Chapter 21: Conditions

The golden gowned man had a cruel smile as he smashed towards Gay's head. He just despised his ideas and his arrogant nature. But the main reason was that he really enjoyed the idea of crushing this city lord’s scull and let his brain soak the street. It was because he simple hated humans and the idea that there could be anything good in this powerless race.

This attitude towards human race was shared by a big part of the demons in this world. Actually clans like the Bluedragon clan, which were seeing humanity as a potential enemy and thus feared the possibility of an immortal were not usual. Most demons saw humans as something even lower than animals, something they had to destroy and kill until there was nothing left of humankind.

They did not know that the reason humans were killed whenever they saw them was because they originally feared them.

And the patriarch of the RedSerpent clan was such a person. He did not understand the potential of humanity and completely looked down on them.

So how can he allow someone to praise and admire these bugs, which he utterly despised and hated? Because of all this he looked forward to the feeling of crushing this man’s head and destroy these empty words of him.

But nothing happened. The smile on the patriarch’s face vanished and was replaced by a frown. He realized that he couldn't move. His fist was only a few millimeters before Gay’s face and it would only need a nanosecond more for this city lord to lose his life. But he just could not move no matter how much strength he mustered.

Finally he noticed that no one in the street was moving. It seemed as if everything in the street was frozen and unable to move. Even the water of a small fountain was flouting in the air unable to fall into the basin beneath it.

Patriarch’s pupils constricted. With much effort he managed to mutter.

“D-dao of time. But t-that is impossible! How can there exist such an expert in a small town like this?”

Then he saw a young man followed by a beautiful girl calmly strolling into his direction. It seemed as if they would just take a small stroll in a park but they were walking through this street where nobody else could even move a muscle.

“Master is that me or do you somehow almost always use the dao of time?”

The beautiful girl’s voice rang out.

“Well, it's just really convenient you know? I could have also use the dao of light and use the speed of light in order to get to them and block that fist. But honestly, don't you think it's much cooler that way?”

Once again Reis had to admit that her master had a really strange sense of importance. But even so, she had to laugh. It was clear that it wouldn't be boring following this master of her.

While the two of them were chattering like this, the patriarch of the RedSerpent clan shuddered.

Dao of light? That was also a high dragongrade dao. Two dragongrade daos on one person? That was rare. But two high dragongrade daos that was almost heaven defying. But even that would not shock the patriarch like the fact that this brat, which was clearly only of the late nascentstage was able to completely subjugate himself!

Stolen from its rightful place, this narrative is not meant to be on Amazon; report any sightings.

For someone to be able to effortlessly subjugate someone of a higher cultivation stage would mean that he had a very high comprehension of his dao. But this was a dragongrade dao, known for its difficulty. In this whole world, there was no record of anyone having comprehended it. This brad was able to freeze him, an immortalstage cultivator as nascent cultivator. That would mean that he had at least reached a very high comprehension, which was already nearing complete comprehension.

As the patriarch was thinking this, the pair of two had already arrived next to them. Zes waved his hand and Gay was able to move his body. Then he formed a small dao essence and gave it to Gay. He stretched out his hand and as he touched the small ball of pulsating qi, his body started to glow and his wounds closed. Even the blood on his body became dust and fell off. Nothing on his body except for his torn cloths indicated that he was fighting a second ago.

“....., how can I thank you”

Gay first did not know what to say. He had not anticipated that he would be rescued by the immortal, which he tried to kill last night.

Zes just smiled.

“Just see it as reward for your speech. I have to say, you have a style. Near death, soaked in blood, speaking of principles and ancient warriors of japan. If I did not know that you were gay, I would think that you were trying to land at some girl.”

Gay blankly looked at Zes. Then he started laughing.

“Hahaha. Oh, I haven't heard so much humor and underhanded insults in one sentence for a loooong time.”

His face became serious.

“But....... NEVER AGAIN CALL ME HOMOSEXUAL! I'M FUCKING HETERO! RETARD!

Zes looked at him and then started laughing and a short time later Gay also laughed. Two men stood at an almost completely flattened street, the sun was setting and somehow a strange atmosphere was created.

Reis was just standing there and wondering why she was feeling that she was in a shonen-ai manga while the patriarch was still standing there frozen, wondering if he should draw attention to himself or just wait until they have finished this extremely wrong situation.

Then Zes with a brilliant smile.

“#no homo”

And Gay sad with the same brilliant smile.

“Donno what's a hashtag, but no homo.”

And so the situation ended and both of them became serious.

“'key, state your conditions.”

Zes smiling answered.

“So you knew.”

“Of cause I knew. Why else would you help me?”

Zes pretended to ponder.

“Goodwill?”

“And dogs learnt to fly...”
