The black gas-like entity entered the atmosphere of the planet, and appeared in the sky of a lush green forest filled with vitality, without anyone detecting its presence.

Anyways, no one was even capable of detecting its presence on the planet. The strongest creatures on the planet were humans who didn't know anything about cultivation or mana.

The entity's name was Black Abyss, it scanned the forest below for food and finally found a living creature worthy enough to be its host. On the ground a tiger lay peacefully with its eyes closed enjoying the warm atmosphere. It didn't know that a calamity was fast approaching. Today the role was going to be reversed. The tiger will come to know today what being a prey of a predator feels like.

The tiger suddenly sensed something and jerked its head upwards to avoid the incoming danger, but the action seemed futile as it wasn't able to avoid the clutches of Black Abyss.

Black Abyss entered the tiger's body through its nose, mouth and every other hole that it could find. The tiger fell to the ground and cried out in pain. Blue veins started emerging on it like worms crawling beneath its skin.

The tiger writhed in pain and started rubbing its body on the ground as if wanting to peel off its skin It started rubbing even more forcefully.

Slowly blood started coming out of its skin. Suddenly the tiger puked blood out of its mouth mixed with pieces of internal organs After struggling for a minute the tiger finally gave in and stopped moving.

There was pin-drop silence in the always cheerful forest. The silence was enough to make one hair stand on its own. Finally, after an hour the tiger started moving again, its eyes bloodshot, its body bulged over 5 metres in length, and its sharp fangs grew even longer giving a metallic sheen, The tiger transformed into a monster straight out of a horror movie.

The monster tiger smiled madly or to be precise Black Abyss, the first steps of its plan had succeeded, considered to be the most difficult as an entity like Black Abyss would have been obliterated by now if it was on a planet filled with cultivators.

Now black Abyss could begin the second part of its plan which was to slowly take over the forest, Black Abyss started eyeing the forest with hunger and greed.

Dawn didn't have anything to do with the black Abyss nor did he care about it. He was on his way to the canteen to grab some food. While thinking about the lady from before, if he wanted he could have defeated her by summing his monsters but that would have defeated the very purpose of his training.

One by one everyone arrived. The first to come was Nemo followed by Lucy and others, in the end, the captain also arrived.

Outside the canteen, Dawn and the other four cadets were standing in front of Captain Nios in a row with their hands behind their backs.

Cadets started moving toward the centre of the base silently after for some time they were standing in front of a towering building piercing the roof of the base, following the directions they were in front of the elevator guarded by 20-30 guards with fierce expressions on their faces. Dawn flashed the token toward them, The guards eyed the token carefully after observing for one full minute Dawn's group was allowed to pass, after some time five of them were standing in an elevator moving downward.

The lifting was slowly moving downward, it appeared that it would take some time to get down there, Nemo was the first to speak," Anyone knows what are we going to do down there," he said and looked at everyone with expectations in his eyes, before anyone could answer him Ajanta spoke in a sarcastic voice," drink booze while relaxing."

Ajanta continued in a mocking voice," Is your brain smaller than a pea, why do you think the Captain handed us the token, try connecting with it and you will get all the information that you need."

Nemo was angered by Ajanta's sarcastic response. Why was he trying to make fun of him again and again, he clenched his teeth and spoke while pointing at him," Did I ask for your opinion, you better not talk to me like this again."

Dawn and Lucy looked at their drama from the sidelines, just like that 5 minutes passed and they were 8 km below the surface.

The gate of the elevator opened and five of them walked out of it. Dawn looked around his surroundings only to find himself in a huge underground cave covered in darkness with the only source of light being a dim lantern hanging on the walls.

Dawn heard the sound of footsteps and a man in his 40's approached them and bowed politely.

The man's name was Jack, and he worked in the mines below the base, Although his cultivation wasn't anything impressive the same couldn't be said about his talent to mine things, he was capable of doing things that required hundreds of workers.

Nemo bowed and smiled at Jack while the rest ignored him.

Jack looked at their reaction and smiled mysteriously, he was used to these arrogant brats' reactions.

Ellora looked at Jack and said, "You can do whatever you want and don't mind us."

Jack smiled happily at her words, he was relieved that these people weren't too nosy or else he was going to have difficult times ahead of him.
