Meanwhile in border of Polgon and Saisagus was George preparing to leave the place. He most likely have to start explaining everything. His feaver has gone downs so he can arrive soon. He was gathered all eguipment until he noticed some strange movement in the woods.

He took binoculars and started to look into it. What he saw discomfited his hugely. There was huge army walking to the Nothinghill. Three weeks ago army arriving to Tetrao village was only 5000 men strong. It was huge but its only purpose was show difference between their strenghts. It didn´t go like that at that time but now it is different.

There was three armies which each consisted 10000 men. In other words there was going to be huge army with has 30000 men. Saisagus army only consist 50000 men and which also 10000 are part in navy. It was all out attack. Only 10000 men was defending against both Dialkas and Polgon counter attack. Also there wasn´t no telling if country´s inner groups might strike from inside while soldiers are gone. They didn´t think about defence at all.

This wasn´t threat. It was message to tell that they are planning to wipe Polgon kingdom out of the map. Their plan was simple to see. Their vanguard was planning to strike Nothinghill with one lage attack with one hit. They weren´t even thingking that Nothinghill would be threat at all. It was just one part of the plan which ends as quickly as it becomes. Their rearguard was planning to go pass us as we fight.

Nothinghill´s about 1000 men were up against Saisagus 10000 elite soldiers. It didn´t make difference that they got home field vantage point or they have great defensive placement. There was just too great difference between powers.

Normally they would get a change to defend themselves but now things are different. In normal sircumstances they could have stoped enemy´s movement with fear or holding them back until they loss their time to stay there. But this time there was 20000 men going past them. This 10000 men was only going to hold us back so we can´t strike back them. Althought they weren´t going to do so.

10000 vs 1000. This was huge joke. They were clearly going to annihilate both Nothinghill and Tetrao tropes. In fact there wasn´t 1000 men in Nothinghill. There was only about 600 men.

This was different from Tetrao´s border war. Although that time was worst that this (200 vs 5000) but it was manages with misleading, traping, trench warfare and hit-and-run methods. In the future such way of fighting is going to be called as guerrilla war.

This time enemy knows where they are and they can´t leave the place. No such tactics can be used here. Although defences is easier than attack, it still doesn´t change their terrible situation. 1 vs 3 is normal balance when fighting against fortress. At this moment enemy thinks that situation is 1 vs 10 but is is even better to them. How could they loss in such situation?

Fight will last about ten minutes or one hour at best. It doesn´t change the ending. Only how many Saisagus country soldiers survive from it matter to officers. No one thinks they could loss at all. If someone would start to doubt then that person would need desperately some break so (s)he can get his/her mind back to normal.

Nothinghill has always know that this kind of attack was going to happen at some point. For that reason they knew what they should do. Offensive defence was their answer. They make all out defence so that enemy starts to be scared of them which would stop both attack and moral.

If they can keep 10000 men away from the main action for days then it becomes their victory. Keeping one third of enemies away would give Polgon kingdom some change to strike back. Simply plan was not to die. That was all.

George knew this was going to be massacre for them and for Polgon kingdom. At first he was thinking how to keep Tetrao village save. Soon he understood there wasn´t no changing back to past if this was allowed but what one man can do. He was for the first time out of options. Be it sleeping, fighting or what ever he could choose it no longer. He was living completely with Saisagus´ rule. There was no telling what would happen in future. Hope was lost for that moment.

Marquis had seen the same sight as George. He couldn´t give warm welcome which his allies well deserved. Only thing he could give them was real war and front line at that. He has to order and no to welcome them. This saddened him. He was having great time just little while ago. How could things change so quickly?

“I´m sorry. You have to come inside as quickly as possible. Saisagus is going attack at us.” Marquis´word came out clearly but all of it came with doubts. He was pointing his fingers at something far away. Soon it was clear that he talk the truth.

“I understand. I will call everyone here. Hey come inside as quickly as possible! You have to hurry!” His shout came as surprise. Everyone from Tetrao were happy a moment ago but “walkers” sound told them that everything wasn´t so well. They all came inside hurriedly. Soldiers actions from inside told them clearly what was going on. War was coming.

