It was normal night but there was one difference. Everything was quiet in Nothinghill. Actual activity was actually way bigger than normally. Previously people thought about maybe there wasn´t any soldiers stationed there, but now everyone knows the place is full of soldiers ready to launch defensive counter attack against any kind of attack.

It was announced that war exercise would start in two weeks time and now is the last day of that time limit. Everyone thought this was made in purpose. This was made for purpose to tire out soldiers.

Their enemy had actually arrived just one day ago and they heard about the training just one week ago. They haven´t got hardly any times to prepare. It was clear that they were ordered to do the impossible. Only good thing was Nothinghill didn´t know about it.

Nothinghill had prepared for armies which consist over hundred men per group. No one was thinking just twenty people was going for attack plan. Even they had thought that their group had twenty-two personel. Only George knew he had been counted two times.

Their only change is to strike with small quick attack before anyone knows what is going on. Normally soldiers would try to approach with ladders but their plan would be noticed and counter attacked. Defenders could throw rocks and boiling oil or water depending on financing. Something so direct could be dealt with at ease. Even more so with just against twenty people.

If defenders would know this then they would defend all sides equally, but now most soldiers are preparing to relocate their groups as training continues. In other words soldiers are staying inside the walls on the ground. It is normal to do things this way. Most soldiers could rest and tired soldiers can withdraw to rest with moment notice. Also defending attacks from one direction will become a lot easier.

Marquis knows that defending in battle is about how to react against enemy actions. In that sense if he manages to figure out enemy´s plan then victory will become certainty. He just have to do opposite what enemy commander think he will do. This same goes with him but his case is different. Attacking in battle is most about striking where it hurts the most. Marquis is confident that there isn´t any such place here. Of course he won´t let his guard down. Enemy won´t necessary play with the rules.

Right next to forest surrounding the Nothinghill, group of soldiers is approaching with small and careful movement. It is clear they are the enemy they are going up against. They seem to want to talk first before anything starts. It would be rude to ignore them as they reveal themselves so openly.

“Could you order someone to call out to them? Also improve defence in other walls as this could be diversion. We don´t want to loss against something so simple. But don´t forget to prepare against attacks from where they came.”

There is no need to pretent that there isn´t anyone here. Any scout would have noticed this from long ago. That scarecrow man could be with them. We can´t let our guard down. Someone how hides in front of us won´t come out with normal actions. I wouldn´t be surprised even if they would fly in here. Maybe not but even still. For in case I should look up. What is that?

There was strange unknown flying object in the sky. By some part it stayed around the same place behind the forest. It wasn´t very high but high enough to be seen by men on the ground. From the first look people might mistake it as eagle or hawk but is was made from non living things.

That unknown flying object or UVO (if you may) was kite made by Albert Rowan. He had been seen his son Herman making it in the past. It was back in time when Herman and Sepro were looking way to communicate between long distances. In the end they made bullroarer but kite was one prototype. Problem was danger of thunder, too slow/heavy winds, fog, silence and problems of seeing it.

Bad aspect of kite over waged its positive aspects. Simply changes were high all signals might be lost or unnoticed. As a same time there wasn´t no quick way to make sure message was reseaved. Bullroarer fixed all this but even still good aspects of it hasn´t been vanished. They were I fact the most optimal way for this moment. There was just one problem. Marquis has noticed it way before than wanted.

“What is that?” This time he asked aloud but no one noticed this because everyone were looking for any men approaching them and messengers right ahead of them. No one took notice of their leaders guestion. Even if they had heard it, tey couldn´t have managed to know what it was.

Marquis noticed his words went to deaf ears. He knew that this was surely part of their enemy´s plans. They must stop giving any changes to them which they can expect. This isn´t good. I have no idea what they are planning.

Marquis knew that first thing was calm down. Nothing can be done well if person is panicing. This is even more so when you are commander. If you act panicing then men below you also act like that.

