It seems like I got more than I thought from this talk, but the first thing first. I should meet others again. Also I should apologize later my poor planning ahead. I should had thought everything through before meeting them. How should I make it up to them?

Everything was silent. It seems like something happened while I was gone or simply no one was keeping talk going. Later is more likely with this group.

Knock.

I knocked the door and step inside. “Sorry. It took more time I thought but can I ask couple of thing from all of you.”

Next thing I knew was one man stood up in front of me. That person was almost as small as I was. Which is most likely why he was looking upwards at first. After he notice we both were almost same size he couldn´t hold up his suprise.

“Ah. You are even smaller than I am.”

“It seems like so. Was that all you were going to say?” His comment made me angry and irritated by some bit. I can´t believe even he could made that kind of mistake to.

“Sorry. That was totally my fault. I´m the best person how knows how that feels.”

“In that case I´m going ask you first. What is world´s the most important ideology that yourself or people around you should carry around them?”

“I´m sorry. What did you just ask?”

“Put it simply. You should say something that is your most important cornerstone in your life. Without you couldn´t live on. Except the most important thing like family and country. But more like honesty, bravely and so on.” My words made everyone quiet down and concentrate men in front of me. They started pity him. This didn´t help him at all to think the answer.

This kind of situation could make him answer equality like me or open-mindedness. Reason why I answered equality was because people underestimated me and people close to me. Everyone should get a change to prove their worth. Let´s see what he is going to answer.

It didn´t took long time. It seemed like he got his answer from long time ago. Next thing I heard was his word.

“Single-minded.”

What? That was out of no where. People around me were as surprised as I was. Everyone wanted to hear reason for his answer. Soldier also noticed this so he started to explain.

“I have always lived by mind set to achieve only one thing at the time. Maybe because of this I have been brought here. Even still thanks to this I have no regrets from my life.”

I see. We two are completely different. Although I don´t have much regrets but even still I have them. My mind set has always been try to avoid regret no matter what. But he is different, he has lived life without regrets. Only one to achieve this is by doing what he/she thinks is right. Even if they don´t achieve their goal, they can know that they couldn´t have done it by any other way. At least I can´t live like that.

I wasn´t only one silent among the people. Maybe many woke up their minds just now. This person was the best person to ask this question first. No matter how badly or well the next military exercise I can´t forget his achiement just now. I have to ask.

“Could you tell us your name?”

“Of course. I´m Saul Lamies. I´m from coast town of Lamies. Nice to meet you.”

At first eveyone tried to stay quiet but by sometime everyone started to talk together. There is actually many interesting people, but since there is too many people to introduce oneself. It would took time and in the end people would forget about them by the time. At least there isn´t any people staying quietly in the corner.

Saul was the people I connected the most. Because our way of life is completely opposite from each other, even thought our experiences were the same. Our out-look of different situations were almost completely different from each other. Thanks to it I´m planning to put him into second command. He can see things that I can´t. Unfortunately many times we disagree many times. In the flip side we can find problems from our out-looks.

Because we argue quite often there is one man how comes to our middle ground to stop us. He is Richard. He answered with a word “responsibility”. Reason why he was brought here was because he blamed his commanding officer for not taking responsibility for his mistake and put it to some other person. He just couldn´t take it. Thankfully commanding officer was prosecute as guilty for all charges, but damage has already done. No one wants him anymore to their ranks because of his character.

World isn´t always fair. Of course some people were brought here for good reason. Bullying, stealing, spying, blackmailing and some cases murder. You name it. Also some of them might not be same as they tell. I have to be careful around them and trust them with perfect balance. I don´t want to become betrayed by someone I know. Even more so by someone that I don´t know.

Among us is also George from my village. He was my only soldier how is taking a part in the military exercise. He was my only soldier because he brought my son here in the border war. Since he wasn´t a direct part of the war, he can join us.

If people knew that he is one of top soldiers from Tetrao village. Then they would had tried to stop this no matter what. Although he can´t give much help by himself. He can assist viscount to keep going by his encouragement. Also his skills will surely come to good use.

Always the person how seems to be running away isn´t a bad thing. George is perfect example for it. Even if he is away then people knew that behind the scenes he is preparing for everything. With that people can concentrate on one thing at the time while he does the big picture behing from everybody.

I don´t know what is his answer since he is preparing for every possible situation. But no matter what it can´t be nothing bad. I hope everyone can meet each other soon.

Meanwhile close by the Nothinghill. Couple of foot traveled in to the forest silently. As you might have guessed he was George. He has come to research for any clues for their attack. Of course his plan is to find any problems for it defense´s so they could be fixed later date.

Things he is looking for are look-outs, schedule, hidden paths, key points and other recurrent events. Also he is memorizing all surrounding landscape marks for the future.

If war would ever happen here. They would most likely have to come here to give some support. One mouth ago this wouldn´t have been a problem but unintentionally everyone sees Tetrao village as part of Polgon kingdom. It is as if someone had planned this from the very beginning. Of course not. No one could have predicted that village would have been capable of defending themselves so well. Right?

Knowing rumors from this place George could predict that there is high change that there is secret underground path to the fortress. At least he would have build it himself if he lived here. Since even if enemy might find it. It still wouldn´t change anything. It is easy to make that path collapse if enemy enters in it. Question is how could they use this knowledge in to their advantice. That is his main opjective in this plan.

Unfortunately that plan isn´t going well. He was almost found out by three times and got got. Fortunately he could manage to escape undetected but this tells that enemy isn´t taking anything by the change. In other words they aren´t going to make any kind of small or big mistakes at all. In that sense. George´s only change is to give enemy false information. Problem is what kind. There is a change that action might cause whole plan to destruct if it colaid with viscount´s plan. At the same time he have to give him some information before allies arrive here. Exercise has already began.

Currently George is tailing two soldiers in the woods. He can´t tell if they are trying to lure him out or is this a change. In the end there is no way to find that out for sure. If nothing else then I´m glad about that there is people here. From the rumors there was a change that only ghost lived here. Situation would be hopeless if I´m scared of children time story creatures.

Since he could find any sure clue about the trap he choosed to listen them.

“It is strange to patrol here. We hardly ever live the grounds at all these days.”

“Yes. There is many trouble from chemicals, tunnels, bookings and training. At least compared to those we are lucky.”

“I know I started to talk but if spy is near us or marquis then we are in the lot of unnecessary trouble.”

“Sorry you are correct. For the save side we should call alarm for now.”

There was small pause until other man continued. Well enough. This is troublesome but at least there isn´t penalty from marquis. In other case we will suffer our comrade angry faces for weeks. No one wants they night rest to come sudden end.”

“Indeed it is regrettable, but better be save than sorry.”

The next thing I knew was loud horn noise which told me I was in big trouble.
