Chapter 25: Aura Autumn

Demon Lord's Palace.

Serra stood before the Demon Lord with Syrene beside him.

"Excellent work. You've finally taken the first step."

Serra said approvingly.

The Demon Lord laughed.

He's struggled hard in that world...

Serra created a mini-world where time was accelerated greatly.

It made the few days a few thousand years for the Demon Lord...

But it was worth it.

The Demon Lord made the first step after the Emperor Realm.

"I've fulfilled part of my promise to you. Now that you've reached this realm, I'll pass this onto you."

Serra gathered plenty of elemental essense in his hand.

The light was blinding and gathered at rapid speed towards his hand.

"This spear, is the Trishula Spear. It will serve you well."

The light took shape of an ornamental blue spear and it floated towards the Demon Lord.

The Demon Lord took the spear in his hand and raised it high.

"Hahaha... Excellent... Such power..."

The Demon Lord rejoiced.

He clearly felt the great power within this spear.

"The promise has been kept as you've upheld you're agreement. Congratulations. You're quite talented among Demonic Beasts."

Serra spoke in praise.

He smiled.

"You should rest and refine your strenght."

Serra then left with Syrene leaving him alone.

The Demon Lord sat and began meditating immediately.

"Haha... My homeland is quite more interesting than the Higher Planes."

Serra spoke while in flight.

"I'll head back to the castle now."

Serra intended to build a castle for himself as his own residence but since he was leaving for a short time, he'll build it when he returns afterwards.

He's already arranged things with Lucas.

"Speaking of Lucas... He's done well."

Serra thought of that stern descendant of his.

He took charge and seized benefits for his clan but wasn't too overbearing and took a reasonable amount.

This left the other clans with good enough benefits for them to claim with left none dissatisfied.

"It's far better to live in harmony indeed."

Serra thought to himself.

"Oya? I'm here."

Serra saw the castle in sight and descended.

He could have arrived in an instant but Serra preferred to feel the wind while in flight instead.

Since he's reached the pinnacle, it's pointless to rush.

"And I'm here..."

Serra then started walking slowly with Syrene towards his room to enjoy some more wine but fate did not allow it.

"SERRA!!! COME ON OUT WHEREVER YOU ARE!!!"

A tremendous, powerful and overbearing voice filled with arrogance resounded throughout the world nearly breaking the eardrums of some people.

Serra's face paled immediately.

He let out a sigh and said.

"Syrene, stay back for a bit."

"Wait, master, is that an enemy!?"

Syrene spoke in worry.

"No, it's not. But I'd rather it be an enemy instead."

Serra spoke bitterly which left Syrene wondering.

While the living creatures were panicking, Serra soon reached the owner of that voice.

"Sigh... Aura... Why is the Autumn Sovereign here causing a ruckus...?"

He saw a beautiful young girl with hair the color of autumn.

She was truly beautiful.

Upon seeing him, Aura rushed towards Serra.

"Of course, it's to see you!"

She happily hugged Serra with a strong tackle.

Serra put on a troubled smile but resisted this blow.

"If you're going to hug me... Why can't you do it normally...?"

He complained.

"Hmph, the only one with the right to become my husband is someone who can take my hug at full power!"

She explained in a self-righteous manner.

"Aura...You..."

Serra looked even more troubled but let it slide.

"Still, hubby, you should have told me yourself that you're going back to your home! I would have been able to introduce myself properly."

"Why would you do that...? They're not my parents, just my descendants..."

Serra complained.

"And...I want to visit your mother's grave."

That line silenced Serra.
