Chapter 45 Three days later
Three days had passed since the incident that was now known as Immortal rule incident. That's right, at this point of time every inhabitant of Cers kingdom knew what had happened in Bluedragon city. That is because after a day's time of discussion Pinia and Gay had finally decided on the conditions for Zes to give the Kun clan the formations. Of course Gay wanted to get the most favorable conditions for Zes whom he long since was truly loyal to. But surprisingly Pinia also seemed to give in as far as she could. Like this many ridiculous conditions were added and approved by both sides. Most of them were even proposed by Pinia who could not control her newly found desire of serving Zes.
Gay on the other side was also trying to serve Zes with the best of his ability so the two of them gradually got familiar with each other and noticed that they were quite similar. In the end this similarity lead to not only to some strange conditions but also to Zes becoming the ruler over Cers kingdom without knowing about it.
Even though it's said that Zes would rule the kingdom, Pinia's father stayed king and the Kun clan were left in control over the country. Only from now on the Kun clan would follow Zes commands, resulting in them becoming Zes vassals.
As Pinia predicted, there was almost no opposition from the Kun clan’s remaining elders. Not only was Zes strong enough to wipe them out completely. The Kun clan had problems and was pressured by other kingdoms even while their patriarch was still alive. Now that he was dead, it was almost certain that they would have to give up their kingdom if they would not agree to Zes conditions. So in the end, the elders bowed their heads and the Kun clan truly became Zes subordinates.
Zes newly taken rule was immediately announced in the whole kingdom. Of course, there had been a few revolts as bigger clans could not take it to be ruled by an Immortal or other factions were fearing to be killed by Zes. But these revolts were quickly solved by using the royal army and in the end most demons respected the strong so after information that he had killed the deity stage exceeding patriarch of the Kun clan and did not seek revenge spread out and most demons started to respect him.
Zes had no idea of him suddenly becoming the Cers kingdom ruler. The last three days he had spent inside of his mansion focusing on treating his injuries so he wasn't informed at all. Similarly he did not expect that some of the ridiculous conditions were already on their way to his mansion.
Bluedragon city, Zes mansion
Zes was currently sitting inside of his room and observed the flow of qi inside of his body. In the last three days he managed to heal most of his injuries relying on daos with healing attribute. So right now he was about 79% healed and if fighting against a deity stage expert, he would still be able to kill him with a bit of trouble. Also the temporary strengthening of his body had two unexpected gains for him.
His body’s constitution had improved by quite a bit, making him able to lift a 30 thousand kilo boulder without using any qi! Also his cultivation had finally broken through nascent stage and reached early immortal stage. The only drawback was that he couldn't cultivate until his injuries were fully healed or else he would cripple his own meridians and most likely destroy his cultivation.
Nevertheless Zes was quite pleased with his gains. He had destroyed that hateful fellow from the Ku clan and even improved his body and cultivation while doing so. The only thing he regretted is that in the last three days, he hadn't have a single opportunity to sleep with the girls. At first, his injuries were too severe for them do it but even later the girls insisted that he had to heal first.
Zes seemed to have gone back to his usual cheerfulness. There was still a bit of sorrow and grief in his eyes but his overall expression was once again as playful as before. The souls of the humans that have been devoured were still inside of him but after he had killed the Kun clan’s patriarch, they seemed to have changed. They lost their sorrow and grief, and somehow turned it into a resolution. The resolution to bring back humanities greatness. This change also effected Zes as an invisible thread connected him to the souls.
"By the way, I still have to check what conditions they have negotiated."
After the fight, Zes was too injured and too tired to concern himself with this so he left it to Gay. But now he still had no idea what exactly had come out in the end. Actually Zes was a bit worried. At the end of the fight, he had noticed Pinia’s strange look. At that time he had been too tired to care about it. But now it made him have a bad feeling. Also he did not know what Gay would do as he also had a strange attitude towards him.
He stood up and changed his clothes. Just as he finished changing, the door opened and Zoe, Reis and Les came in cheerfully chattering. As they noticed that Zes had changed his clothes and seemed to have plans for today, they decided to follow him into the city.

