Author's Note

Good evening everyone. I say good evening mainly because it's currently evening where I'm in. First of all, I'm very grateful to everyone who read my story and supported me. I'm also grateful to SOUFDEBOEF and XENOFIXUS for their reviews. I learned a lot in this novel. And I realized how much mistakes I made in making this novel.

Making a novel is similar to cooking. Novels and stories are food for the mind. We can't help but savor it like we would our favorite dish. There are different flavors as well... Bitter flavors of Tragedy and Horror, Bittersweet flavors of Romance, Savory flavors of Adventure and many more.

While such flavors are indeed delicious, they also need a delicate touch in making them. Authors are like cooks. When making a dish, they need the proper cooking tools, seasoning and considerations for their customers. Failing to properly handle the food leads to disaster such as what I did.

I didn't prepare the setting carefully enough... I made light of wuxia novels. My naive thoughts could be considered like this... "Since I'm writing a wuxia novel where the mc has already reached the apex, there's no need to create a proper cultivation system.".

You might be reading a stolen copy. Visit Royal Road for the authentic version.

And I payed the price for it. During my novels, I found that a cultivation system needs to be systemized with increasing difficulty in each step and enough complexity for the need for research and study. If the only thing one needs to do is work hard without the need for combat and other resources, then doesn't that mean anyone and everyone can reach the apex? No, I need it to be more difficulty. Mysterious and complex otherwise it'll be ridiculous. What I did was realize my mistake and attempt to fix it and ended up with a system with a combination of Coiling Dragon and Heavenly Jewel Change mechanics...

How did it come to this...?

I also failed a bit when making the mc nature. I wanted him to a mild and friendly youth but ended up with a bland personality... Hm... Aside from dialogue, character natures and other stuff, I guess I don't have much left to add.

Well then, that's enough from me. Thank you once more for everything. I hope to meet you again on my next novel... Also, please check Malicious Empress Redemption. It's a oneshot novel I made after some inspiration from Yoraikun.
