That bear is so gonna get it, it tried to jab its claws up my chin. I swear even if I didn’t have a new bloodline I aint risking it. Especially since my current one builds the body from the legs up. I jumped up as it tried to punch me in the stomach. If this thing had a name on earth it’d probably be called a Boxing Bear. Sure I adjusted to my sealed power but it wasn’t exactly my fault a certain AI forgot it double check who’s bloodline it was. So here I was getting used to dodging with my sealed speed at a bear’s level.
I mean my only other sparring partner is Ava. Being with her for hundreds and hundreds of years she doesn’t know how to hold back. My eyes went wide when I saw the bear duck his head backward with his body bending when I tried to kick him. The very same way how a boxer would at that angle when someone tries to elbow their head. Annoyed by him trying to punch me many times I just kicked him with my right leg without caring how much force I put in. I didn’t mind when the trees broke from the body blow.
Although I blinked when I heard the grey bear roar at me after its body destroyed 16 trees. Well it survived that pretty well. At least I know the animals on this planet is more likely to survive than the ones on earth. But it really hits me hard how Iris said that the original bloodline owner is so adaptable to her surroundings.
“At least she can make skills on the spot and easily hone them into perfection within seconds while fighting.” (Iris)
I’m in middle of battle don’t compare me to a battle junkie genius who has only a 5 second interval to breathe when outside of the abyss. I came out of my thoughts due to the bear charging at me with his punches. Rather I don’t even want to know which idiot taught it boxing now. Humans can be rather odd if they raised a young cub this way. I wonder what humans on earth would say to see a bear even do boxing to such an extent. He tried to jab me as in my own thoughts. A smirk came onto my face, if he thinks I’m distracted I’m not entirely distracted as he wants.
Instead I’ll test my kantana at him. My quick draw of Tengoku no Ryu on him. Well I’ll try to control my strength in my legs as I do so. I pulled my sword and sheath from my spacial ring. Which got the bear angry he’s roaring at me. Not like I know animal language so that’s out.
“He’s actually saying how it’s unfair for an opponent to draw a weapon on a one one battle barehanded.” (Iris)
I rolled my eyes at the bear as I put my right hand on my kantana. I quickly pulled it out of my sheath and blocked the incoming punch. Right the bear is stunned at this. Why am I not surprised, it’s because it’s another world. Who am I to judge him for being able to box. Once I eat him I’ll probably know how and why he knows how to anyway. I hate when someone messes up my quick draw also.
As a response I slammed my body weight into my kantana as I pushed him back. I can’t read bear expressions but from body language and that confused growl I can tell he was confused by how I can do so with my kantana. A smile came onto my face as I go back to my stance of Quick Draw. Tengoku no Ryu was actually taught to me once but I didn’t exactly understand it back when I was a summoned hero. The winged race created it but the why the made it was more confusing. It’s other name is Heavenly Dragon style.
Only difference is I combined it with the kantana to adjust. I used the 9 dragon slash style where the sword slash would come at a person at 9 different angles. Too bad I can’t recreate the image of a dragon like the winged race. That is full mastery of the skill at the Sword Realm. Of course I added my own and refined the style into my own with the kantana over the centuries. A sword skill with the use of quick draw to end the battle easily and quickly.
I’m sure the Japanese would love the style if it were brought to them. The bear tried to block my slashes as I resheath my kantana. Instead he came out with wounds on his arms and body. There’s no hate for the bear but it’s food. I couldn’t hold back my bloodlust towards him. Which caused it to shiver.
“As my host can’t you at least hold back your bloodlust, it’s almost as if an ancient monster broke loose in the forest and is out to hunt. Are you trying to scare away other preys.” (Iris)
I rolled my eyes at her words but I can tell what she meant. The bear is shivering in just fear alone from me letting out my bloodlust. Plus my hunger would probably get me if I didn’t hold it back by sweets. Judging from what Iris said about my race cravings I’d probably have to ease it in a community of humans or other races if I don’t want to be hunted down. Had enough of that with Ava back then I don’t want the whole world against our current selves. My eyes went to the bear that somehow managed to block three out of the nine blows.
If it were a normal human it’d be cut down by that technique by now. Which made me feel intrigued how long can a beast of this world last against sword skills honed over the centuries into perfection. At least I didn’t use the humans to hone the skill into place but animals and beasts I came across back on earth. Well those that attacked me anyway. My skills weren’t exactly the best because we don’t have the same ranking system as back on the world I was summoned to so I have zero clue.
The bear roared at me as I grinned back at him. I want to see which idiot taught this bear boxing as well as those side steps. You’d only see that in a boxing match on tv or in arena. Sometimes street fights but that’s very rare for me to see. But that glare he’s giving me gets on my nerves, it’s almost as if it’s the jerk whom would tick off anyone would give you. When he’s either talking too much or pissed the person off by rubbing in the wrong words. Makes me wonder whom in his right mind taught the freaking bear. It better not be a fan, those are annoying in their own rights.
