Dear self,
The big tree has become a little haven for Vamera it seems. She is drawn to how the closeness with a looming physical presence allows her small light to be more visible within the night-time dreamscape. Having something for her light to shine on does improve her presence quite well.
She figured out how to speak almost properly while I was awake, so I learned a bit more about her last night than I have in total before now. She claims to be the very asura that was defeated nearby a few months back. The very one whose violent confrontation caused the rifts nearby. Her rival asura, Ahtu, became unreasonably upset with her when she wanted to bargain for a few concessions to allow him to pass through her territory somewhere. Seeing her as she is now, considering that she is an immortal being possibly revered by a few cults, really shows how hilariously pathetic her situation is. She had poked a really angry bear it seems! I can’t believe an asura has been reduced to this so quickly, and in this era! These types of confrontations between asura has not been common for many centuries.
Ahtu is clearly from an old generation of asura, which Anora warned me of. He must be a little set in his ways to be so quick to anger. Vamera needs help in reconstituting her domain before she can manifest a new incarnation. It seems like she bonded to me and Rahph merely because of fortuity, which is her strongest Aspect, so that is not surprising. She claims my Fate is a little aligned with chance and fortuity as well in a tangential way which makes me compatible enough to resonate with her powers.
This all means that Vamera is now my divine patron, completely without my volition. Divine magic is highly Aemuloric, so that means she will be my only choice of patron unless I do something drastic about it. It is sort of annoying, but at least that gives me some resistance against any other attempts at interference from other asura. If she doesn’t try to exploit me it won’t be too much of a bother, and at present I am in a position of power over her in any case. If I get dragged into some cult worshiping her I will be finding ways to get her for this though. They will probably be gamblers or something equally undesirable.

I worked on the evasion cloak in between handling the compass and the enchanted sack. Analysing how the sack phases matter slightly has even given me some insight into improving the Opus for my cloak. The phasing allowed the displacement glamour on the cloak to be projected more easily that it would have been if I had just been working on how it projects the entire morning. It is somehow easier to detach the projected image from my actual location if I use the effects in concert. I can now project my presence to be almost out of reach from my real position, the effect on the wearer’s aura has intensified as well. Thinking on it now, I believe the Wondrous item has developed its own affinity towards phasing somehow, which is exciting.
A Ms Jhunn Burrowire came in today with a decorative box enchanted to contain sound and melodies. I had to entertain the nervous lady while waiting for Mum since I still have my official approval suspended by the Guild. I helpfully appraised the item for faults and explained it to her as a distraction. It works sympathetically, which helps in keeping only the pieces of music you remember within the enchantment and to exclude the flaws left over from reality. It seems a good way to store memories if you want o look back on them fondly. As best I could tell it had merely begun struggling with its musical glamour so whatever is stored inside remains completely whole but cannot be played as well as it should. Some of the notes must have become silent. This is expected with a normal enchanted item as old as this, it is likely about as old as its very owner!
We attempted a joint divination with the group of tiny wizards. I still can’t tell them apart, and I am not sure if any of them are of separate genders. Their mannerisms is ridiculously similar. The spell failed overall, but I almost got a sense for the rift towards a northerly direction, which is away from Tintinnabulis. It was very vague, so it only suggested that the rift and the other interloper are somewhere that isn’t south. There won’t be anyone in danger at least.
The phantom pain I got from the other interloper resurged today slightly. Afterwards it faded from a lot of where it had spread, but when it throbs now it seems more painful at the reduced surface it ha been concentrated to. It might be just that the surrounding pain previously had desensitised me to the core pain slightly and I am feeling what I have always felt except with a little more contrast to make it stick in my mind.
Hope we fare well.
Regards,
Me.
