Chapter 0001

Chapter 0001

Leviene could tell she made a huge mistake in her character creation the moment she entered the world.

The newly created Perrian Let was transported to a bright airy hall or temple or some spiffy starting point. And the first thing Leviene notice? The size of the guard. They were giants, close to 7 feet tall. And that’s the shorter among them. There are other, she’d assume non-player character, abbreviated NPC, who neared 8 feet. And here stand little old her who wanted to be a bit taller by adding a modest 4 inches to her height. Only to become a shrimp in the land of giants!

Damn it. The new player should have chosen petite or small or something like that instead of inputting a specific size. Then the game would generate a character that is small relative to the other character in the game not a character that needs to go back to elementary school. Kindergarten? Pre school?

In Leviene’s agitated state, her wings flared out causing a weight imbalance. A nice way of saying she fell flat on her face because she is not used to having wings. And sadly not one of those graceful falls that encourages some handsome knight to catch her. Nope. A full on disgraceful fumbling of limbs, wings and … tail.

“What the fuck?” Leviene yelled, surprise at the unexpected appendage.

Tail? That wasn’t in the character model of this race. How did she get a tail? And her wings. They’re supposed to be white. Players were supposed to grow into their coloring.

Instead Leviene’s wings were black. If Leviene wanted black, she would’ve picked that for the color of her hair. Black! I’m tired of black, Leviene thought dismally. Black hair, black eyes, now black wings. Black god damn wings that have a mind of its own flapping around like it’s broken.

Oh damn it. Don’t tell me there’s a glitch in the software and it gave me this disabled toon, thought Leviene as she meticulously inspected her wings. Slowly she flare them out to get use to the sensation then flapped it a bit. It feels like she have three joints along the wing span. Less than a foot away from where the wings emerge from the back there is a joint. Leviene continue to flap and fold her wings, testing that particular joint. The back and forth motions seems to originate from that particular spot. So if she were to fight with another player, attacking that spot will prevent them from running away. It will also disable her should someone attack her at the joint. Good to know. She’ll whack someone on that spot and see if they can fly afterward. For informational purpose of course.

The second joint feels likes it in the middle of the wings. This is where the extending motions occurs. Looks like a player can achieve partial flight status if damage occurred there. The third joint is towards the end of the wings. This joints moves similar to the second joints, but has a more flexible feel towards it.

The new player slowly folded her character’s wings over her petite body, trying to find the best method to reduce the surface area. As she noted before, this character would have a hard time entering caves or enclosed spaces if the wings don’t have the ability to fold against the body. Furthermore, fighting with wings right now is more of a liability than an advantage. Humans walked since they were a toddler. Never flew before.

The story has been taken without consent; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident.

Not just black. The newly minted character’s wings are onyx colored with an almost pearlescent shine to them. The primaries and secondaries were silver. Black and silver, silver and black. Not a bad combination in Leviene’s opinion, but, there always a but, her character looked like she had black wings in the beginning, only to have the creator accidently dip them in a can of white paint. Some of Leviene’s nicer relatives might say the color scheme is beautiful, onyx edge with silver moon light.

The not so nice relatives will say something like poor, helpless, clumsy Leviene, has a tail that wags like a dog. Oh yeah that unruly appendage. Leviene can feel it there but she can’t see it. She put her hands on her hips and slid them down towards her tailbone. Aptly named now. She has a tail.

The base of the tail feels thick, but triangular in shape with a spine like protrusion at the top. After the first three segments of hardened scales, Leviene think they are scales since she doesn’t have eyes behind her back or a mirror, the tail tapers off towards a more round, circular shape. Leviene pulled the lower half of her tail closer to her face for better inspection. The tip of the tail actually break apart revealing 3 sharp talons.

Black again. I do not want a monochrome black and white character! Leviene whined to whoever is willing to listen. No one of course.

Leviene’s hair did come out alright, a dark purple color. If her ingame hair color was black, she will reroll the first chance she get. Wait a minute. Why is she agonizing over her color scheme when she can just reroll.

FU game glitch. Haha take that!

A swooshing sound alerted the gleeful, yet extremely short Perrian Let to the other characters exiting one of the many other starting point. That guy’s toon came out the way it suppose to be. 6’2”, white wings, no tail.

Ehh, does that mean NPC are just unusually tall?

Leviene scanned the other starting point, trying to looking inside the beam for other characters logging into the game, but all she see are white beams. It seems the characters can look out of the starting point, but no one can look inside. Good. She hated the weird color scheme already. No need to advertise that she is different.

Low level plus different screams this toon has money, come kill it now. After all, the administrators make money by making gamers pay real money for customization.

Leviene remove the plain white tunic every character starts off with, fold her wings under my arms, and put the tunic back on. The wings feels like a corset, but too bulky to emphasize any curves. It didn’t look too bad. The tail was much harder. It wouldn't go in her pants. She tried to move it like she would move her arms. It didn’t work. Leviene debated whether or not she wanted to wrestle with that thing. Nope, not worth the time. Instead she dropped my pants, grabbed the tail, pulling it forward between her legs, manually wrap it around her thighs, then pull her pants back on.

Leviene held the tips of the tail in her hand. Knowing her luck, the extra appendage would unwrap at the most inopportune time.

The compulsion hit Leviene when she stepped out of the beam of light, forcing the small Perrian Let to walk a predetermined path towards the coliseum in a trancelike state. Stupid cutscene. All games have it. It’s that cinematic start to the game developers create to introduce the story, using it to throw out teasers for the general public.

Leviene came back to awareness when her butt hit a hard stone surface. Don’t they know what cushion is? And back support? It’s already hard enough on her backs with the extra weight she gain in the front now she have to carry the weight on her back! Ergonomic wing support chair damn it!

If others noted her wording, yes, she increased her breast size from a B cup to a C cup. What woman wouldn’t when they get the chance. There is a reason why plastic surgeon makes so much money!

“Greetings new citizens of Arashia,” a voice booms from the center stage. “We welcome you all to your new permanent home.

Oh, this can’t be good.
