Chapter 0022

[TresBelleSoliel has joined the party.]

[Party - Leviene]: Who invited Erica?

Leviene is an easy person to get along with. If she consider you her friend then she’d defend you to the ends of the Earth and back. The reverse is also true. When Leviene holds a grudge, it takes true repentance for Leviene to forgive them, but given Leviene’s personality, she rarely get emotional enough to consider the argument ‘grudge worthy’. Today was the second time Leviene considered the altercation a grudge worthy event. Unsurprisingly, the first time it happened, leading Leviene to coin the term was ‘the dress incident’ with Erica. The second time was the fight earlier when Erica went too far with her insult in her bid to win a fight against Sylphie.

[Party - Sylphie]: I did.

Sylphie understood Leviene well. If she did not invite Erica back into the party, then Leviene will part ways with Erica then and there. She’d feel no remorse abandoning Erica in Arashia. There were no family rapport between the Perrian Let and the Ruse Marren.

Granted, the prejudice started from the previous generation then it got passed on to their children, but Erica didn’t deserved the enmity from Leviene. Interpersonal relationship wise, Leviene dumber than a bag of rocks. In modern terms, Leviene has low EQ. If she’d only look past the event itself to the underlying cause, she’d put more effort with Erica.

Erica, for all her faults, appreciate Sylphie’s effort, though her hatred against Eric Deveraux bias her against Sylphie too much to show her appreciation.

[Party - TresBelleSoliel]: I’m sorry about my previous outburst. Sylphie and I worked out some of our differences. I can’t see her as my bff, but I won’t antagonize her anymore.

[Party - Leviene]: And your verbal diarrhea?

[Party - TresBelleSoliel]: Sadly, it’s not something I can help without Xanax.

As a nurse, Leviene knew about Xanax. The generic name of Xanax is alprazolam, a benzodiazepine, used to treat anxiety caused by unbalanced chemicals in the brain. Common side effects include drowsiness, feeling tired, slurred speech, lack of balance or coordination, or memory problems. The doctor should be notified if the patient experience depressed mood, thoughts of suicide or self harm, unusual risk-taking behavior, confusion, agitation, hostility, hallucinations, uncontrolled muscle movements, tremor, seizure, pounding heartbeats or fluttering in the chest.

Damn it.

Tack on, Xanax is not for everyone, call you (800) XXX-XXXX if you have any questions or concern, and Leviene will be the damn commercial. She needs to be careful. No more free advertisement.

[Party - Leviene]: What do you have to anxious about?

[Party - TresBelleSoliel]: It’s an adult matter. Young children won’t understand.

[Party - Leviene]: Fine. Have it your way. But I’ll be watching you.

She even follow up the comment with the classic DeNiro to Stiller sign.

Everyone held in their laughter. It was especially hard for Sylphie to keep her face bland in front of Leviene’s posturing and blatant lying. The short Perrian Let was so cute when she tried to act tough. Her threats needed work. Everyone in the family knew Leviene had an inexplicable fear of Erica. Leviene was not aware of it. Everyone else knows the adorable Perrian Let turns around and runs away when she hears Erica. Leviene’s excuse was so bad even a five year old knew she was lying, although Leviene herself did not know of it.

[Party - Leviene]: Forget about it. Back on topic, how many alts can you guys have and what class have you picked? I’ll start first. 3 classes: Priest, Guardian, Assassin.

[Party - Kaleseze]: 3 at a time? Why?

[Party - Leviene]: I farm too much. The other two can’t really keep up with me if I’m leveling one character. So I need 2 characters. Since I have three possibility, I might as well level all three up at the same time.

[Party - Kaleseze]: Yeah, but why those three classes?

[Party - Leviene]: Glitch gave me 25% to dark attack and 10% to holy attack. Assassin class has dark attack while Priest has both. I heard tanking as a Guardian is easy.

[Party - Kaleseze]: Does the holy bonus only applies to holy attack or all of holy spells?

Kaleseze interest is pique. Leviene use games as a means to steady Sylphie; Wraith use the game as a form of stress relief and as a cheap form of entertainment where he doesn’t have to censure himself; Kaleseze was interest in the technical aspect. Among the three siblings, Kaleseze is the perfectionist. He like to theorize the damage/threat/healing output of a spec of the class then collect data by fighting the test dummy, adjust his theory then collect more data. He would have done well as a researcher with data oriented mind, but computers call to him, so he majored in computer programming instead.

This story originates from Royal Road. Ensure the author gets the support they deserve by reading it there.

[Party - Leviene]: Dunno. I’m assuming a complete bonus to all.

Kaleseze wanted Leviene to test out her personal stat bonus right away, but he knew it was not possible right now. He decided to see the result himself when they meet up. Right now, Kaleseze was more concern about his sister taking on more than she can handle. He did not was her to exhaust herself.

