“Sylphie, I got bullied!” Altreyes ignored the fight she was engaged in and ran into Sylphie’s embrace, all the while shedding crocodiles tears so fake even a baby wouldn’t believe they were real.

“You got an unreasonable brother to protect you, well guess what? I got unreasonable family to protect me. Let's see how you get out of this situation.” Altreyes thought as she cuddled Sylphie.

“There, there, little silly. No need to cry. Calm down and tell me what’s going on.” Sylphie comforted Altreyes while Erica rolled her eyes. Rather than saying they were cousins, it is more convincing to say they were mother and daughter.

“Anyone can tell by looking at the scene. The two babies were squabbling, no doubt over something minor and very stupid and when one can’t win, he went to tattle. Instead of stopping the childish fight, daddy over there decides to lower his mental maturity and joins the fight. Not to be outdone, our baby decided to come crying to us.” Erica said with all the contempt she could muster, which is a lot, considering the snobs she hobnobs with.

“Who are you calling daddy? Aetharious is my younger brother.” Not so stupid brother got demoted back to stupid brother. Of all the things he could have done, he protests Erica calling him daddy. He should have taken the chance to escape.

“So you admit you lowered your dignity and participated in a childish fight.”

“Don’t reduce the situation to a childish misunderstanding. If I didn’t come in time, that girl would beat my brother.”

Everyone turned to look at the short Perrian Let sniffling like a big baby in Sylphie’s embrace.

The hunched burrowing posture, the clinging arms, the hurt expression on the cute face scream innocent baby.

They all turn towards Aetharious peeping shyly from behind his brother.

Tearful innocent eyes stared at the group while the cherub looking face on a petite, fragile body inched closer and closer to his brother, seeking protection from all the evils in the world.

The cousins look at the aggressive black hair stranger with ridicule.

Anyone can see at a glance the two brats were like two tiny chihuahua fighting - all fluff and no substance.

“Ah… ahem. I apologize for my rude behavior. In my defense, I was panicking when I realized my brother went missing that I went beyond the circumstances warrant when I saw him being attacked under your daughter’s onslaught.”

Instead of refuting the ‘your daughter’ dig, Erica adopted the air of a knowing elder imparting their wisdom to an unruly junior.

“Any parent would panic when they realize their child is missing. Fear, sadness and anger clouds the mind when they frantically search for their missing child but they can only hold it all in until they are assured the child is safe. Afterwards, all the emotions held back gushes to the fore, and you say and do stupid things.” Erica nodded her head in emphasis, “I completely understand your situation.”

“You too? Here I thought I was the only one who has to chase my brother from one end to the other, making sure all the pervert doesn’t get to him and answer all the stupid incessant questions they may have.” The man commiserated with Erica.

“They never appreciate our efforts either.” The stupid brother nodded his head in agreement with Erica’s statement.

“Hey! You never had to watch over me.”the common problem protested.

“I never said it was you who caused all the problems mentioned, however, since you spoke up…”

“Sylphie! Erica is bullying me.”

“Cough, cough, baby, cough.”

“Okay, enough. Can anyone tell me what is going on?”

They all turned to look at Altreyes first since the issue seems to lie with her.

“I was exploring the town when I notice a tail following me so I decided to confront the stalker. I didn’t realize it was a little kid.”

Everyone turn towards little Aetharious, waiting for his side of the story.

After saying, “She got a tail.” the little kid hid behind his brother.

“You got a problem with my tail?” Altreyes asked while her tailed shot straight up like a agitated cat then proceed to wave back and forth, acting like an extra fist, demanding an explanation.

An irate baby confronting a timid baby would only make the timid baby scared and run away from the irate baby.

Unfortunately, the time for running was over so the timid baby can only hide behind his brother’s back.

The stupid brother got demoted to the not so stupid brother as he moved out of the way and let the children handle their own problems regardless of how heartwrenching Aetharious tearful gaze were.

“You got a problem with my tail. I’ll show you!” Altreyes used her tail to poke at the poor little boy but before it can make contact another tail intercepted the attack.

“I see.” Erica exclaimed with understanding, “Your brother saw that Altreyes had a tail so he wanted to investigate.”

Regardless of the revelation made by Erica, Altreyes or rather her tail did not stop attacking the little boy.

