Gou Mei was shocked that Tin Kou, her grandmaster was injured by Trea. Seeing this she couldn’t help but become pale when she remembered that this was her only way out. This also reminded her they were still in the pathway on the road yet they were bullied to such an extent. Doesn’t this mean even if she called her master she’d still end up in the same way.
“I got to say all the memories I got from him so far was mostly his childhood so far. Though his hate for vampires is due to his village being massacred. Also no memories of cultivation yet. Only that Ki is life energy which is different from mana.” (Trea)
“Interesting, so the vampires here die in sunlight. That’s so much different from me.” (Ava)
Her pale skin (Haru) reminded Gou Mei of a white fire lily that was born in the volcano. Fierce yet gave off an coldness though it was born in the extremity of the volcano’s environment. It also matched her current temperament as she tried to kill them. Realizing all this frighten her even more. How can such a person become like this so easily, also this person said she was nothing but a personality for the original. If so then how was her grandmaster gonna fare if the original was awake.
Yet she didn’t know that Ava was also watching her closely as she watched over the battle. The outcome was easy to predict due to the one sided battle. Though she knew that she had to make sure they were both here since they were Trea’s food. But she knew the one who would be full was Haru at the end but she felt a incoming headache since she knew she had to explain afterwards the events.
Though she wasn’t stupid, Gou Mei knew she couldn’t move much even with her fractured ribs. If she did any careless movements she would end up with permanent disability for life. That is if she ever survived this scary encounter. When she thought this was only the 16th time she came out with her students she couldn’t help but feel remorse. These were students she helped nourish for 20 years. They had been 13 when she took them in as her students. Life was truly unfair for her to encounter such a monster and a vampire in one day.
Trea stared at Tin Kou for a while before deciding if those childhood memories were of use yet her eyes landed on the ring in his left hand. Then she remembered this was a cultivation world, meaning that they had something similar to her spacial ring. Seeing her eyes on the ring she eyed Ava as if to say that look there.

“So it seems he did have something useful.” (Ava)
“I dare you to kill me, then the Cloud Storm sect will hunt you down.” (Tin Kou)
“My race also eats souls since we’re a race that eats all races. So whether you’d leave anything behind it’s really hard to say. Unless you mean the pile of blood your dripping off.” (Trea)
“Fuck! What kind of monster are you to even consume a soul without leaving a trace.” (Tin Kou)
“My kind eats all races, soul eating beasts are also included in the category even if they’re monsters.” (Trea)
Instead she rolled her eyes to his question but her eyes were on Gou Mei now. Since this one is food and she ate two prior. Shouldn’t she also eat this one first, but then again this was her hostage prey that is keeping him here. Instead she was thinking of a way to get the ring for Ava while also getting her food.
“Vile creature, our school and sect will never let you go.” (Tin Kou)
Then her eyes glimmered as she realized what she can do to get the ring. All she had to do is cut off his left arm and take it off personally. But she was also curious how these Ki cultivators fight. Instead Trea flinched when a old memory from Haru’s past resurfaced. It was a old memory of his high school friend who was also summoned but died along the way. She was a blond girl who was known as the school beauty back in their world. But when Haru was Kin he had a crush on her so her death devastated him.
Having the memories flash now meant her time was almost up. It also annoyed her but this only meant she had to rush things faster. Since she had slowly but surely gotten used to her strength she needed to get it over with and leave control back to Haru.
“Ava, I need to rush. I don’t have much time, Haru is gonna wake up soon. There’s also his trauma from his past that he didn’t mention as a former guy. In fact it was his own friend getting killed before his eyes but he couldn’t see the figures who killed her clearly. I don’t know why Haru is having this nightmare now but I’ll leave you with a mess of helping her current self once she takes over.” (Trea)
It actually bothered her why did the memory then appear now after 816 years of repressing that memory away. Why did it resurface now but she did at least give Ava a warning that she won’t be of much help due to the mental stress and strain it causes Haru. So having no choice she moved faster with her legs and carefully sliced Tin Kou into pieces. She nodded in satisfaction at her control even if it was only 5%. Since it meant less work for Haru later. Instead Trea turned to Gou Mei after she quickly ate her grandmaster up. In fact she didn’t want to rush but that memory stirring meant that she didn’t have enough time to enjoy her meal.
Instantly she cut Gou Mei from her legs to her stomach according to the lines that she saw. It happened in a few seconds that she finished her (Gou Mei) and sighed as she looked over at Ava before she fainted. Leaving control to the now unconscious Haru. Whom both Trea and Ava knew would wake up due to a bad memory but they knew they couldn’t do anything about it. It was a memory that hunted the former summoned hero. One that the former hero suppressed in his memories for so long and almost forgot.