At first they didn´t know what they should do. Well, everyone was like that too. The worst thing in live always happen suddenly and without warning. At least some people thought so. Some where crying, praying, soulless and no one was excited or happy. All kinds of negative emotions where all around them.

This was meant to be exercise. How could something that would have been celebration turn into something like this? Although Albert wasn´t gotten over this but since he just witnessed war by himself, he then could push himself back up. It was frustrating that he had gone over this just little while ago. How can there be someone as unlucky as him?

“Calm down for a moment. I will go ask marquis where we should go. He has highest commanding right in here. You will listen to him. Rest now. You won´t get another time later.” As he said these words to his men, he started to go toward marquis. He was worried about what kind of mindset he possessed currently. He was happy to see marquis was full of spirit although it was spirit of anger to his enemies. That kind of calm anger was scariest of them all. You couldn´t know when it would burst out suddenly. I hope enemies will witness this anger for themselves.

“Sorry that I can´t give you happy welcome. You and your men are needed to guard front gate towers. It would be better that my men are positioned where they are meant to be when we practiced. Those towers would be other wise empty. Could you guard them?” He didn´t have any bad impression of them. He was happy to fight his last moments with them. He has still plans to survive from this. Change was small but it was there.

“Could you also break your blanks for now? I don´t want to loss for same reason as a moment ago. You should avoid direct fighting. You might disrupt our rhythm. Of course you can fire arrows to small single targets. We will deal with all those large groups. You will see how we will fight. Until you know all of our singals then you can fight with us.”

Marquis words were harsh but they were still correct. I don´t know how they fight. They know this place better than we do. We might cause all preparations crumple because of us. One arrow might cause enemies to stop which might cause them avoiding perfect trap. We can´t make such mistakes.

“Of course. We will fight with you.” I have nothing else to say to him. This is enough. At least two of my sons are save. They can survive without me together. I hope George isn´t coming here. Village needs him.

After three minutes after start of the training Tetrao village´s soldiers took over both towers which finalized their victory although now no one could notice this at that moment. Training was over. Real war was in ahead of them.

George was running with all his might. He knew that he could do hardly anything but he has knowledge which has to pass on to the Nothinghill. It was army was avoiding the forest. This wasn´t strange for itself, but things were different for now. They had a way to escape.

After the border war there has been rumor about ferocious wolves. No soldier from Saisagus wants to get close to the woods in here. This was clear to see from the cliff. They got here from the south. This was strange since they would be seen from faraway. Directly from east or from north would be better choices by all ways. People from nothinghill couldn´t see this at all. They just assumed they came from the easiest path to come here.

If they avoided forest because of wolves then there was a change. If enemy losses their only escape road then they have escape as quick as possible. Question was could 600 men do it and survive their escape attack. No commander would give order to leave great defensive ground without valid reason. This wasn´t such moment. This still would give one more option to act. Those options were needed desperately bu marquis. There is difference between I didn´t have a choice and That one was way worse than this one.

Even if there was only two option which to choose from. This was way better than to have only one option. Even if difference between two ways would be large even then it would give right to choose and be glad of his/her choice.

George has gotten close to the Nothinghill but suddenly he saw crowd escaping. This wasn´t strange. It was obvious. They were escaping. Be it south, west or north people were escaping there. People heading south will meet vanguard. People heading west will meet rearguard. People heading north might survive but road isn´t made for purpose of large groups. Crimes will surely arise there.

There was only one strange person how choosed east. Enemy was coming from there. No sane man would go there, but there was one thing which changed George´s mind. Man was Tom who was that strange rider. George then remembered his words which said to his horse.

There was road to north here. They could escape without anyone noticing anything. He also remembered that those bridge workers were clearly looking for someone. Geoge knew then he had all key cards which could change this horrible situation if done correctly.

I need to find them and mislead them to help us. If I can convince them then they will act on their own. I hope they haven´t found the person how they were looking for.

Tom was in fact the person how they were looking for. This will work for sure but George didn´t know this. He was going to approach Tom which would change their lives.

“Sorry to bother you but could you give me a moment?”