Soon after he had calmed down enough to measure things. That UVO can´t be directly a part of attack. Otherwise it would be closer to us. It is also just high enough to be seen. It wasn´t something to be meanted to be seen by us. It is good thing that it was seen by me, I think.

Next thing enemy isn´t holding anything alike of ladder in their hands. Also when soldiers are ordering them to drop them, they let go their weapons. This can´t be any part of that UVO.

In which case I should look what kind of strange thing are in that object. From the first look it isn´t either noticable or unnoticable. It was just plain thing across of cliff. That cliff was made from rapids from border river between Polgon and Saisagus. There isn´t any people around there. How could there be something flying there? Maybe I´m mistaking it. There isn´t any prove of it is part of attack.

Secondly that thing is in east from us and those soldiers are coming from south. At least those two places can´t communicate without problems. I should just stop worry about something which I can´t even do anything about. In which case I should consentrate on those soldiers.

At that moment Marquis would have seen light which had reflected from glass. There was soldier known as George looking at Marquis with binoculars. He was looking for perfect moment to start the operation.

He had crossed the border thanks to bridge building which gave him change to enter Saisagus undetected. Thanks to this he got perfect lookout spot for spying from afar. He was using one of Tetrao village´s new invention. Even without anyone saying he knew how were two who invented it were.

Thanks to all knowledge gaining he could tell how was leader of that group? He also could see kite flying around George. Because of it he couldn´t do any actions for a while. His purpose was to make kite fall from sky when attack would start. Now when leaders had took his eye a way from me was best moment to do so.

War training started at that moment without Nothinghill knowing about it. In just one minute Nothinghill was deceived and two minutes later victory became certain. But unknow to them they made horrible mistake which will bite their ass in ten years later.

This day was considered as perfect victory against all odds. Unlike them history knew this was mistake which had been noticed after great war had already started.

As a meanwhile Saisagus country had prepared for an attack against Polgon kingdom. This attack was planned even before of border war. Actual main point of that attack was make count Ben suffer certain defeat and make defences suffer in south continent. This plan couldn´t have gone any better. This is their perfect change to cut Polgon kingdom apart to two piece. King and his whole family is in North in Tetrao village.

Their plan is to take over Orseas capital when defences are in their weakest. If they manage to do so they can obtain whole south part in one strike. This make room to the people and food to their needs.

Although years wasn´t so bad in term of last harvest, it still wasn´t enough. Even more so now. The most important harvest supplier Polgon kingdom hasn´t done any mayor business ever since border war.

Thanks to these leaders of Saisagus has gained their people support for their military campain. It is unknow how was starter of this plan but it definitely gave them change to improve their powers. No one isn´t willing to give up this change.

It is shame that count ben has lost his forces and future powers for this cause without him knowing anything about it. But he have been unnecessary lucky ever since he gave commanding right to common man. Henrik should face defeat for once. He is becoming cocky.

He had rose over countless battles between small tribes but always against outnumbered enemies. He had rosen literaly from the mud and continues to improve without slowing down.

Weed should be thrown away before it releases it seeds. Unbeknown to them they should have taken weed out with all of its roots. He can grow again and even stronger than then.

This defeat had woken up his fighting spirit even stronger. He had come to understand even with great moral he can´t face every enemy he meets. He is come to understand that mind games and deceive are skill which should be done without hesitation. He had come to conclusion he should look into all information which could become asset in the future. He came to understand border war wasn´t war which was intended to be won. They were made to loss but how was responsible for it.

He didn´t have clear picture what was going behind his back. But at same time he wasn´t willing to throw away his trust to his men. Many had suffered because of his mistakes. Many people had moved to Dialkas with uncertain mind. Could they survive out there? He had made his mind to give them change to come back if they are willing. But first he have to find out what was going on in the south.

Of course he had to find out with his own eyes. And with so two future greats meet for a first time although they were then enemies in the future they showed unwavering friendship.
