Chapter 0020
The survey responded with the following recommended choices for Leviene: Priest, Enchanter, Mage, Elementor, Assassin, Rogue, Cleric, Blade Runner, Archer, Ranger, Warrior, Guardian and Templar.
Among the possible classes available for Leviene, 3 are healers: Priest, Enchanter, Cleric, 3 are Tanks: Warrior, Guardian, Templars, and 7 are DPS: Mage, Elementor, Assassin, Rogue, Blade Runner, Archer, and Ranger.
Much to Leviene’s surprise, an explanation was given when Leviene randomly highlighted the choices given.
Class Description - Priest: A priest supports the patient physically, spiritually and mentally through the painful process of healing and the joy of complete recovery.
System Description - Priest: You are a moron and need to be spoon fed the answers. With your pea size brain and low IQ, if it wasn’t in front of your face, you’d never figure it out. Even then you still might not figure it out. So here it is stupid. The main type of spell used by Priest are dark and holy spells.
“Wahh, I knew it. The System brought us here for their own amusement!” Even though Leviene knew she was being tormented, what could she do? Fight the system? Hahahaha, fight beings capable of manipulating space and time, kidnap thousands of humans for their own enjoyment and is invisible but almost all knowing. Ha!
The short Perrian Let wanted to rush into her cousin’s embrace and cry. Remembering the answer to the survey in The System’s hand, Leviene can only abstain. Who knows when The System will do with her answers. There are private things in there!
Wait. Dark and holy. Didn’t she have a +25% to dark spells and +10% to holy spells?
Leviene brought up her character screen. Yep, it’s right there in the personal bonus section, +25% to dark spells and +10% to holy spells.
The synergy of her personal bonus will give her a much needed edge durings raids and fights.
“Oh god of the game, continue giving this lowly players more hints!” Slaughter guild members are used to Leviene’s abrupt 180 degrees attitude change when there are benefits for her. Erica would slap her silly if she knew Leviene’s greedy personality. At time like these, Sylphie wonder if Laurie was switch with Erica at birth. She’d fit in with the Burkett like a duck takes to water.
In her own way, Erica has a nobler personality than Leviene. Erica will fight tooth and nail against anyone who stomps on her dignity and pride, though in Erica’s case, her dignity and pride is attached to the more materialistic side of life. Case in point, when a news paper slander Erica, Landsling, and Parker, calling their work shoddy, Erica spent an additional 60 hours on top of 60 hour work week fighting back against the newspaper company, showing their financial reports and how they are evading their taxes. The Internal Revenue Service went down hard on the newspaper company. They wanted to set an example for the rest of the world. Those tax guys are not someone you want to mess with.
As a result of the audit, the news paper company had to pay $400 millions in back taxes. Of course they play hardball.
Sylphie thought if Leviene were in Erica’s shoes, she’d show her belly and beg for mercy. Or run to her owner. It’s fits with Leviene’s behavior.
Leviene wanted to know why The System chose these classes.
Class Description - Enchanter: An Enchanter buffs, supports and heals other player by through their link via enchantments on equipments and buffs cast.
System Description - Enchanter: This is one of the easiest healing class in the game and suitable for your lazy personality.
Leviene thought, “The System is a sl*t calling her lazy.”
Class Description - Assassin: An assassin is an elite killer using various skills to eliminate their opponent quickly.
System Description - Assassin: Really? Really? You really can’t figure it out? How does your family deal with your retarded behavior? Assassins deals dark damage, can stealth since you suck at fighting other players and have an easy skill tree. No complex thought necessary. Not that you are capable of thinking for yourself.
Class Description - Archer: An archer is the master of the bow. They deal the greatest damage from long range.
System Description: Hide faraway and shoot. Surly even you can do that? Right? Right? I forgot you’re blinder than a bat. At least a bat has echolocation. You have the telephone to call for help! No eyesight required.

“I protest. I want to lodge a protest. What does that mean no eyesight required? A blind person can’t dial a telephone.” Notice that Leviene did not quibble about the blinder than a bat quip, but the fact that a blind person can not dial a telephone.
System Description: ….
After the short Perrian Let got the System’s response, she immediately shut up and continue looking through the class list.
Her previous comment was a probe. Leviene is aware of the System controls this world. They ripped a hole a dimensional wall to acquire amusement, however Leviene does not believe the System will directly interact with the player right away. Why mess with a peon with they can harass a king or a knight? The ‘wow’ factor is greater if they allow players to gain fame, then crush them over and over again while basking in the awe and tears of the other players.
