This is bad. How could they be that careful? I don´t know anybody as patient and calm as men here. I thought my family and viscount are only one´s how play it this save. How can there be someone even more so?

Late wisdom isn´t always good thing. I have to hurry to back up plan. But is it enough?

Forest was now quite lively. Unlike usually now people are running around to find hidden person. Other wise it would be silent with these people but now there are voices. “Did you really see someone? I´m sorry. Let me sleep. Hurry up. Stay quiet.”

Forest was dark since summer is starting to end and people are preparing to the winter. Also there isn´t many pushes or vegetation. There for it is hard to hide even if it is night. These people could find even small bird from the ground. There is no way they could miss me if not done something. Good thing I came prepared.

People though that there wasn´t anyone here, but there is military exercise currently occurring here. So they took their all with this. In the end it is easy to find if someone is here. Since there isn´t hardly any vegetation here. There for people can´t hide in here.

Suddenly they saw something that proved them wrong. There was dozen of people standing around. No one could react what they saw. They though that they saw wrong.

After sometime one person yelled. “How are you? Name yourself right now.”

But no answer came. Soon the same person yelled. “We are firing on you if you won´t say anything.” No answer came. So one person got near one of the people and he noticed something. “They are puppets.”

This alarmed everyone. This was deversion. They are trying to attack right now. They are trying to make them waste time here. We mush hurry back.

There was no need to say this aloud since everyone could figure this out. Of course they didn´t go back. They started to check every single one. Someone might be among them.

Actually that exactly was the case. George was one of those “puppets”. Of course he had back up plan for even this, but he wasn´t mentally prepared for this.

He had rope tied to big rock which he had carried on top of the tree. With simple twist it would easily fall from the tree and alarm everyone, but he was late with his timing. People were approaching and one of them choosed me.

Of course rock fell but person in front of me hurriedly started look at me. It was easy to find that he was preparing for attack. They might have though someone had thrown some rope to the wall and is starting to climb with it. But it is useless, he is looking at me. It is over.

Or not. My eye were closed so I didn´t see him, but he is starting to leave this place. Could it be he didn´t notice that I was human? No. There is no way that I´m that invisible. There is no way. Wait a moment. Maybe he is ally. All these though came to me suddenly but it is useless figure out the truth since my eye were closed. In any case. I´m still save. But this was to close. How could I made this kind of mistake. If anybody else were to look at me they would had noticed me. I was lucky and nothing else.

Even though George managed to stay hidden his mentality has taken huge damage. If this goes on then he is going to be noticed no matter what later. And he knew that too. He couldn´t continue anymore. He might not be part of this exercise any longer. Viscount wouldn´t never sent someone like me even if it is training.

There for he though. Should I keep this as secret? Should I reveal myself? Should I tell the truth. Or something else.

In other word this scouting exercise was horrible loss. Even if he tells everything he knows, it won´t change the fact that his career might have just ended.

“What were you doing? One of those must have been a real human being. And you lost him. I know that this is just exercise, but even then it is exercise. And these mistakes must be fixed in the future. Be prepared for it.”

“Yes. We understand. This won´t happen again.”

“I hope so too.”

Marquis had finally arrived to the main hall. He is going to prepare for this exercise. Normally he would had let his son deal with the situation, but he won´t let his son bear all responsibility for it. He had heard what had happened. Although he didn´t blame his men for their mistake. Since they moved by correct manner. Of course his mind would change if he knew that someone had watched the spy.

“For now we should stop senting people looking around randomly. You should rest for now. We will consentrate on defense for now. Also remember seal of underground path right away. We don´t want to make enemy think any bad ideas.”

“Should we bury the path or just prepare for it?” His son wasn´t sure should they destroy the path or just show that they are prepared of it if needed.

“Second one of course. The way how spy act tells me they won´t do anything stupid. It is just in case. We don´t know for sure if he saw the tunnel.”

“Understood.”

Nexty thing what happened was preparations to make tunnel collaps by simple rope and wood materials. For in case they made sure there is going to be some air hole so people won´t be buried alive. That would be just terrible. This way no one would blame themselves if tunnel would fall for the people.

Meanwhile outside the forest. George has taken some time to rest and get at ease. He is finally capable of some decent thought. Although he hasn´t forgive him his carelessness. He is even more so capable of dealing with the situation. Result of his thought was he can´t do this alone. He need comrades how he could trust and are capable of keeping up with him. Like Sepro and Herman. They both canback each other up but in the same time they can disagree. Thanks to these qualities they could trust each others judgement. I want someone like that.

In the past he thought that Aled would be that person. But in the end they are completely different and not a good way. Althought Aled found out his talent and he was the one how found him from the loneliness. In the other side Aled considers him as useful tool. Although he doesn´t think that way exactly, it doesn´t change thefact. They are good friend but not comrades how could back each other equally. It is going to be give and take relationship.

Albert Rowan is meeting our new comrades and knowing him they all are going to be fine. I´m only one how is going behind. I have to catch up to them but how.

George had finally figured out his problem. He had always thought people might work together to achieve their common goal, but at the end they will part away. Although in some cases that is true but when it is about people you care about thing go differently. He had always been alone. He was his family´s youngest child. Since then he had lived behind invisible barrier. No one could come inside neighter nothing came outside. This has been slowly been fixed but it doesn´t change the fact that barrier still exist.

Even if he knew now what is the problem, he can´t change it. Since it is part of his soul by now. Good thing is it is part of his soul. It doesn´t have to be changed. It is part of him and he have to accept it as it is. He will always doupt people and it is difficult to get them near him. Even still this actually makes the first person how manages to destroy that barrier his best friend and comrade how he could trust his live to.

Now his eyes had opened, but problem is for the first time in his live he had no idea what to do next.

In the Nothinghill everything was locked. No one could move around without someone knowing about it. This was clear scene of well prepared lock down. But this isn´t anything strange for that place. It is almost always like this.

Reason why there could be so many soldiers is because those people are commonly known as hunters or trapers. They can´t earn all of their livehood without extra pay. As for how marquis can pay for them comes from his businesses.

Some of business are quite average like salt, sucker, honey, grain and fur, but in the darker side these is experiments of unknown powder which we know as gunpowder.

Reasoning for him staying always inside comes from some assassination attempts and one other reason. Normally in these situations everyone should try to move as freely as they can but not this situation. There is a change of behind the scenes there could happen real attack.
