Despite being in the middle of three beautiful assassins, Nigel felt cold and lonely. His previous night’s excursion into a hidden sanctuary. Nigel and his female protectors took the snowmobile and headed north. They had waited several hours for Dahlia, but traveled north when he didn’t show. Cell phone coverage was nonexistent in the wilderness. Nigel hoped they would help soon.
“There’s a lodge just ahead,” Blanka said as she slowed the snowmobile.
Eva readied a gun. Vedrana put a hand on her Katana.
“We don’t want to attract attention,” Nigel said.
“Too much has changed to trust strangers,” Eva said.
“This will be a good place to fortify for the winter,” Vedrana said.

Are they talking about killing everyone?
“Perhaps we should inspect,” Blanka said.
The lodge was massive, a lake and boating dock were nearby. A few vehicles were in front of the lodge.
“I bet they are waiting for someone to check in. I have some money, I will get us rooms—”
“Quiet. Something is off,” Vedrana said as she opened the passenger door and leaped out while the vehicle was moving. Nigel was both horrified and impressed at the moves Vedrana made to leap from the vehicle and conceal herself. Moments later, Eva did the same. Blanka stopped the vehicle. Nigel stared in disbelief as Eva and Vedrana got into position. They used hand signals to communicate. He was impressed at how well they worked together. It was like they had done this work their entire life. Nigel had a move to follow, and Blanka put a hand over his.
“Let them work. This is what they do best.”
Nigel watched as the assassins blended into the scenery.
“Do you think Jet’s still alive?” Nigel said.
Blanka didn’t respond. She just stared into the snowy landscape. Nigel was about to ask again when she looked deeply into his eyes. He was about to speak, but couldn’t. He just got lost gazing into her hazel eyes.