This is something Leviene would do to relieve bore… ahem, it is something SYLPHIE would do to relieve HER boredom. Indeed, this little Perrian Let is incapable of crushing the dreams of other players. She is the one who has her dreams crushed when they kill her and steal her ores or herbs.
Leviene guiltily glance over towards her cousin and thanked all the gods Sylphie can’t read her mind. For that matter, the System can not read the thoughts of the players.
Leviene test it out previously when she called the System a sl*t in her mind. If the System was capable of reading her mind, with its interest in her, it will respond to the derogatory remarks. She didn’t believe for one nano second the other players garners the System’s attention via the System Description.
The experienced player also knew that while Madalinos may be a member of the System or have direct access to the System, her interference in Arashia is limited. Calling the psycho-who-think-she-is-your-mother a sl*t in your mind deserve punishment. 100% HP to 1% HP in one slap flat is lenient.
This means someone else in charge has an interest in her. From what Leviene can glean between the lines, this person/thing/entity is friendly with Madalinos, hence the sarcastic hints.
Leviene has one nut bothering her. She didn’t want to another one bothering her. Correction two nuts bothering her…. Wait make that three nuts with her, though only two is bothering her. Sylphie is just a crazy as Madalinos, but in a different way.
Class Description - Templar: A knight of the holy order, a Templar specialize in standing in the front line, protecting their comrades from the evil of the world.
System Description - A righteous meat shield with the skills to back it up. It doesn’t fit your personality but I threw it in because you are going to get beaten a lot from all the dumb questions you ask. Might as well allow you to mitigate the damage.
Class Description - Guardian: A shield specialist focused heavily on defense.
System Description - Guardian: Hide behind the shield you coward.
“My dignity…” Leviene realize her dignity as an elite player has been trampled on. She wanted to defend herself, but sarcasm aside, nothing the system said was wrong. A feeling of being bullied course through Leviene along with helplessness and resignation.
Leviene sighed.
Oh well.
Dignity can’t fill an empty stomach.
Leviene turn back to the eliminated classes wondering the reason behind their elimination.
Class Description - Warlock: Mages who walk the dark path, making pacts with demons for strength.
System Description - Warlock: A warlock is a pet class. You can’t even manage your life, how are you going to micromanage a pet?
Class Description - Sword Dancer: Graceful dual wield fighters capable of making the most barbaric fight look like an elegant dance.
System Description - Sword Dancer: Can you dance with the two left feet of yours?
Class Description - Dark Knight: A knight inclined to the brutal side of life, Dark Knights were swayed by temptations and rethortics of the demons.
System Description - Dark Knight: You are an adorable puppy running to your owner when there is trouble. You aren’t cynical enough to become a Dark Knight.
What the last system description a compliment? Leviene thought so. She was happy she wasn’t slammed with sarcasm, though her expected praise wasn’t really a praise, more like a stark statement of reality.
Leviene understood why players had to take a survey before the chose a class. If the perception of the class affects the personality, then if a nice person was to play a Dark Knight for example, then the personality changes to fit the image of a Dark Knight.
The best example is Batman. Everyone all grew up with the Dark Knight as a rich child tormented by the death of his parents and determine to do something about it. He has the money, intelligences and the guts to do it.
Watching him on the silver screen is interesting enough, but who wants to actually live his life? He is rich and famous. He could do anything he wants. He can’t sleep at night without guilt tormenting him. He trains every day to fight crime. The more crimes he fight, the more beaten down he becomes by human nature.
Even though he fights crimes, he isn’t that much better from the criminal he catches. As the mistakes pile up, propaganda and false accusation occurs, times changes the original pure motives to something different, something darker.
Won’t he becomes the very thing they accused him of?
Batman didn’t.
He’s a cartoon.
A normal human changes under the invisible forces of their class. Therefore it is best to pair up the human with the class that fits their personality.
The experienced player didn’t want her choices limited to the classes provide but The System did have a reason for placing the class restriction on a player.
Leviene tried to imagine a cynical Sylphie. It wasn’t hard. Sylphie already cynical. Then she tried to imagine Sylphie’s dark inclination enhance by the current class.
She can already picture it. The poor little Perrian Let will be locked up in a zoo with five other people, monitored by cameras, freedom restricted and nothing to do but stare the wall. Sylphie visiting them will be a welcomed break in their dull lives.
Oh hell no.
“Thankyou System.” Between limiting her choices or limiting her freedom, Leviene chose the former. “Now to pick the classes.”
System Descripton: ….
