Her existence was a carefully orchestrated scheme - an experiment, ended with a failed invasion.
The humanoid dark beasts at the pinnacle of the dark realm hierarchy cared little for the weaklings below. They lived contentedly in their realm of darkness, uninterested in venturing into a world filled with light. In fact, their strength was such that the portal leading to other world rejected them. Only a few among them, driven by a desire for challenge, attempted to forcefully open these portals.
The top-tier dark beast harbored no interest in other world. However, for those they deemed weaklings – beings who could easily become powerful in a world bathed in light – the prospect of conquering such a realm was enticing. The notion of becoming the strongest in a world of light appeared somewhat delusional in the eyes of the superior dark beast.
Yet, within the expansive darkness, there were exceptions. Certain humanoid dark beasts, possessing intelligence and cunning, were considered weaklings in the hierarchy’s base.
Her creator, her master, was one of those weak but ambitious humanoid dark beasts.
The master was weak, refusing to accept this reality, desperately seeking a way to become strong. Unable to find a path to strength within the dark realm, it set its sights on the world of light designed for humans with magic. Gathering non-humanoid dark beasts, it formed a gang and initiated its investigation into the other world, scheming to conquer it. While others simply acted on their instincts to destroy and claim territory, the master aspired to be the king in the world of light.
The gateway in the other world appeared concealed, irregular, and took the inhabitants of that world by surprise. However, in the dark realm, it was a fixed gate. Any dark beast with a desire for an easier life could access the other world at will, as long as they could locate the portal.
Thus, the humanoid yet weak dark beast meticulously observed the world bathed in light day by day, eventually deciding to seize and obliterate all the FayOra Stones within it. With the stones removed, no force would be able to thwart its plans, and it would reign supreme, as the magic users in that world would revert to being weaklings without the power of FayOra.
Under its command, the dark beasts’ attacks became organized and strategic. For nearly twenty years, the dark beasts of its gang struck directly at the Mages, managing to kill six of them and destroy four FayOra Stones. It was elated, convinced that its plan was succeeding and that it would sson conquer the human world. However, all its efforts ended in failure.
The tale has been illicitly lifted; should you spot it on Amazon, report the violation.
About ten years ago, the Precaria Gem Squad was formed and made their debut. Their power seemed destined to counteract the plot of the dark beast. The strategies and plan devised by the dark beast crumbled in the face of the Precaria Gem Squad’s might, leaving it outmaneuvered and outplayed.
Just as it was about to lose its temper, a brilliant idea stuck. The master utilized some FayOra from the dark world to create five characters identical to the members of the Precaria Gem Squad – same appearance, same personalities, same powers, down to every details it had observed. These meticulously crafted impostors even emitted the same glow as the real Squad because of the FayOra stones embedded within their bodies.
Thus, the famous battle between the real Precaria Gem Squad and their dark doppelgängers took place nine years ago.
The genuine Squad, young and inexperienced, proved no match compared for their dark counterparts, who were born and trained in the violence of the dark realm. However, with the backing of the Special Mage Armed Force, another forty-three Mages stood ready to support them. With assistance from seven additional Mages, the dark versions of the Precaria Gem Squad were ultimately defeated. Enraged, the master rushed into the human world and met its demise at the hand of the Mages.
As mentioned earlier, despite having a humanoid form, the master was indeed just a weak dark beast.
The termination of dark versions of the Percaria Gem Squad left four FayOra stone at the scene, with the last one broken and only half of it recovered. The Special Mage Armed Force, which had lost four stones in the past, regained its number. The fifty-two Mages continued to serve as a barrier against the invasion from the dark world, and the remaining half of the FayOra Stone was kept as a remnant in the Headquarters.
This marked the end of the failed invasion orchestrated by a humanoid beast, whose name remained unknown. Recorded in modern history, those above thirty years old vividly remembered the epic battle. Days where everyone was afraid to go out due to the threat of the dark versions were etched into the collective memory.
He remembered it too, as the battle took place the day before his exam. The day of victory was a celebration worldwide, holidays were announced, and his exam was postponed until the following week. He recalled his apprehension about going out and feeling insecure due to his lack of proficiency in self-taught magic, unsure of what to do if he encountered a dark beast.
He never would have thought that the other half of the FayOra Stone was still alive.
It was her. Trapped in the gap between both worlds for nearly nine years, she finally escape with most of her powers lost, only half of the stone remaining in her body to sustain her. The last scene she could recall was her team retreating from their near defeat, running for their lives toward the portal to the dark realm. She thought only a few seconds had passed, anticipating the next order from her master, though the purpose behind such orders eluded her.
She didn’t expect to find her comrades gone, so do her master that crafted her.
Leaving her alone, in a world she not recognized.
