First chapter of the week!

Chapter 88 .....
DING
The sound of two hard things smashing into each other echoes threw the area and with it two figures entangled in fiercer fight once again separated. Their rugged breath swept over the area and despite it should be almost not hearable in the first place somehow the sound of them doing so reached far over the land.
Not that it would bother anyone, there was long since no one in this part of the earth. It was the territory of the Heavenly Formation Kingdom and the entire population had long ago been retracted to the capital. In this land devoid of human and demonic life there were only animals and plants to be aware of the incredible battle fought here.
The red man spat out a bit of blood. Scratches and bloody injuries were scattered all over his patterned body. The once beautiful gown out of crimson line was completely ragged to the point of no recognition. The long red hair falling down his shoulders had long ago turned into a dirty brown as blood and dirt had mixed there together.
The overbearing expression he had before had long since disappeared, as had his curses. Now only a grave expression filled the spot they left behind.
Wiping the blood in the corners of his mouth away he glanced to his two brothers. They where still fighting and their figures appeared all over the place. Teleportation and sneak attacks were what their fight was composed of.
"Sigh…. My brothers were smarter, they did not choose to fight him head on. I wonder if I wouldn't in this state if I also choose to do so."
He looked down his maltreated body and then turned his eyes towards the one responsible for the countless wounds on his body.
It was a green wearing young man with rather long brown hair. In opposite to the red man who was greatly injured this time around, he had no visible wounds on his body. Only his also ragged breath was betraying the epical fight that he was involved in a moment earlier.
It was Zes.
Or rather it was one of Zes copies.
When the fight started, Zes had avoided using his Divine Bodies of Immortals and fight the three 'gods' with full power. After all it was clear that he couldn't just use brute force to smash his opponents, they had to much of a history and hidden cards that could get him into a tight spot of he was to carefree.
Instead he had hidden his powers and only fought with his original body, fighting one on three without loosing the advantage.
But as the time went on it was only natural that he couldn't keep it on this way. After all, the three of them were not that much weaker then Zes and in the end they had the quantity while he had the quality.
So as he couldn't hold out this way anymore, he finally used two of his clones to once again force out a equilibrium. Zes hold the advantage and oppressed the three of them, but he still couldn't really kill them.
In the end none of them had used his true cards even now.
And they all knew this, they all were cautiously waiting for a good chance to take down each other without loosing to much in the process. It was after all the hidden cards that made out a cultivators true strength and up to now, neither Zes, nor the three gods had an idea of each other's true strength. So even though right now Zes had the overwhelming advantage, no one knew what would happen if all four would suddenly clash with their true strenght.
Zes knew all this, but despite that, the clone standing in front of the red god was smiling.
It wasn't a carefree smile like he had before the Kun clans betrayal. It wasn't free of worries or pure like a newborn once, but it was true. To Zes all the schemes right know weren't exactly important. He was only being careful such as not to die, while holding of the three gods in front of him.
The thing he was caring about wasn't the fight here, but the fight in front of Bluedragon city's gates.
The author's tale has been misappropriated; report any instances of this story on Amazon.
It was clear that Bluedragon city had the advantage right know and as long as the three gods did not free themselves it would stay like this. So even while Zes was still worrying, there was no need for him to forcibly break free from the fight here. The question was, how long would it take Reis and her man to completely destroy the others army?
There was no other outcome then the church's destruction at the current pace, but when and how was still quite open. It was still and army of multiple tens of millions!
"Ah, I will just go one like this, hope they speed up a bit."
Zes mouth curled a bit as he glanced at the hateful gaze piecing into his body.

Bluedragon city defence.
"YOU RETARD!"
She screamed at Rean.
"Are you fucking looking to die?"
Tears welled up in her eyes as she looked at his partners smiling face.
It has only been about a week that the two of them had met on the monolith while sniping the enemies, but in this week they had constantly contact with each other.
No matter if it was eating in the canteen, going to Bluedragon city on their free day, once every week or sniping the dump faces of the dieing man beneath. They never parted for even a single moment as both had about the same style of life and the same pace in doing their work.
In this manner, adding in the situation of war and the constant danger of random suicide attack squads from beneath it wasn't strange that feelings had began to revolve inside of their hearths.
One week might seem to be to short for love to even start blooming in a person's hearth, but faced with death on daily basis, seeing men die while their last words are "I regret…. to be a virgin." Faced with all this love was strangely quick in it's work.
So while sniping down poor souls beneath and counting the average death count, a young love had formed between Rean and the girl before him.
"Don't cry Nia, it doesn't really fit your image.
Also, it's not that I will die for sure. It's just one attack and we will only strike and the pull back."
Tenderly Rean tried to calm the sobbing Nia. His hand wiping away a tear rolling down Nia's cheeks.
This morning, the headquaters of Bluedragon city had announced that they would go into the offence. The last week's had been positive to their side and they managed to decimate quite some part of the enemies troops without loosing much themselves.
So now they wanted to start a frontal attack striking the church out of the blue.
After all up till now they had only defended, but never left their walls and towers. So attack was bound to have some surprise effect and even a certain pathological effect on the enemy. Up to now they had only assumed that the Kingdoms side would only defend and stay behind the walls.
As long as they did not get to close to the wall they were safe from them.
But suddenly directly attacking them would take this safety and maybe even invoke fear in the enemy soldiers. It did not matter where they were, or what they did. The Kingdom could always strike.
Taking all this into consideration it was only natural that the government would decide on this matters. In fact it was Reis approval that had even just got the whole thing into preparation.
Soldiers were scouted and volunteered were gathered for the attack. No one was forced as the possibility of death was much higher then normal and there was no guarantee that they would make it back in one piece.
Nevertheless the count of soldiers that had volunteered was amazing.
Three hours after the announcement all the empty places in the squads had been taken already.
Of course one of this spaces belonged to Rean. He had immediately volunteered and got himself a space. To him it was a question of honor. It was his home he was protecting. His family he was protecting and as he already had lost his virginity not long ago, what could hold him?
That was, except for Nia. She was they only person Rean was hesitating for. But in the end he still did it.
And here he was, tenderly looking at Nia's crying face and trying to calm her down.
