as well. Yamato manages to snap himself back and notices the other rookie's anger.

“I KNOW HOW Y’ALL FEEL, BUT WE NEED TO STAY FOCUSED. THE LAST THING WE NEED IS FOR US TO-”

“YOU KNOW HOW I FEEL? THAT RIGHT? SO WAS AVA YOUR SISTER TOO OR SOMETHING?”

“KENTA…”

“I THOUGHT SO, YOU DON’T KNOW HOW I FEEL. SO DON’T PRETEND TO KNOW.”

Kai puts his hand of Kenta’s shoulder in an attempt to calm him down.

“KENTA CALM DOWN, HE’S JUST TRYNA KEEP US FOCUSED.”

Kenta aggressively shrugs off Kai’s hand and gives him and Yamato a foul look.

“THE HELL OFF ME!”

“GUY’S NOWS NOT THE TIME TO BE FIGHTING WITH EACH OTHER. WE STILL HAVE TO DEAL WITH RYOTA.” Hibiki shouts.

“WE NEED TO FIND A WAY TO KEEP HIM ON THE GROUND! WELL… ANY IDEAS?” Yamato asks.

“YEAH… STAY OUT OF MY WAY!”

Kenta walks up to Ryota to face him alone but Yamato walks up with him.

“KENTA, I DON’T CARE HOW MAD YOU ARE. YOU’RE NOT FIGHTING HIM ALONE.”

“FINE THEN, TRY TO KEEP UP.”

Yamato and Kenta rush Ryota. Yamato fires shots slightly above Ryota’s head making him inch closer to the ground until Kenta can finally attack. As the battle commences, Hibiki and Kai stay back near Ava’s body. They both appear more damaged from Ryota’s onslaught of attacks than Yamato and Kenta.

“You’re not gonna help them out?” Kai asks.

“Egh… As much as I want to, I’m too hurt from that attack to help.”

“Same here, hell I can barely muster the strength to stand up. I think I took the brunt of the attack. I’m surprised someone as hot headed as you can admit he’s too hurt to fight.”

“Shut up Kai. Just keep watching in case we have to do something.”

In the distance, Kiara comes running down the street. Cold from running in the windy air, she arrives panting and out of breath. Her body feels numb and her legs like noodles. She regroups with the other rookies and notices Ava’s motionless body.

“WHA-WHAT HAPPENED?”

“AVA TOOK A HIT RIGHT THROUGH HER STOMACH, DO YOU THINK YOU CAN HELP HER?” Kai asks.

“I’LL SEE BUT WHAT ABOUT YOU TWO?”

“WELL I’D BE LYING IF I SAID WE’RE FINE, BUT AVA NEEDS HELP FIRST. PLEASE GO SEE WHAT YOU CAN DO.”

“LET ME CHECK.”

Kiara goes down to Ava’s body to check the damage. Focused on the battle, Yamato and Kenta fail to notice Kiara’s appearance. However, Ryota appears confused by Kiara’s sudden appearance.

“The hell? There’s a sixth one? What’s she doing?”

Suddenly, wind bullets come flying at Ryota making him drop to the ground! As soon as he lands, Kenta rushes him with a fury of attacks! Kenta’s attacks are fast and aggressive, filled with rage. Ryota blocks them all and manages to land some attacks on Kenta! Kenta appears unfazed as he lets himself take damage to continue his attacks.

“Damn, do you not care about your body? You said something about a sister, I'm guessing that’s the girl I just killed. So what, do you have a death wish now that your sister is dead.”

“Keep talking while you can, because you won’t get the chance to after I kill you.”

Yamato notices Kenta’s new expression. Kenta’s eyes are narrowed and pupils soulless.

“I’ve never seen Kenta like this. Yeah his sister might be dead, but he’s like a completely different person.”

Back by Ava’s body, Hibiki and Kai wait for several seconds to see what Kiara says. Finally, Kiara finishes examining Ava’s body.

“DON’T WORRY, I CAN SAVE HER! I NEED Y’ALL TO COVER ME.”

A sigh of relief comes across Hibiki and Kai as Kiara starts her procedure. She puts her hands over the hole in Ava’s chest and releases a green aura. Back at the battle against Ryota, Yamato and Kenta struggle to keep up. They’ve managed to keep Ryota on the ground but can’t seem to hit him. Ryota swiftly dodges all of their attacks while slashing and cutting them at the same time.

“GIVE IT UP. YOU TWO CAN’T WIN.”

“YEAH? WE’LL SEE ABOUT THAT!”

Kenta rushes Ryota with all the speed he has left, he takes his sword and lunges for a thrusting attack! Ryota backs up just enough to get away.

“I GOTCHU! AQUA JAVELIN!”

Suddenly, Kenta’s water blade rapidly extends and pierces Ryota’s right leg!

“AGH!”

Ryota tries to limp away from Kenta as Kenta slowly walks towards Ryota.

“DON’T RUN NOW! LIKE I SAID, I’M GONNA KILL YOU.”

Kenta rapidly approaches Ryota.

“DIE YOU BASTARD!”

Kai holds his sword overhead and prepares to land the killing blow! Just then, a smile crosses Ryota’s face. Yamato notices the smile and breaks into a panicked sweat.

“KENTA WAIT!”

Ryota quickly forms a wind spear and plunges it into Kenta’s left leg!

“AGHHH!”

Ryota flies into the air right above Kenta and lands a brutal devastating kick on Kenta’s neck, sending him flying and knocking him out!

“KENTA!” Kai and Hibiki scream.

Yamato turns to Kai and Hibiki and finally notices Kiara.

“Kiara? When did she get here? No, this is good. If she’s doing what I think she is then Ava might be alright!”

Ryota observes Kiara and her hand placement.

“The hell is she doing? Wait! Don’t tell me she’s a healer! She’s trying to heal that other girl? I thought I killed her! I WON’T LET YOU HEAL HER!”

Yamato notices Ryota’s plan and rushes to Kiara. Kai and Hibiki also notice but are too damaged to move.

“DAMMIT!”

Ryota forms a wind spear and launches it at high speed aimed straight for Kiara! Yamato’s too slow to catch up. Kiara notices the attack but doesn’t have time to react as it quickly approaches her. She closes her eyes as the spear strikes and blood splatter on her face! Confused, she opens her eyes to see Hibiki who stepped in front of her to take the attack.

“HIBIKI!”

Hibiki looks back at Kiara with a mouthful of blood as he struggles to maintain consciousness. Yamato and Kai are speechless.

“Agh! A-are you okay… Kiara?”

“D-DAMMIT HIBIKI! WHY? ALL THE TIMES WE ARGUE JUST FOR YOU TO DO THIS?”

“W-well, we may argue a lot, and we may hate each other's guts, but I still consider all of you my friends. And I’ll die for my friends.”

“Hibiki…”

Hibiki falls to the ground and loses consciousness. Ryota forms another spear in his hand and prepares to launch it. This time, a wind bullet hits Ryota causing the spear to dissipate. Ryota annoyingly looks at Yamato.

“NOT AGAIN RYOTA! YOU HAVEN'T WON YET! I’LL TAKE YOU ON BY MYSELF IF I HAVE TO!.”
