"Arghhh.."Dawn suddenly opened his eyes with a painful scream, cold sweat running down his forehead.
He scanned his surroundings with vigilance, ago Dawn truly came to know what soul-crushing pain really was. He never wanted to feel such pain again.
Someone had attacked and killed all of them, Dawn remembered the faces of Mogan, Jack and Ruby. A sad smile appeared on his face when he thought about Ruby's kindness.
"Yawn!.. Why are you screaming like a girl?" sugar's sleepy voice resounded in his mind.
Dawn was somewhat relieved after listening to Sugar's voice, his heartbeat stabilized a little.
"Did you feel anything strange a few minutes earlier," Dawn questioned her cautiously, he didn't want to speak too much about it.
"Strange?.. If a grown man screaming like a little girl counts as strange then yeah I heard something strange." Sugar suddenly appeared in front of him, she was dressed in cute pajamas and was hugging a stuffed toy larger than her.
Dawn ignored her remarks, he looked at her with a serious expression without saying anything.
Sugar hazel eyes rolled in annoyance, she pouted and examined him and the room closely looking for any clues.
When her eyes fell on Dawn, she frowned and instantly appeared in front of Dawn in the blink of an eye.
Dawn looked at her in surprise, he was sure he heard a sonic boom when Sugar appeared in front of him, her speed was greater than the sound.
Dawn noted and he decided to be more vigilant around her. Sniff! Sniff! She sniffed the air around him, with a frown on her face.."Aura of Absolute technique." she muttered in a low voice.
"How is this possible?" she suddenly yelled, her eyes widening in horror.
Before Dawn could understand what was going on. Sugar eyes glowed in blue light and she silently muttered "Absolute Purification" with a serious expression on her face.
Golden light enveloped Dawn's body from head to toe. He looked at Sugar with a questioning expression on his face. He couldn't understand what she was trying to do.
Black particles started to come out of Dawn's body, disintegrating after coming into contact with the golden light.
"I just saved you from a huge trouble." Sugar exclaimed.
If you encounter this narrative on Amazon, note that it's taken without the author's consent. Report it.
She turned to look at him and said with a frown.
"How did you come in contact with an Empyrean?" Dawn's eyes suddenly widened after listening to her words.
"What is an Empyrean?" Although he had some guesses in his head, he didn't voice them out.
"it's better if you don't know anything about it." Sugar said with an indifferent face, she didn't answer her question.
Dawn didn't ask her again, he would know about it eventually. He sighed and fell asleep.
Sugar looked at sleeping Dawn with a mysterious expression on her face, after some time she too disappeared.

The next morning Dawn was standing in front of Commander Dennis's office with a look of anticipation on his face. He wore a neatly pressed military outfit, complete with a green jacket adorned with shiny buttons. Dawn's attire looked very organized and official.
After waiting for five minutes he was finally invited inside, the interior of the office was the same as the last time that he came.
Dawn performed a salute and stood in front of the table silently.
"Dawn, you are finally here." Commander Dennis spoke in a cheerful voice. As if he was waiting for Dawn's arrival. He gestured to him to sit in front of the table.
Dawn relaxed and casually took a seat, and waited for Commander Dennis to speak.
Commander Dennis raised his hand forward and a letter shining in golden light appeared in his hands.
"Take it, this is the letter of recommendation. I hope you won't let my expectations go down." Commander said in a serious voice.
Dawn took the letter from his hands carefully and gently held it in his hands as if it were the most precious treasure.
"You will have to depart at 11 a.m sharp, come to my office at that time and I'll send you to the academy." Commander Dennis added, and with that, he gestured for him to leave.
Dawn got and performed the salute and took his leave from the office. It was still 9 a.m in the morning, he had 2 hours to spare.
He decided to head to the canteen and say goodbye to his friends, although he didn't want to.
He spotted Nemo and others in one corner, happily chatting and enjoying their breakfast. One person was missing, Lucy, she was nowhere to be seen.
"Hey! Dawn come here." Nemo spotted him and called him to join them. Dawn walked over with a smile on his face.
Ellora glanced at the shining letter with a shocked expression on her face," No way you are leaving already," Ellora seemed to know the significance of the letter.
After Ellora's exclamation Nemo and Ajanta's eyes also focused on the letter. Nemo didn't seem to be aware of it as his expression remained the same.
The happy atmosphere was replaced by silence, Ellora couldn't believe it. Even after using cultivation techniques, she couldn't catch up with him.
After thinking about it for a moment she sighed and congratulated him on the achievement.
Ajanta followed suit, and Nemo appeared happy at the news.
Nemo had seen how Lucy reacted weirdly when Dawn was around, he was starting to get jealous.
Dawn enjoyed his last breakfast at the Frozen graveyard. He didn't know whether he would miss this place or the people that he met there.
The little bit of pride that he was feeling was crushed by the last incident, he realized he was nothing in the grand scheme of things. He couldn't get complacent just because his talent was superior to others.
His talent wouldn't amount to anything if he didn't work hard. The place taught him many important lessons that he will never forget.
2 hours passed in the blink of an eye, he didn't know if he would meet his teammates ever again, but he had a feeling that they definitely would.
Dawn walked in the direction of Commander Dennis's office with a confident gait. It was time
to move to the capital Avon, where the largest Academy of the Magic was situated.
