chapter 46

"All right, I look at my fairy and ask, 'Do you want a body? I mean, I can easily maintain the amount of Mana you're consuming for the time being, at least. However, you would be entirely reliant on me supplying you with Mana, although I am sort of required to do that because of our contract. You would eventually use more Mana than I can really supply you with; after all, the longer you stay in the Material World, the faster you're going to consume Mana to maintain your existence.'

I pull out the body of a female human that I got from killing all those people. Yes, I may have collected a lot of corpses and stored them in my storage ring from the battlefield. I used a bit of healing magic to restore the body. It's quite interesting; you can use healing magic to actually restore someone's corpse but you can't bring them back to life at least not with healing magic.

She looks at me and says, 'You just have a bunch of bodies lying around?' I simply reply and say, 'You do know there are for a ton of magical rituals that require a human body. Anyway, that doesn't matter; you can possess it since it doesn't have a soul in it currently. So, you don't have to worry about two souls fighting over the same body.'

The fairy simply smiles and possesses the body, which is now fully restored. Its appearance rapidly changes to that of the fairy. Instead of looking like the Tinkerbell-sized fairies, it now becomes a human-sized fairy. When a spirit possesses a body, it changes the body's appearance to that of the spirit.

She smiles and says, 'This is quite an adequate vessel. I'm surprised. Isn't this just the body of an F-rank human?'

Yes, it seems the trump card for USA soldiers was a magic item that activated a magical ritual exchanging pain for strengthening the body. The downside was that most of the soldiers who used it turned into mindless berserkers, and the strengthening of their body wasn't that significant. However, considering the body hasn't exploded, I think the strengthening was entirely focused on making the body more durable. Not that it really matters against my unique magic, that literally burns everything.

This body will probably last a few months at most. I'll construct you a golem body later. Anyway, let's head back to Earth so I can enjoy my time off. The laws of physics state that light is the fastest speed. This is not true. Also, the speed of light is actually significantly faster than what they measured it as. However, it is true that beings made of matter can't go 100% light speed, because at 100% light speed, they would become energy, essentially dying. However, if they were to exceed the speed of light, it's possible that they would travel back in time to the moment before their body disintegrated into energy. However, while this possibility does exist, it would not occur 100% of the time, meaning you probably would just die. It not just needing to exceed the speed of light; your energy wavelength needs to be on a very specific frequency in order to reverse time back to before you disintegrated into energy. Anyway, if you want to go faster than the speed of light without disintegrating into energy, the best way to do that is to simply strengthen your body so that it can hold itself together.

We finally reached Earth, and I naturally returned home, only to see an angry Sophie looking at me, asking, "Who's this?"
