Chapter 24: Conclusion of the crisis

After Serra finished explaining everything, he left the meeting room.

He left the same way he came, disappearing into a blue light.

One by one, the leaders of the human race gazed at Lucas in a meaningful way before bading farewell and departing to fufill their tasks.

Finally, Lucas was left alone.

A few moments after the last guest left, Lucas burst out in laughter.

"Hahahahaha... This is truly magnificent. Our Recquir Clan is rising to become the leader of this world... Truly a blessing from heaven..."

Lucas was a man who never had a great ambition. Only wishing to fulfill his duties and be a good father to his children.

For this reason, he's only had a few wives and was never too extravagant or too ridiculous.

But now... With the power to rule over the world at his fingers, how could he calm down!?

Serra has little interest in mundane matters and would most definitely leave it to him.

This story originates from Royal Road. Ensure the author gets the support they deserve by reading it there.

However, he didn't do this just because Lucas was his descendant.

He peered through Lucas soul and knew that although he can be overwhelmed with excitement...

"I should bring out that Thousand-Year White Grape wine... But I shouldn't get carried away. I'll celebrate and make sure to do my duties well."

He is an intelligent man and wouldn't be swayed by his greed or ambition and do what is right.

Serra truly has great foresight.

He knew this man had what it takes to be a wise king.

"Master, please have some more."

Currently, in his room, Syrene was there serving Serra with some fine wine.

"How pleasant."

Serra remarked as he sipped the wine.

"Speaking of which, how is Maia?"

"Oh, that little girl? She's rooted in the garden saying she likes it there."

"Oh."

The garden of the Recquir Palace had many rare spirit flowers that brimmed with elemental essence. It was paradise for plant-type demonic beasts like her.

Paying her no more mind, Serra began sipping his wine and enjoying the flavor.

"Well now... I'll begin teaching that Demon Lord at sometime later... For now, I should pay my disciples a visit..."

"Master, you're leaving?"

"Just a short visit. Why don't you come with me?"

This made Syrene overjoyed.

She was always resentful at not being able to follow her master.

"Of course I will!"

"Haha, good girl."

Serra patted her head.

"Should I also bring some of my descendants along?"

Serra pondered.

It might be a good experience but they might be busy...

I should ask Lucas.

Serra thought to himself.

"But I'll enjoy some more fine wine first."

There's no need to hurry. I'll stay around for some time before I go.

Serra regretted this decision a few days later when his wife arrived.
