"Okay. So, what are our plans for tomorrow?"
All five of them gathered in a private room and began discussion on what they need to do tomorrow.
"Our first priority should be to gather intel on all the formidable teams and especially dangerous teams and prepare counter-measures against them."
Seilleen proposed.
"There's at least 800 teams participating. That's too much work. We can't possible gather enough intel on all of them."
Serra interjected.
"Then, what do you propose we do?"
She retorted.
"Our first priority should be to gather information on the match-ups. That way, we know who we'd fight."
"Oh."
"However, they haven't released the match-ups yet."
Luisa spoke.
"In that case, we should wait. When will they release it?"
This story has been stolen from Royal Road. If you read it on Amazon, please report it
Serra asked.
"They would need a week after registrations are finished to arrange the match-ups."
Luisa replied.
"Then, how about we practice our coordination and tactics while we gather some intel on the strongest teams who are expected to win?"
Serra proposed.
"Well, it's better than just gathering intel on all of them."
"Speaking of which..."
Serra recalled something.
"How will the battles proceed?"
He asked.
"Well, the rounds are different each time. They hold a number of matches each day. To ensure things proceed faster, each of the 800 teams will face another team in an elimination round. After the elimination round ends, there should be 400 teams left. They'll hold another elimination round turning that number into 200. Afterwards, the 200 are given ranks depending on their performance."
Luisa explained.
"Ranks?"
"Yes, ranks. That's why some teams go all out in the elimination rounds. The 200 teams are given ranks befitting their strenght and performances. Then, we're given one month to battle out and determine the final ranking."
"Final ranking?"
"Correct. Each team is allowed to challenge another rank ten ranks above them. So, the 200th team can challenge up to the 190th team. If they win, they become the 190th ranked team while the defeated team becomes the 191th team and the others below them move down accordingly."
"I see..."
Serra now understood the how the battles would go.
"Well then, our plans have already been decided. It's time to rest."
Lilia proposed.
"Alright. Let's go."
Everyone agreed and left to go their own rooms.
Serra went to his room but silently left in the night.
As a precaution, he left a clone that looked exactly like him in there.
He made it to guard the girls he's fighting with.
"It wouldn't do at all if something happened to them and we wouldn't be able to fight. I do enjoy myself after all."
He said to himself and left.
