“What do you mean I’m supposed to know. I’m a regressor, not an all knowing time traveler.”
I watched as he scoffed. I held back punching him and gave an idea.
“Okay then, how about we attend these parties and introduce ourselves.”
“Great idea.”
Not like I gave a crap about his opinion.
After we entered inside the city, Ynnihlas instructed Remis to go towards the sound.
And he did, not long after we finally arrived at the place. But because people were swarming the place, we had no choice but to leave the carriage.
*Crack*
“What was that?” Ynnihlas looked me weirdly.
“My bones needed a quick fix.”
“…”
We were currently standing in front of the crowd of people, who looked like they were cheering about something. Even with my enhanced hearing I couldn’t hear anything because of the loud music.
But then something entered my eyes.
A huge stage appeared and a girl stepped on it.
From my perspective she was rather high up.
“Hello! People of Bylmind, how ya doing?”
She spoke through the microphone on her hand. The sound was so loud that probably everyone in the city heard it, however none seem to mind it.
I continued to listen to her.
“I was passing by, so I thought why not a celebration.?”
She whispered the last word enchantingly.
Her long black hair danced vividly with the air and her red eyes had mischief written on her.
“You’re the best…”
“Princess, you look beautiful….”
“Marry me!”
“Princess!—“
Everyone had something to say to her. Well at least I was able to find her …quite easily.
Ynnihlas looked at her with a weird face.
“What’s with that expression?” I asked.
“Nostalgia. We were childhood buddies.”
“That just makes it easier for us.”
“Drinks from me!”
She yelled in the mic and suddenly butlers appeared all around carrying wine, pints and beers.
Everyone took something and drank happily.
Well, I sunk in the surrounding mood and drank as well. It’s not like I can get toxicated that easily.
Even Ynnihlas, who deemed himself as a person with manners and a responsible person started drinking while he was lost on his nostalgia or whatnot..
“Yo, Ynnihlas. Why don’t we just go and introduce ourselves, you know her.”
Ynnihlas froze and turned towards me as he sheepishly scratched the back of his head, “Well.. When I said we were childhood buddies, that might have been a previous timeline.”
I sighed, “and why the hell would you change such a thing.”
“I had to train. I didn’t have time to go around and play with a rebellious princess.”
His response made sense, so plan B was thrown out of the window.
Plan A it is. I decided to let Ynnihlas on my plan.
Royal Road is the home of this novel. Visit there to read the original and support the author.
“After this party is over, we’ll go and introduce ourselves, with me leading the conversation.”
He raised an eyebrow, “why not me?”
“With how things are looking, you’ll be drunk by then.”
Following my words, he looked at the bottle of beer he just gulped and shrugged as he took another one.

Day time had passed and we were in the morning hours, I looked at the sun rising slowly and then my surroundings.
All of them had fallen down, Ynnihlas at my left was wasted and was sleeping soundly.
However there was one person which was still awake. And that was the princess, even though she couldn’t stand, she was awake and didn’t seem too drunk.
She looked at me and spoke.
“Judging by your clothes, you should be a noble from Helzarr, you’re quite handsome.”
I smiled, “You’re also a great beauty princess”
She chuckled, “you still didn’t tell me where you come from.”
“I’m indeed from Helzarr, however I’m no noble, just a self-made.”
Once more she chuckles, “I’m a princess, does that mean I’m not self-made?”
“Well, a princess you shall be if you earn it, but that’s not how royalty works. So I guess you just have to be yourself and be great to own the title given to you at birth.”
She looked at the sky and mumbled loud enough for me to hear.
“I wish my father thought like you.”
I just looked at her silently. Until she dropped from the stage and came towards me.
“Sorry for not introducing myself, I’m Rebecca.”
She had her hand up, slightly waving.
I put my left leg slightly forward and my right hand at my heart and crouched my head slightly. It’s how nobles introduce.
“I’m Leonidas, a pleasure to meet you, Rebecca.”
She was slightly surprised, probably because I called her by her name, but I was not the type to judge a person by their status.
She smiled and said, “A pleasure to meet you too, Leonidas.”
She yawned.
“Well Leonidas, it seems it’s time I take a nap, tomorrow I’ll be leaving, but before I do that, I’ll be sure to have another party, so you should come.”
