Chapter 0052
After trying for an hour to no avail, Leviene gave up trying to turn into Arganox. She can only chalk it up to the System making a mistake. God made mistakes in creating the useless cockroaches. The System can make a mistake with her character. It already set a precedent when it changes the color of her wings and the gave her a tail.
Leviene could have contacted Madalinos to ask, but the worry wart is already in an anxious state of mind, she didn’t want her to sink deeper into her insanity and do something stupid as come here and try to rip Arganox off of her character.
The chance of Madalinos ripping on of alts off her body is slim to none, but no one can predict the actions of an overprotective insane woman who thinks her daughter is haunted by a ghost because she can’t change into one of her alts.
Although there are things Leviene can’t do, there are things Leviene can do.
First and foremost, assign stat points! Yay!
Boo!
What the hell happened?
First she got a character she couldn’t play, now, her talents points were assigned without her knowledge!
Excluding stat points Leviene got from her gear, she should have 223 total points she could assigned. She did divvy up some of the points she got at the beginning earlier but it should leave her 123 possible points she could assign. Even though there was a bug with Arganox, the System gave her 30 stat points for Arganox.
Except.
Except all but 23 points were already assigned!
Damn it.
Constitution, 60 points, Strength 20 points, Agility 60 points, Intellect 55 points and Faith 60 points. The skill breakdown is almost even across the board except for Constitution and Intellects, who point 5 points each went to Strength instead.
“Well, that solves the question on where to place the points.”
Leviene has decided not to assign the 23 points because she doesn’t know what stat she needs. She doesn’t remember getting to level 30 at all, much less the skills she used to grind with.
Of course Leviene put her anger aside because of the secondary stat points. Endurance 77 points, Precision 45 points, Dexterity 35 points, Wisdom 20 points and Focus 70 points.
Leviene wanted the protest the lack of increase in Wisdoms, however mindless farming isn’t conductive to thinking, so the low Wisdoms reflects it. The experience gamer consoled herself with “At least something is better than nothing.”
Since that is done, next would be the skill trees.
Yay.
“Please don’t let the skills be assigned. Please!”
As luck would have it, the talent points were not assigned except for the ones Leviene put in there herself. There are a total of 52 points possible, 10 from the start, 10 from the quest and 32 for her level. 30 levels net 29 points because level one doesn’t count and an extra point on level 10, 20 and 30.
Leviene went to the Healing subsection of the Holy Tree. Since Leviene was going to train her priest as a healer, then it is best to assign the points in the Healing subsection first.
The Priest class is a jack of all trade, master of none type of healer. There are four direct heals, two HOTs and three AOE types spells as well as a revive, which brings the dead back to life.
Leviene approach to the Healing tree is very simple, put in points to get to the third tier in order to get Revive and throw everything else towards damage and utility and completely ignoring the Holy Incursion, the holy attack tree. Since Leviene get at 25% bonus to dark type spells and 10% to holy type spells, it is best to ignore the holy types of attacks and focus on dark attack.
One point can reduce the cast time of Triage by 0.25 second, capped at 8 points, making the spell a 1.5 second cast spell. Eight points used.
Recovery is a healing over time spells that heals every tick, or every second. The time can be extended by 0.25 second per point added, however adding anything less than multiples of four would be a waste as it doesn’t heal the target. Recovery heals for 20 hp over 10 seconds or 2 hp/sec. Increasing the duration of the spell indirectly increases the amount heal. Leviene add 8 points to the spell, making the spell heal for 24 hp over 12 seconds. The healing per second remains the same at 2 hp/sec.
There is an option to either reduce the mana needed to for the spell or to directly increase the amount heal. For example, if Leviene were to put 8 points into the amount heal, the 20 hp healed over 10 seconds would be 28 hp over 10 seconds or 2.8 heals per second. One point put into amount healed increases the total amount by 5%. 8 poins = 40%.