It’s like having a foreigner trying to copy something that’s often seen but doesn’t know anything much aside from a few moves and acts on instinct on how they see boxing as. Not that the feeling I’m getting from the bear. But hey never judge a book by its cover, this guy probably honed his bear boxing by fighting for his life in the forest. Instead a grin came to me as he used a feint with his left arm. While he tried to hit me with a straight to my head. I side stepped easily but my eyes narrowed.
“Jeez, I can’t believe a weakling like you and I share bloodline to the Abyssal Queen. I mean come on, she learns on the spot or makes skills on the spot and hones them last minute.” (Trea)
Eh, my 2nd personality whom was created due to the stress the bloodline put onto me I don’t need you to lecture me on battle.
“Even if you had centuries of honing skills at least let your bloodline guide you. This is annoying, don’t play with our food. Sure we’re coexisting but damn it all. Bastard is so damn slow. At least take my advice if you don’t want to have me in control for battle.” (Trea)
Why does it sound like her pride took a hit at me being so slow in battle due to me wanting to test my strength and speed with my kantana. The bear did a quick duck and kept trying to punch my stomach. My eyes widen at seeing that swift sidestep ducking you’d see in a pro boxer.
“Jump upwards, step on the air and do a downward kick then use the debris along with your kantana.” (Trea)

I want to fight fair and not just on my own instincts nor your orders.
“Really, because you’re not like us. No you’re not like me nor the Abyssal Queen. At least she had to use her skills, surrounding and her instincts to fight. 1 million against 1 person. Or the whole world against her. No one with fight like you did former hero. Nor they will fight with honor, righteousness and fairness like you wish.” (Trea)
Hey don’t get back at me like that. Did I look like I was planning to fight fairly with Haru or his father.
“Of course you weren’t but does that mean your enemies gave you fairness back then when they killed your comrades. At least learn now how to combine it with your way of fighting.” (Trea)
And how the heck are you trying to guilt trip me now. I will not fall for your words and get taken over by you later.
“Oh please your dodging a bear and trying to rehone your own sword skills. I for one am not that stupid plus your bloodline is more diluted than the original’s why would I want complete control. That’s boring just be happy that this person is at least giving you guidance that not all people are like you. Whom in their right mind would fight fair. They never will, it’s human nature. I mean look at all the wars they had, they used strategies, ambush, sneak attacks, guerrilla warfare, bombing, going into the enemies and having reinforcements come in from the front. Does this not say how the human mind works.”
I dodged another jab, I swear she is making more sense but I am not that type of person.
“Where did your honor and respect take you then.” (Trea)
I really wanted to cry at her words, she didn’t have to rub in that my companions all died due to me being dense and naive back then. Though seriously I can’t change my battle style as quick as she wishes.
“Which part of me wanted you to be this stupid. Let me put it this way, I’m the personality created due to the bloodline being to powerful for your body, if I wasn’t created. You’d go like pop and explode from the excessive energy. So think of it as me being the one on the ride with a host who has high honor, pride, honor, righteousness, thinks fairness is the path to go and vows. Where did your honor go when they betrayed you and killed your friends, where did the humans of the world go when your comrades were killed by the beast tide, where was your pride when millions of beastmen were sacrificed due to their choices.” (Trea)
I get it your telling me I need to change my way of thinking and fighting process. I can’t go on this way because it’d be too predictable since it’s also incorporated into my fighting style. But how am I supposed to to just drop everything I learned and know. My eyes were still on the bear but I can see where she’s going with this. If I don’t harden my own self and personality at times it can probably get me and my friends killed again. It’s just that I couldn’t change completely at once.
“For starters do what I tell you first, use your kick to destroy the ground then use the debris to fight against the bear while also honing your kantana skills.” (Trea)
Ok, I get it that your trying to help me but it hasn’t come to me to use my surroundings to also fight before this. I only thought that’s something you’d do in a streetfight. She went silent after I did as she said by jumping up and kicking the ground full force. The debris flew at both me and the bear, he seemed confused how the kick can be so powerful. Then it clicked why it sounded like Trea was mocking me when I mentioned about her possessing full control of our body. It was her pride, her bloodline that didn’t allow herself to lower herself to my level.
“Pride isn’t all that bad.” (Trea)
I didn’t have time to argue with her, I had to jump to the next flat rock platform as I threw one with my kantana sheath towards the bear. While he seemed to be stabilising himself also. My heart nearly jumped out as how smooth the black bear seemed to be calm and using his boxing to break the stones.
“See now you know he’s also been not fighting at full capacity. Hey wouldn’t it hurt you more knowing how an elephant held back his strength because he thought you’re a mouse.” (Trea)
I didn’t want to argue with her but I was left even more stunned to see how the bear was infusing Ki into his fists. Hell, this bear is a genius since these demon beasts as they called it don’t use Ki but another energy force. This surprised me but it makes me want to know who taught him more. I unsheathe my kantana as I cut the stone debris in front of me and used my hilt to hit them towards the bear. After that I launched myself towards him.