Aetharious’ tail was no pushover either. The two tails fought each other. Altreyes’tail had strength while Aetharious’ tail had control and flexibility. Soon the two babies were wrapped around each other like a snake ball as they maneuver to get a better position for their tail to attack. They came to a consensus that the tail will do the fighting, not the actual player, which seems to amuse the other three to no end though no one will openly laugh lest they earn the ire of the unreasonable baby.

“Are we going to stop them? They’ve been like that for 10 minutes.” Erica asked.

“No, let them do what they want.”

“I apologized for my brother’s behavior. He meant nothing by it. He’s just curious.” Not so stupid brother gave a 45 degree bow. They were in the wrong, and he was man enough to admit his mistakes.

“By the way, I haven’t gotten your name.”

“My name is Egarious and my little brother over there is Aetharious.”

“My name is Sylphie, the blue hair girl beside me is Erica and the idiot fighting your brother is Altreyes.” Sylphie introduce her group to the Egarious.

“Uhhh…”

“Yes?”

“Isn’t the girl beside you name TresBelleSoliel?”

Erica was surprise. They had their name tags turned off, yet Egarious was able to see their character name. “How did you know?”

Egarious paused, trying to find the correct words to explain. “It is a function of my title. I am ranked as a Knight, so I can see names if I focused on the person. Only a higher titled class can block my vision.”

By now the fight has determined the victor considering little Aetharious was flat on his back panting hard and Altreyes was walking towards them in ‘I won’ manner.

“Oooohhh so that is one of the benefits of the title. The crazy lady did say there were benefits but I was too lazy to listen.”

“Which crazy lady are you talking about?” Sylphie curiously inquired. Knowing Altreyes, she probably met all the crazy lady within a 100 km radius. The short Perrian Let has amazing luck, however her luck creates a nightmare for everyone else as they jostle for a position in her heart.

“The quest giver, Honored Lady Valdis of Tainsoar. She taught me the Eye of Untold Secrets as well as some potions and money for completing the quest.”

“How annoying were you for her to give you all the loot?” Sylphie asked, knowing Altreyes all too well.

“It was only a little bit.” There was not a hint of shame on Altreyes’ face. If she can get better loot by whining then she’d whined her heart out without worry. The end justifies the means in Altreyes’ mind.

“You should have worked harder. Who knows what Honored Lady Valdis of Tainsoar would have given you if you worked her more.” It was rare for Erica to agree with Altreyes’ ideology.

“You think so? Maybe I should go find her then. She said she wandered around the capital, if I wander around the capital I should be able to find her with ease.”

“Do you want to accumulate an army of insane psychos?” Sylphie asked in a bland voice. Altreyes attracts the crazies like flies to honey.

“Umm… excuse me.” a sweet hesitant voice interrupted the conversation.

“What?” Altreyes roughly replied. She didn’t like the little boy and it shows in her interaction with him.

“How did you get the tail?” Aetharious asked then immediately darted behind his brother’s back.

“I started off with the tail. You think I want the extra appendage that doesn’t listen to my command? I am not a man!” Altreyes ranted. The tail is useful but at the same time a great hindrance to the short Perrian Let. If she can control it, then she might have a higher appreciated for her tail, but the extra appendage has a mind of its own. It hasn’t obeyed Altreyes’s instruction yet.

“What does a man have anything to do with a tail? Mine obey my command.” Aetharious waved his tail, showing his perfect control, which sets off a fit of laughter in Erica and enrage Altreyes enough to continue her squabble with the little brat.

Egarious walked away from the two combatant. He eyed the other two women with concern then sighed as if he is going to attempt the impossible.

“Soliel has the right of it. This world is dangerous for Aetharious and I travel to explore by ourselves. If we may, can we travel with you ladies?”

“Soliel?”

“Most will see the name you have chosen and not your real name. When we are in a larger group, most won’t associate TresBelleSoliel with Erica and TresBelleSoliel is a mouthful so Soliel is a nice compromise.”

“That makes sense.” Sylphie said while studying Egarious. It seems she approves of what she saw when she allows them to join their group. “Accept the group invite.”

“Gggaahhhhhh.” A certain baby realized she can’t continue her little tussle since they were in the same group yelled.
