Chapter 57 Maaran once again

The core sect was a restricted area in the middle of the sect city. Only the core disciples, the elders and the patriarch were allowed to enter it making it the highest concentration of power in the sect. At the same time it was also the place with the highest concentration of divine soul energy in the sects grounds. One had to know, that the unnatural concentration was divine soul energy in the main valley and the four side valleys were all due to a formation set up by the patriarch, that was continually drawing the energy into the surroundings of it.

It had enough effect to make the density of divine soul energy in the side valleys four times the outer world and the energy in the main valley 3 times the density of the side valleys. So the core sect, were the formation was located had a even higher concentration of 10 times the main valley!

Because of this only sect members that had reached a certain stage were allowed to enter the core sect. You wonder why? Course if someone underneath the soul liquid stage would enter the core sect, their souls would start absorbing the divine energy. Or rather their soul realm would be flooded by the incredibly amounts of divine soul energy causing it to finally explode. So the restriction on having to be at least soul liquid stage was only so that the disciples would die a pointless death only because of entering a place they couldn't handle.

This was also the cause why Zes couldn't made a core disciple. After all what was the sense in being a core disciple without being able to enter the core sect? In the end the patriarch only made Zes a inner disciple, but gave him special privileges that were normally only accessible for core disciples or even only for elders of the sect.

Because of this Zes naturally did not panicked when being faced by this group of core disciples. Well it's not as if he was able to panic in the first place, after all most of his emotions were still sealed and unable to be felt no need to speak about openly showing them. Also Zes had already recognised the group of people that were heading towards him.

It was a group consisting of 6 core disciples, 5 female and a male. The said male was currently closing at Zes and a bright and wonderful smile was flooding his face with beauty (sry no homo). Zes strange smile actually changed a bit and now it was rather a grin in a frozen face then a smile in a frozen face.

"Maaran, you have finally decided to visit me after you got enough fun with your ladies, hm?"

His ice cold voice completely did not fit to the relaxed and friendly words that left his mouth. Maaran kept his smile, but his brows furrowed.

"Seems that it's true that you can smile again…. well kind of. But your voice is so cold as ever.

Buhh, can't expect to much at a time, right? Also, what do you mean with having fun? The last time I got to do them was last month! Other then cultivating the elders are pressing me to make formations all day. They say that even though my cultivation is higher then yours, I suck at formations. Fuck man, it just makes me down every time they are comparing me to you old piece of ice.

For real, how can they compare my beautiful self with you abnormal freezing ice desert?"

Zes did not know what to say. He knew that Maaran was just joking, but in the end he himself was hardly able to squeeze out a joke so replying was kind of hard. In the end he tried to be offensive.

"Well, considering that the cause that you climbed stages so quick was because of the dao of Harem and the ladies behind you, I really can't compare to you."

Maarans smile vanished quicker then a lizard that seeing a hawk. Instead of it a strange red entered his face and he was already opening his mouth to reply.

After the fight or rather the massacre resulting in the Kun clans betrayal and the revival of Reis, Zes wanted to get away from the girls as far as possible. He knew, that his whole personality had taken a huge change and just what had happened to his ability of having emotions. He did not want the girls to see him in this state of absolute coldness and desolateness.

Because of that he told the girls to reach deity exceeding stage in one hundred years so they could ascend together. He believed that in one hundred years he should be able to at least regain his ability to have emotions and normally interact with others. Then he  took Maaran with him and flew to a place he had found earlier using his divine sense to search the whole earth for it.

It was a sect of Illis. After all both he and Maaran had potential to cultivate the soul and in couldn't be wrong to become even stronger then he was right now right? Well in fact, Zes just had to find something to do in the hundred years and decided to try entering a sect. After all, Zes had never learned anything from other people except for immortal Calmlight so he was burning to experience new things. And also Maaran was complaining about not being able to construct his Harem of girls. In the end what place could be more perfect to build up a harem then a sect?

Like this the two of them entered the heavenly soul sect while also hiding their cultivation base as qi cultivators.

In the first time, Zes was calm and did not gathered any attention as he was gathering information about the Illis. Maaran on the other hand immediately started to build up his harem. His dao of Harem gave him a natural boost in handsomeness and charm and so he quickly gathered quite some girls around him causing his soul realm to sky rocked (Dao of Harem: If a girls of higher cultivation stage is subjugated part of her cultivation will be transfered to the one that subjugated her. Works the other way too). Soon he also caught the attention of some female core disciples. After also making them submit to him and join his harem, Maaran's soul realm reached soul liquid stage and he was made a core disciple.

At that time Zes had finally gathered all the information's he needed and took part in a test in order to get access to a better cultivation technique. In this test, he actually started to correct the examiners and even showed flaws in some cultivation techniques and ways how to make up for them. Shocked, the examiners that were core disciples found a elder to heck out what Zes had disclosed to them. The elder looked at the flaws Zes found and the solutions he had proposed. He confirmed the flaws and because he was unable to believe that a mere outer disciple, furthermore a disciple that had only joined for a few weeks was able to find mistakes even he himself could find, he started to ask him a few questions. This went on until in the end, after countless elder had questioned Zes only to find out that this youth had actually deeper comprehension then they themselves, the patriarch in person came to see the outer disciple even the elders were unable to surpass in therms of comprehension towards the soul.

He started to discuss the soul with Zes only to astonished realize that even he himself, the most powerful Illis in this realm, was unable to beat Zes in regards of comprehension. Well, how could he compete with Zes? After all Zes was able to figure out a whole dao in mere seconds!

After having confirmed the profound knowledge of Zes, the patriarch directly made him a inner sect disciple and gave out the order, that if anyone would even just touch a hair on Zes body he would personally cripple him.

In this way, Maaran and Zes both became famous in their own ways. One was the playboy number one, while one was the most distinguished scholar in the sect.
