Chapter 23: I haven't had it for 10 years

An awkward atmosphere built up as no one knew what to say. Reis strangely looked at her master and distanced herself from him. Gay just had his mouth open not knowing what to respond to such condition and the rest of the people in the street where not able to even hear anything so they also were quite.

Zes blinked a few times.

“Have I really said that right know?”

Gay stayed silent and just imperceptible nodded. Once again it grew silent.

After some time Zes managed to say something.

“I'm sorry. I don't know what was wrong with me to say that. It's just....., it’s just that I haven't had it for more than 10 years you know?”

Gay still did not know what to do in this awkward situation. But finally he resolved himself.

“Well, I can certainly give you my daughters, but as for the rest...”

Zes was thankful that Gay had somehow resolved that standstill.

“Let's make it that way. I get your daughters as pets and a few females of your clan as servants. As for the rest... let's see it as a reparation. Every girl between certain ages has to serve a human as slave for some time. I think that should be fair, no?

As for the age and the duration, we can discuss that later.”

Gay thought about it for some time. Then he wryly smiled.

“Do I have a choice?”

Zes playfully answered.

“Well you could go suicide...”

Gay’s face grew dark.

“Ah shut up. I comply. I swear by the great daos that I will follow the arrangements we have made.”

Zes clasped his hands together.

“Then we have a contract. Reis, you take care of the minions. I will throw out the rest of the garbage.”

Reis nodded as a response and smiled. She did not like that RedSerpent clan in the beginning and the things she had seen before did not change her view of them.

“It would be boring to kill them, while they are frozen. I guess I will first have to let them free.”

Zes dissolved the technique that froze the whole city and the people once again moved around as if nothing had happened.

A case of literary theft: this tale is not rightfully on Amazon; if you see it, report the violation.

Reis shoot towards the clan members of the RedSerpent clan and soon pained cries could be heard.

Reis power skyrocketed after she completed her dao of Jerna and now her power was comparable to that of an early nascentstage cultivator despite still only being on the late corestage. The clan members of the RedSerpent clan were at most late corestage themselves so she could easily slaughter them all by herself.

Zes turned to the RedSerpent clan patriarch and the elders that wanted to get to their clan members, which were slaughtered by Reis.

But Zes made a hand seal and suddenly the space changed, caging Zes and them in a separate room making it impossible for them to get to their fellow clan members.

The elders snorted. They had not realized what happened before as they were too weak and completely frozen in time. Because of this, they thought of Zes as some ordinary nascentstage cultivator with some skill in space dao.

An elderly looking woman disdainful sad so Zes.

“So what if you have sealed us in this space? Do you think that you can take us on alone?”

Zes coldly laughed.

“The question is if you think that you are able to even move a finger faced with me. Ask you patriarch in regards to that.”

The old woman frowned and just wanted to respond to this impertinent youth before her but the patriarch stopped her with a wave of his hand.

“What do you want in order to let us go?”

He seriously looked to Zes. But the later just pretended to be dumb (as always).

“What do you mean?”

The patriarch stayed patient.

“I know that you will probably not betray the Bluedragon clan and help us so I just ask you to let me and my clan go.”

Zes smiled but then decided to give the patriarch a bit face.

“I'm sorry but I cannot do it. You have heard what I was speaking about with Gay right? Then you should understand who or rather what I am. I cannot allow you to go and spread this. So sorry but it's impossible to let you or your clan go.”

He did not wait for an answer from the patriarch. Suddenly hundreds of lights formed around Zes, circulating around him and giving of a terrifying pressure.

“I cannot let you live but I will give your descendants a chance to live. I'm sorry but that’s all I can do.”

The elders were horrified as they understood what those light were and what they were capable of. The patriarch was also shocked but as he heard Zes words, he calmed down and silently nodded.

Then the world turned white.
