Hi, sry only one chapter. Yesterday I got caught up in the Eurovision Songcontest, so I kind of had no time to write. By the way as you know my family is from Ukrain, sooooo...... Hahahahaha we won. Boom Bitch!!!!! Either way, here is the chapter.

Chapter 78 Heavenly Death Decree Formation

Zoe and Reis, both completely out powered from their earlier involvement into the fight paled. just from the red light, that had just throughout destroyed all of their defences, they could tell that this man was by no means weaker then them. In fact, it was almost sure that he was at least deity exceeding stage if not already in the realm of Zes.

Even while being completely prepared and with their outmost power the three of them would most likely be no match to him, but right now, they all were drained and almost powerless. Les had already fainted, while Zoe was barley holding on. Reis was also extremely weak at the moment after having to revive the soldiers for so many times.

To them right now was the possibly worst time for the red man to appear.

In the first place, where did he even come from? In this realm, after Zes who was the unrivaled number one Zoe, Reis, Les and Pinia should be the most powerful. After Zes had killed every deity and deity exceeding expert before and in the short four years after this there were only about 20 or so new deities that managed to break trough to deity stage. Amongst this deities the four governors of the Kingdom were without doubt the most powerful, with them being only one step from deity exceeding stage.

So where the hell did this monster came from?

Reis head was spinning. Did he come from another realm? Was he a hidden expert even Zes was unable to find? or might he have found some precious treasure that allowed him to cultivated much quicker then even them? reis just couldn't quite get it, where this man came from.

But in the end she just shook her head. The question how this man got here could wait for another time. Right now she had to take care of the situation. Right now she had to act.

Slowly she breathed out clearing all the weakness and the feeling of tiredness out of her head. In a split second her mind once again became clear. She had to take action and somehow solve the situation. Otherwise this would be the end of everyone here.

"You, listen."

She turned to the soldier next to her.

"Yes mylady!"

The man immediately saluted. Reis quickly sorted her thoughts.

"Quickly arrange the evacuation of all troops. Get everyone, the soldiers, the civilians everyone on our side out of the city. After this…… prepare operation school days."

Without hitching the  soldier resolutely responded.

"Your order is my pleasure."

The he quickly left and started to command the soldiers around them. In a few moments the whole city once again got into motion. There was no sign of panic, no complications. It seemed that everyone knew what they had to do. In fact they now even ignored the crazed fanatics that were running towards them. After all now the wall was gone and there was nothing between them and the followers of the church.

But just as the church's men came near to the man, suddenly the ground under their feat changed. Symbols formed under the dust and earth, symbols carved into black stone. They were strange and irregular, as if some retard had mixed up different languages and written some nonsense no one could make a gist out. But at the same time they also emended a certain feeling of danger that made the fanatics stagger.

Somehow they could sense, that something bad would happen if they came to close to this symbols. And this feeling of danger was strong enough to even penetrated into their misted heads and make them stop their attack.

But this stop only lasted for a small moment. Soon the mist one again lulled their minds and they resumed their charge. The might of the chant was just to big for them to resist. Their minds were all quite weak and limited unable to resist the allure of the chant. So without the possibility to resist, they had to obey the will of the words they repeated over and over and attack even though they felt that it would be their end.

As they set their feed on the symbols, they fell down.

They just fell down. There was no blood, no injuries. There was no flash, no sign of attack. They just fell down. Death, their souls long left their bodies. What fell to the dirty ground was only the hollow fleshly body.

More and more fanatics charged over the strange symbols on the ground. From all sides they were trying to get over this deathly area and finally kill all the heretics. And on all sides more and more death bodies were slowly forming a wall of meat. A cruel wall made of death bodies, hold together by sweat and dirt. And more died. even as the church's followers, this completely retarded and crazed men tried to climb over the wall of death bodies that already grew three meter high, they still died as soon as they came into the area above the symbols.

It was as if a forbidden area had formed around the city. A area that would let anyone pay with their lives, who tired to charge over it. A zone of death, where nothing living can exist for more then a brief moment.