[Party - Kaleseze]: Are you sure you can farm enough? Alt have an experience penalty.

[Party - Leviene]: What?

[Party - Kaleseze]: 50% less experiences for your alt.

[Party - HotSauce]: How do you know all this John?

[Party - Kaleseze]: Read the introduction manual

[Party - Leviene]: Where?

[Party - Kaleseze]: Main menu, introduction. It’s about 200 pages.

[Party - Leviene]: How did you read all this so fast?

[Party - HotSauce]: Yeah how?

[Party - Kaleseze]: I read and explore the city at the same time.

Kaleseze is an introverted player who like to theorize before implementation. Leviene get lost her thoughts often. The family find it annoying. Kaleseze get lost in his theorem. The family let him be. When guild member see Kaleseze character running in circles in the city, they knew he was trying to figure something out, whether it be the best build after the changes to the classes or plans for the new raids. Leviene get smacked to bring her ‘out of the clouds’ while Kaleseze comes out on his own when he figure out a solution.

The different treatment use to frustrate the short Perrian Let. Now she let it be because they are family.

Family.

Can’t freaking get rid of them.

[Party - Wraith]: Yeah, that’s like you. I went Rogue and Warlock

[Party - Leviene]: Pure DPS. You useless bastard.

[Party - Leviene]: Mark? Cary?

[Party - Hawkain]: Tamer.

[Party - HotSauce]: Spiritualist.

[Party - Leviene]: Good luck Infernos, you have no tank or healers.

[Party - Wraith]: We don’t need to do dungeons before we meet up, so we should be fine.

[Party - Kaleseze]: Warrior, Ranger

[Party - TresBelleSoliel]: I’ve chosen mine. Sword Dancer. It sounds graceful, like a ballerina.

[Party - Leviene]: That’s how you choose your class? Picking a class with the prettiest name?

When Leviene heard Erica chose Sword Dancer, she was filled with envy. The System’s comment about her two left feet stung. Best way to pass the misery is to make someone else miserable. Leviene tried to do that. Too bad she chose the wrong person. Really wrong person. As mentioned before, Leviene unconsciously fears Erica. Leviene doesn’t know how to insult people intentionally. She does it all the time when she sticks her foot in her mouth, but to insult someone with feelings of malice, she doesn’t know how. As such, her insults becomes lame comments.

[Party - TresBelleSoliel]: How else should I choose? One class is the same as another for me.

[Party - HotSauce]: What about you Sylphie?

[Party - Sylphie]: Druid definitely.  But I can’t decide on the second class.

[Party - Wraith]: You got time. It’s just an alt

[Party - Kaleseze]: She should pick now. If she does, she get the extra 25 points in the beginning and every time she levels she gets stat points. The points stack up.

[Party - HotSauce]: Huh?

[Party - Kaleseze]: Okay, let me give you an example. If her druid has 25 agility points and no other stats, then she changes to her alt and put all 25 points into intelligence, her druid and her other class has 25 agility and 25 intelligence.

[Party - Leviene]: You test it out already?

[Party - Kaleseze]: Yeah.

[Party - Leviene]: Damn!

[Party - Kaleseze]: Sylphie, pick something and try stacking a single stat point.

[Party - Wraith]: Damn, I would have picked something else if I knew. Can you imagine 2 agility classes stacking the stat?

[Party - Leviene]: The secondary stats would put a check on it a bit.

[Party - Wraith]: But people playing these classes would have the secondary stats.

[Party - Leviene]: Diminish returns?

[Party - Kaleseze]: I don’t think so

[Party - Sylphie]: I’ll think about it.

[Party - Leviene]: I’ll stick to Priest, Assassin and Guardian.

[Party - Wraith]: Why go Assassin though, and not a caster dps? You can stack stats with your main Priest.

[Party - Leviene]: You assuming I’m going healer as my main.

[Party - Wraith]: You always play a healing class.

[Party - Leviene]: I want a stealth class to run. PVP going to be a pain. I’d rather go hide.

[Party - HotSauce]: PVP?

[Party - Kaleseze]: Player vs Player.

[Party - Leviene]: Yeah, I don’t want to be ganked.

[Party - HotSauce]: Ganked?

[Party - Leviene]: When a higher level player comes and kills a lower level player. Get with the program Cary.

[Party - TresBelleSoliel]: Quit using nerd speak then. You can’t expect all of us to understand your geek vocabulary do you?

[Party - Leviene]: Since we’re in a virtual reality game, yes I do.

[Party - Sylphie]: Okay enough. Leviene, Erica, let’s head to the class trainers. The rest of you guys try to find other family members. Send a message if there has been any new development or information, otherwise, we’ll be in an intensive grind fest when the gates open in a few days. You know how Leviene is.

[Party - HotSauce]: What do you mean by that Sylphie?

[Party - Kaleseze]: You’ll see when you play with her. Landian heading out.

[The group has been disband.]