In the beginning, these numbers don’t add up to much, but over time, it makes a difference.
Leviene didn’t increase the amount healed for Recovery, instead choosing to increase the duration of the spell because of the option in the second tier, Recovered Constitution, increase Constitution by 1% per point added as long as Recovery remains on the target.
Some players choose to have more healing per second and would rather refresh the spell more often.
It is noted that Leviene chose Rayael as a Guardian because she wants to be a lazy tank. Given her laid back personality, it stands to reason Leviene also wants to be a lazy priest. Therefore, she’d put her points where she thinks it will help her heal but also where doesn’t have to pay attention to every little thing that happens during a raid. Hence her putting 8 points to increase the duration of the spell instead of the amount healed.
Next is of course 10 points into Recovered Constitution and 1 point into Mass for an AOE heal then the final skill, Revive.
Mass is an AOE healing spell that heals everyone in the party within 20 meters of the caster.
An important party of the description is the word party. In Dark Drake Kingoms, a party consist of five people, where as a raid consist of 40 people.
In Arashia, a party has a maximum of seven people, a platoon has 15 people, and a raid consist of ten platoons or 150 people.
Mass can heal at most seven people.
End game or high tier raiding isn’t something Leviene planned for so she put one point into Mass to get the spell and no more.
Revive has a 60 second cast time and brings the dead back to life. Leviene isn’t exactly sure how far apart the graveyard is but she knows all healers needs Revive. The elitist gaming snob in her will look down at any healers who doesn’t have a Revive type spell.
Leviene went to the Amplification subtree of the Holy Tree and dump 8 points into Intellectual Pursuit. With 2 points she previously put in there, Intellectual Pursuit has 10 points total, increasing her Intellect bonus by 10%.
Leviene hestitated, then bypass the Dark Tree. She had taken three skills from the tree previously, Dark Reach, Void Ball, and Void Blast. The spells serve their purpose. Leviene has no intention of taking anymore attack spells.
The experienced gamer knew it was best to do group grinding from now one, either it be dungeons or outdoor killing. Since such is the case, Leviene might as well leech off her party members. A healer can barely kill squat anyways.
Leviene has a killing backup, Altreyes. It might be better for Leviene to change into Altreyes to kill rather than trying to kill on her own. As for experience to level her priest… whelp hybrid Sylphie and Erica will have to do.
Under the Spiritual Tree, under the Faith subsection, there is the talent point Spiritual Faith which increase Faith by 1% per point added. 10 points goes into there immediately.
For healers, fast reaction speed and mana management is critical. Fact reaction speed allows a healer to react to attacks and keep the tanks up, or they can constantly spam their spells knowing the tanks receive enough damage that their spells will do some good.
Spamming has a drawback, mana. In prolong fights, healers must manage their mana. If they just constantly cast, then their mana runs out and they have to wait for the mana potions to finish its cool down period. By that time, the raid might be dead already.
Therefore, potion management and faith play a big role. Leviene already feels the pinch in her mana. When she was grinding the pixies, she realized she didn't have enough spirit, or she could have continued killing the pixies with very little down time.
Hopefully the Spiritual Faith passive bonus will help her here.
The Calm subsect of the Spirit Tree, Leviene already took Lethargy and Sleep. Silence is in tier 2, however, in order to get to tier 2, she needs to put 8 more points, but she has only 12 more points.
“Sniffle, goodbye silence, I will miss you, especially when I want to shut up Erica during her rants.” Bypassing the skills is truly heartbreaking for Leviene.
“On to the Psychosis subtree...ugh.”
The naming of the tree is in horrible taste, but the spells in the Psychosis subtree is good. Addication, transfer 5% of aggro generated to the target, 5 points. Bipolar-Mania, increase attack speed by 5% but decrease defense by 10%, 5 points, making the spell increase attack speed by 25% but decrease defense by 30%.
Leviene has 2 points left to spend but decided to save it for later.
Finally, her priest skills are finished.
