My race was created by a group of scientists using a combination of genetic engineering and magic, including magical rituals. They aimed to create a perfect race and concluded that it needed to be able to survive in a vacuum. That's why I'm able to absorb sunlight and also have a functional digestive system. Essentially, my stomach can turn everything into energy for my body. I believe I should be able to eat any organic substance and possibly some inorganic substances. This means I could potentially have anything as a food source, and even in a situation without a food source, all I need is sunlight. The probability of being in an area where I couldn't find some form of sustainable food source or access to light is very low, especially considering the potential to digest inorganic substances. Though I believe I should be able to digest any organic substance, I have no desire to try with inorganic substances.
I was not granted much more than basic information after becoming this race. As I mentioned, this race was designed to be biologically superior through magic and genetic engineering. By mixing magic into it with various magical rituals, you can prevent genetic issues from occurring. While these genetic issues might only be minor, those minor problems could become significant when you have a massive amount of chaotic mana in your system which is why I said just make a regular human body with no genetic Engineering.
"Oh, and inform me when we arrive. I'm going to try and strengthen myself by absorbing cosmic mana." I closed my eyes and absorbed a very small amount of cosmic mana. The rainbow sun, a visual representation of my soul, grew massively and rapidly. I'd only absorbed a sliver of mana. When I opened my eyes, I immediately felt highly intoxicated by the massive surge of power, but I forcibly suppressed it. "I see. In hyperspace, the amount of cosmic mana around us is the same, but it's highly compressed, meaning that tiny amount was a shit ton of cosmic mana." If I'm not careful, I might lose my mind.
After several days, we finally arrived at The Colony. I exited the spaceship through the airlock, then flew down to The Colony planet and was naturally guided to the laboratory entrance. I entered and made my way down to the bottom of the lab, where I saw a total of 20 human bodies. "Not very many of you, is there?" I said. Part of their prevention of rogue AIs includes the fact that basic AIs are capable of performing the necessary calculations for hyperspace jumps, but they do not possess any consciousness or sense of self. They are more like giant calculators, only capable of computing things. They can also run simulations, but they are very basic. I'm assuming in the past there were more advanced AIs, but they were all stopped by humans after they rebelled. The safety measures are so harsh as a result of that. All supercomputers and quantum supercomputers can only be on space stations and spaceships. The number of quantum supercomputers is limited to 20, and they all have a self-destruct mechanism that can be triggered manually.

I then took out a scalpel from the table, slit my wrist, and used my blood to draw a circle around all the pods that contained the newly made bodies. I added countless runes into the circle, forming a complex magic circle from my blood. I stood in the center of the circle and said, "Begin transferring your consciousnesses into the bodies. The link you create to the bodies will guide your soul." I knew they used subspace communication. I could sense it and then immediately used that to trace their location and cast soul magic. Incomprehensible words started coming out of my mouth. These words could not be understood by any that was not involved.
As I continued chanting these words, I felt slight resistance. I immediately shouted, "Do not resist and just let it happen!" The resistance lessened and then disappeared entirely. I anchored the souls into their new bodies by chanting another spell. Once I was done, I immediately collapsed, panting—or at least my version of panting, since I lack lungs. The mana I had now was astronomically increased, and it still took half my mana pool, showing just how terrifyingly powerful soul magic is and how high its consumption is.
"I'll teach you guys magic after you get used to your new bodies."
I used healing magic to heal myself, then used spatial magic to create spatial ripples around the planet, successfully triggering a mana storm. I immediately passed out as a defense mechanism, my body processing the chaotic mana in my system. When I woke up, the laboratory was gone—it was now just a hole in the ground.
I proceeded to the surface where I was met with 20 elves. "Oh, it looks like you're elves now. I wasn't expecting all 20 of you to turn into the same thing."
Using clairvoyance to scan the planet, I saw that all the artificial structures were destroyed in the mana storm. "Looks like everyone else died. Not that surprising—their souls were quite weak. Most people at this point in civilization are like mindless worker bees."
why are you getting used to your new bodies I'll begin creating somewhere for us to stay and somewhere for me to teach you magic
I flew around the planet, locating all of the ley lines. Once I mapped out all of the planet's ley lines, I began setting up an outline of where I was going to place the structures. I decided on pyramids because I thought it would be funny if people from Earth believed that aliens had been the ones to build the pyramids, only to later realize that these pyramids were actually less old than the ones on Earth. The idea of them wasting all that time to find out that it was likely someone from Earth who built them as a practical joke would be hilarious.