“Alright, see you then I guess.”
After she left, I dragged Ynnihlas by the collar and went towards where we left the carriage.
Remis was awake, thankfully he didn’t drink much.
“I’ll be leaving for a bit.”
He just nodded at me and I left. What was I gonna do? Well, because I barely drank, I have to get my fill. Can’t let some ordinary drunks outdo me.
So I went to a bar. It was very empty, but I didn’t care. All I want is to drink.
“Give me you best alcohol.”
I sat on a table and the bartender gave me various bottles and I started to chug.
*Meow*
I looked at my left, where the meowing sound came from and noticed a cat licking wine from a wine glass.
It was a black cat. The cat had sky blue eyes that seemed way more intelligent than other cats I had ever seen.
As the cat meowed, the bartender filled the wine glass again.
Curious, I asked. “What’s with the cat.”
The bartender looked at me with a slightly anxious look.
“I don’t know. Yesterday, someone dressed in black came and left the cat, he said that I should feed her thirst with wine whenever she meows. Other than this, I’m just as confused as you.”
I nodded at his response and then looked at the cat.
[ Name - Sylvie ]
[ Species - ?Cute? Cat ]
Interesting. That’s what I though as I used [ Identify ] on her.
When I used Identify on others, the information wasn’t like this. Previously it gave me a name, class and level, I didn’t know if that changed when used on a cat, but I’m pretty sure that the species wouldn’t be written as cute cat, and that’s without seeing how there were question marks on that.
The cat stopped drinking and looked at me. Its gaze was rather sharp. Sharp enough to confirm that it was no ordinary cat.
I didn’t flinch and continued to look at her curiously. The cat stopped looking at me and continued licking the wine.
An hour passed and the cat hadn’t stopped drinking. I was wondering where the hell all that wine went.
Well the cat wasn’t the only one drinking. I drank aswell. But the the drinks were rather without taste. So I looked through the old man’s belonging and found a wine cellar. All kinds of wines were stored in there. So I picked a bottle and took it out of the ring.
I poured some in the wine glass the bartender gave to me and I started to smell its aroma.
But it seems that I was not the only one enchanted by its smell, the cat was looking at me with a saliva coming out of its little mouth.
I didn’t pay attention to the cat and tested the wine.
It was…. The best thing I had ever drank. It had the taste of all kinds of berries, the aftertaste of the sky and it stings like poison. The combination of the three made a heavenly taste.
The bartender was quite hurt as he looked at me drinking something else, but I payed no heed and continued to slowly drink the wine at my hand.
After I finished the glass, I continued to pick up the bottle and read its name.
’Skyrie Wine’
Understanding of the wine’s name, I mumbled.
“Never seen such a fitting name.”
“You are making me quite curious demon boy, how about you share a little.”
I heard a childish voice.
I didn’t notice someone behind me.
I looked behind and saw the cat.
“Eh?” I was wondering if I was already drunk.
I looked at where the cat was previously and she wasn’t there.
It’s the same cat. But when did she get behind me.
“Stop making this glorious cat wait, and pour me some of that.”
Yes. The cat confirmed it was speaking. Eve the bartender looked shocked.
I got ahold of myself and finally spoke to the cat, “since when can cats speak.”
The cat looked at me with a mocking look and spoke proudly, “Hehe, this cute cat can speak because I’m no ordinary cat, now stop the questions you have in your mind and pour me some of that tasty looking wine you got there.”
After the cat finished speaking, it pushed the glass before her slightly, gesturing me to pour it.
And I did. I didn’t want to, but I did.
It started licking it.
“Heaven!”
The cat exclaimed.
“Since your name is Sylvie, I suppose you’re a female cat.”
She looked at me.
“I noticed you took a look at my information earlier. You know it’s not nice to glare at somebody’s information.”
She noticed? How can she notice that I used [ Identify ] on her. Was it an assumption?
“What do you mean?” I asked her.
She scoffed.
“Humph, This cute cat is strong enough to tell such a weak identification skill, but don’t worry, you’re close to achieving it too.”
Yeah.. She can tell. She probably has seen through my status.
But I was slightly angry.
“Well, it’s not like you’re showing your true information.”
She licked her lips and grinned.
“Everything is true thought.”
A proud and arrogant cat..