This area of death, the symbols it was made of, was in fact the real last defence of Sword Bird city. It was the kingdom's last solution, something to be used if anything else was working. It was a formation called Emperors Death Decree Formation set up by Reis and her disciples. They took three months to finish the giant formation and in fact it used most of their time, even more then the other formations that covered the area.

The red light earlier was used to destroy all the cities defences plus the technique Zoe and Les used, but the red gowned man did not know about this Heavenly Death Decree Formation that was buried underneath the wall and so it had survived the first clash and was now used to buy time.

While the death bodies before the city became more and more and the wall they formed soon exceeded the five meter mark, the soldiers inside of the formation did not even bother with it. they knew what would come after this and the pure thought made them nervous ….. and anxious. Even though it did not show on their faces,  but they were extremely alerted and nervous. The plan that was being executed right now would cause a huge slaughter and if they were not quick enough, they and all the other citizens would also fall prey to this slaughter.

So in order to survive, they had to be focused and fast.

But as they were nervous, they also looked forward to the bloodbath that would happen soon. Even before there were hard feeling between them and the church, but by now it had long since become deep hatred. Hatred that could only be resolved with blood. At this point it did not matter what would happen, one of them, the church or the kingdom had to cease to exist, otherwise they would never find peace.

With this in mind, the preparation proceeded quickly.

At the same time Reis was floating in the air.

Her face was strained and it was obvious that it was hard for her to continue floating there, but nevertheless she forced herself to stay in the air. In front of her was the red gowned man looking at her, looking into her eyes.

There was no hatred, there was no killing intent in his eyes. Only pity. it seemed that the man really had no intent to kill her and would rather just let her go, but even with the pity in his eyes, there was still the determination in his expression that told Reis that  he would not let her or the city alone.

"Why are you attacking us?"

She calmly asked him.

"….."

The man did not speak.

"Where did you come from?

There is no way you come from this realm, right?"

The mans face did not waver. He only sighted.

"You are right, I'm not from this realm. As for why I'm attacking you, that's is cause you are protecting humans. I'm one of the gods, this fools down there believe in. Our teachings say that humans are lower beings, not worthy to be on the same level as us, something we have to suppress.

You are going against our teachings. I have to kill you. That's about all."

Reis did not bother about the emotionless way the man was talking.

"You said yourself, they are fools. So why are you helping them? Also, I thing that you yourself understand that humans in no way inferior to us. What's the point in lying to them?"

"……."

"…… i guess you deserve to know. You will die either way, so it doesn't really matter.

The truth is, that once humans and demons were living side by side. They had common cities, kingdoms and even mixed marriages. There was no real difference between us demons and the humans.

At that time there were six powerful experts, that guarded our two races. Paragons with their cultivation level even exceeded the one I have right now. They were being cable of creating realms, making new energy forms. They were omnipotent. They were the cause that demons and humans were able to prosper and spreed over countless realms.

Out of this six experts, three were human while three were demons. Because of this even distribution, there were no problems between the two races, as both had the same amount of power within their ranks.

But one day, one of the humans paragons became ill and the equilibrium became uneven. Soon the demons paragons decided to take this chance and suppress humanity. After all who is willing to share their territory if he has the choice? They decided to attack the human paragons while they were weaker and once for all dominate humanity.

Right as one of the human paragons became ill with a strange illness, they secretly ambushed him and quickly killed him.

After this they charged against the other paragons and also tried to kill them, to completely destroy the human races foundation.

But in contrary to their expectations, the humans were more powerful then they thought them to be. Even though they were in the weaker position they managed to hold themselves and were not overrun.

After this long fights began. Humans fought demons. Realms fought realms, neighbors fought against their former friends. It was a bloody battle that once for all destroyed every connection that had once existed between them.

In the end, the demons won. But they payed horribly. Out of their three paragons only one managed to survive with deep wounds. He then tried to completely eradicate humanity and the treat they were to them. he sweept over countless realms. Destroyed civilisations with technologies higher then anything that exists now. But in the end before he could finish his cruel work, he died because of the injuries dealt to him by the human paragons.

He died, but the hate remained. And with the hate, the fear survived. It was narrow victory. A victory that could have as well become our loss. A victory, but not a complete one.
