Before Serra, there were hundreds, thousands of vines that lashed out as whips surging towards him from all directions.
Yet before them, he remained composed.
As if, he's just taking a small exercise after a meal.
He emitted an aura as unmoveable as the mountain, as vast as the sky as unfathomable as the seas.
"It doesn't matter how many of these there are."
He spoke calmly.
"Speak as arrogantly as you can human. You're going to die either ways."
The vines were nearing him.
These vines would definitely tear him to shreds. It doesn't matter what his cultivation is. Even an Emperor would die with this attack.
Maya sneered.
But, there was a faint feeling of fear within her.
What's with this feeling...? Am I afraid...? Do I feel that it won't reach?
Furious, she shook off those thoughts.
"To be able to unleash power to this degree, you must indeed be a Rank 10 Demonic Beast. Given your appearance, you must be a Queen Rafflesia. One that's lived for over ten thousand years..."
Serra gave a calm assessment of her.
"But no matter, all things shall freeze before me."
With but a thought, a massive torrent of power surged forward.
With that power, he gave the surging vines a gentle touch.
The vines stopped.
"What!?"
Maya exclaimed.

Slowly, that vine began to turn white.
"Its... Freezing...?"
Indeed, that vine froze.
The ice spread to the surroundings immediately and froze all the vines within moments.
Maya widened her eyes and opened her tiny mouth in shock.
"Shatter."
With that one word, as if heeding that one command, the thousands of vines frozen shattered.
Maya fell to her knees.
She was frozen in fear and was trembling.
"Now then... Will you follow me? Or will you shatter like glass like the vines?"
Servitude or death.
That was what was implied.
After thinking for a moment, Maya knelt before him.
"I will serve you."
As of this moment, the Queen of Balt Forest is no more.
"A wise choice."
Serra smiled amiably.
"Now then... Tell me about the world of Sierra."
----------------------------------------
The world of Sierra.
In the past, there were seven continents. Astlan, Keifer, Iroro, Black Death, Purgis, Meis and Zordia.
It was the golden age of cultivation where numerous powers contested for the world.
It was a terrifying battle where the strong cried tears of joy and the weak could only weep as they were born in the wrong era.
It was a savage era. Filled with numerous mighty cultivators as numerous and as common as the clouds.
In that savage era, the continents of Keifer, Meis and Iroro were destroyed.
Astlan, Black Death, Purgis, Meis. The continents that survived weren't left untouched and had lands destroyed in the conflict.
In the end, no one won the battle for supremacy as all the powerful cultivators perished in battle against one another.
A dark age followed for thousands of years until finally, an old sect grew to to power and seized the world.
That sect grew to an empire and under it's rule, the world prospered.
That empire was known as the Recquir Empire.
And the sect was known Flowing Spring Sect.
The empire flourished after thousands of years but gradually weakened due to various reasons.
It still exists today in the Astlan continent.
Currently, there is a war going on in the world.
The demonic beasts that possessed intelligence, hoped to conquer the world.
To counter this, the humans all formed an alliance and are still struggling against them to this day.
Althought conflicts exists here and there, it's still relatively peaceful with a good balance.
----------------------------------------
"I see... So it still exists."
Serra sighed.
He felt happy that his home, his sect still existed.
But he was saddened that his continent, Meis, was destroyed.
"Maya, where are we right now then?"
"We are at the Balt Forest, located in the Black Death continent, master."
Although Maya acted rude and arrogant before, she was now meek and quiet right now.
She wouldn't dare act disrespectful towards her master now.
"Hmm... I believe I'll pay my home a visit first then."
With a wave of his hand, a blue aura manifested around Maya and Serra.
"For now, I think I'll pay the rulers of the Black Death continent a small visit."
I'm curious on how powerful the strongest beings are in the world today. While I'm at it, I might as well take a few more servants since it would be inconvenient without some.
With this line of thought, Serra left for the capital of the Black Death continent.