So the group of four exited through the mansion’s main gate and directly headed for their neighbor, the city lord’s palace. Even though Zes was formally the city lord, all the work was done by Gay and so Zes preferred to let him keep the palace instead of giving it to himself. So even now, the city lord’s palace was inhibited by the Bluedragon clan. In fact most of the inhabitants of Bluedragon city already started calling it Bluedragon clan palace.
As the palace was right next to their own mansion, they quickly reached the main gate and the gate guards directly guided them to Gay’s office.
The first thing Zes noticed as he entered were two naked girls standing behind Gay, which was looking over some document. Not only were the girls naked, both of them had collars that were connected to a chain, which end was fixed at a big ring in Gay’s hand. Also Gay seemed to be distressed and looked really tired.
Puzzled, Zes was looking at the scene before his eyes while the girls were looking away, their heads red.
"What's the meaning of this?"
Zes couldn't control his curiosity as he asked. Gay finally realized that they had been standing there. He immediately stood up. His eyes had a tired look and he seemed to be annoyed of life.
"Ah Zes, I have already expected you.
You mean the girls right? They are presents from the Kun clan and before you ask, I have never asked for something like this and they have already been in this state as the princess gave them to me. I have already tried to make them wear clothes but every time I tried to do so, they threatened that they would go suicide. Man, I have never asked for them, I have even tried to give them back, but this woman …. "
"The princess?"
Zes was surprised. But then he had to think of the expression she had as he had last seen her.
"Yes, the princess. I don't know what you have done to her but I have never seen a woman like this. The way she is right now …. You’re sure to have quite some fun if you can live with the guilt that will forever exist inside of you.
But… let's drop that. You are here to get the results of our negotiations, aren't you?"
"Well yes, what are the conditions?"
"Oh there are too many conditions to tell you about all. Many of them were made by the princess and I'm honestly not even able to tell you when I agreed to them. But there are few important ones you should know about. First of all, you are the new ruler of the Cers kingdom!"
Zes blankly looked at Gay.
"I'm the ruler over the …. You mean I'm the king?"
"Well, not exactly. The King is the same and the Kun clan will remain ruling the kingdom but you are ruling the Kun clan. In other words the Kun clan have become your vassal."
Zes was still surprised about this sudden revaluation.
“Well, even though you are the ruler, there is not much for you to do. In fact you only have to hand the Kun clan the formations you have promised them. Other than you being the new ruler, all humans in Cers kingdom have been freed and already send here. Also humans will have the same rights as demons and will be protected by law. I have also build a library containing the cultivation techniques for humans and the other techniques you have given me. Every human is free to use it and it also holds cultivation rooms they can use.
Also the first humans will most likely arrive here in tomorrow, I have already prepared everything for them. As for the things they will receive from the Cers kingdom …. Ah who cares you will find out in time."
These were really good news for Zes. It has been one of his main goals to revive humanity from the time at that he had received immortal Calmlight’s legacy. Now, that the first humans could finally gather in Bluedragon city and start cultivating, it was a huge leap for the progress of his goal. Only the part with the compensation from the Cers kingdom was making him feel strange. After all he had just seen an example of how this "compensations" could look like.
"Ah, and there is one more thing. As compensation, the Kun clan has send a gift to you. But the strange thing is that it is in an interspatial ring and it can only be opened by you."
As Zes heard that, a bad feeling came from the depths of his heart. After seeing the girls that were gifted to Gay, he had a bad premonition. Nevertheless he took the ring that Gay offered him. After this, they quickly said goodbye as Les and Zoe couldn't stand the sight of their father holding the chains of the two girls.
They went back to their own mansion and directly entered the spacious garden. It was summer in the Bluedragon city and so it was the best time to spend time in the garden. But before enjoying the wonderful weather, Zes first wanted to check the gift the Kun clan has sent to him. He inserted his divine will into the ring to look in its interior but strangely he was unable to make out any details. Everything inside the ring was dark and he was unable to discern anything.
Sighing, he just completely emptied the spatial ring.