It left me stunned when the bear blocked my next quick draw of the kantana. He used his left hand which was destroyed with the blow. I was very stunned how he was smart enough to shift his body so that only his left hand is destroyed instead of his stomach. A gleam of light ended when I put my kantana in my sheath. At least he lasted 1 hour against me. He was cut in half with my last skill. I used 4 slashes from the left, right and a downward cut at him. But he was only slashed into two because he blocked his head with his left hand.
His actions were almost human like but I remembered he was a bear. Well thanks for the meal, he took me an hour to finish. At least the guy lasted though. He didn’t need to attack me when he heard me. I ate his legs first. Hm, bear tasted differently for me as if it was a mango fruit. Which made me frown.
“Get used to it Abyssal taste spuds is different.”
“Eh why.” (Haru)
What I had to ask out loud.
“Well here’s the thing: Elves: vegetables, dragons: beef, leviathans: sea food, humans: pork, angels: chicken, demons: turkey, devil: dumplings, Demihuman (beastmens): pho, fates: curry, gods and goddesses: kimchi, God (singular): Black Gourmet, Phoenixes: chocolate.” (Trea)
Wait she avoided some races in between but not that I’ll ask, it’s not like I’ll meet one. Iris run a summary of the Fate race.
“Sure.”
[Fate: a race who lives in the upper world inside a hidden world. They keep a balance of sorts to the race system and souls themselves. They have a ability to see and alter destiny but most don’t abuse this ability. Only rogue wanderers of their class will alter a person’s destiny into their ideals.
This is a race who corrects the balance of soul for corrupt souls. They help by letting these corrupted souls who can only see someone’s past guard the gate of reincarnation. They’re the one who doesn’t have any other ability due to their souls being corrupted so as if to purify these they corrupted souls by guarding the doors to reincarnation. A person will remember everything once at the doors. But will forget once they pass through.]
Damn so it’s a race that lives in a pocket dimension like world alternate to the upper world and they keep things in check. But what about their own race living in a wasteland like place.
“Hah, don’t ask me that question remember I’m only 7 days old.” (Trea)
“I don’t know as my host I have no experiences with another race before this, as for the knowledge it was in my directory before I knew it.” (Iris)
I ate the bear happily since I made sure to wait until he’s completely dead. Hey, it’s rude if I ate him after he’s still conscious. Especially since he’s a boxing bear. Yet the memories that flooded me made me stunned even more. The memories of him from a young age, the bear was picked up by a blond middle aged man who taught the bear boxing from time to time. What made it even stranger was he taught the bear cub how to use Ki. Then the memories after that were hazy after the bear lost the man to the lord of the southern forest parts. The golden tiger teamed him limb to limb in front of him.
Then the memories of when he fought me, he used a jab, feint, hook for the first round. Then when I used a kantana the bear used peek a boo, pull, shifting, slip, and lastly stick and move. Meaning it was a pro boxer who taught the bear. The last one is to constantly move while punching. Well that was before I threw him off rhythm with the debris. Oh well, one meal is good for now.
“Iris you can now show me the strongest race.” (Haru)
“Oh now you remember you have a system. I swear sometimes as a host you even forget I’m here too. Fine. Read on your own.” (Iris)
“Chaos Beast. The name given to them by the God of the said sector or universe. Which is a lowest of the worlds. These race are instinct based. They create the universe itself, but run by their instincts for destruction and creation. Sometimes they run into madness from instincts alone. Rarely in some cases there is born those immune to their instincts for destruction over running their mind. They were the race that created God. But their creation who feared them tried to kill them and in turn took credit for their creation of universes.” (Haru)
So what’d happen if I combine that and chaos beast and abyssal.
“Sure that’d stop your race cravings, you wouldn’t need to eat as much sweets either. And you’d be able to control your instincts instead of having it over run you. But the question is will your mind be able to take another bloodline at the moment without you exploding.” (Iris)
I flinched at her reminder of how thankful I am at how Iris made the first process so smooth for me. So I don’t end up like other mc from the books screaming as they’re getting their body changed step by step. Right Chaos energy would probably burst my brain. Not my body but my head so it’d be like a brain getting fried. Noted, I’ll get used to my bloodline for now.
“What if I added the Fate’s race instead.” (Haru)
“Fates are weird people who can see all races destiny and change it by will. Yet they themselves choose not to interfere. If you wish to be like that and see people’s past, present and future that is also up to you.” (Iris)
Never mind I wouldn’t want to see someone’s past too far. I mean who’d want to watch some random douche’s tragic life in their past. That’d be disturbing even if I’d have the ability to alter someone’s destiny. As if I’d want to see that. And why would I want to see a person’s future, that’s what’s most fun about life. The unpredictableness of a person’s life. Plus it’s not like I’ll meet any of those aside from Krow.
