Name, huh?
Now that I think about it, despite I've been staying in this world for awhile, I have not learned anyone's name. It seems like my line of thoughts doesn't care about other people's name; a personal quality that was engraved into this body when I created it. "Name", to me, is something alienated, something that I will skip if I ever write a biography about myself.
When human meet other human, they usually introduce themselves, starting with their name and other things. That might or might not be the same to me if I happen to meet a dragon of my size. The human I've met since coming to this world are all fanatic, thus I never feel like I should introduce myself.
"So, you haven't had a name yet?" The high priest's voice bring me back to reality: Inside my cage looking toward the lake. He probably read my mind, again.
"I don't feel like I need a name. It's just human's way of addressing each other."
"Then how are you addressing me? And how am I addressing you?"
"I will just call you High Priest. I heard those knights call you like that too."
"And your name?"
I open my stats window and look at the "name" part.
Name: UnknownAge: 12000Level: 6Race: DragonHP: 78/78MP: ∞STR: 3SPI: 1VIT: 6AGI: 1DEX: 5LUK: 3
Ignoring a few raise in my stats, I stare at my "name". Unknown.. huh?
"It's just a place-holder. Any monster with some degree of intelligence changed their name into something else. You can change it, only once, and you should change it as soon as possible." His voice turns serious as he talks.
That reminds me of Vagabond Wolf. What kind of name is that? He probably named himself when he was just a dumb wolf.
"If I can only change it once, why should I do it now?" Although I feel the urgent in the priest's voice, I still try to ask the reason. The priest stares up at me solemnly. If I had skin, that stare would probably gave me goose-bump. I feel like I must instantly give myself a name but I refrain from doing so.
"Someone with sufficient level can forcefully give you a name. Its effect... I'd rather name you myself than letting some punk do." His voice sounds more and more scary with a hint of anger. Why is he angry?
"Okay okay. I will name myself... Origo? Because you all call me Origin Dragon." (Origo is Latin for Origin)
[Your master's name has changed to Origo]
The system voice startles Vagabond. However, he only frowns without making any other notable reaction; not like a frown on a wolf's face is notable.
The strange group of four, 2 lizards, a human and a huge wolf arrive at a hill overlooking Mirage lake.
"I can see a giant cube-shaped object with a dragon silhouette inside." Despite the distance and the darkness of the night, Argon - the younger lizard, can easily spots Origo in his cage.
"Ss..sil..." The older lizard, Neon, tries to pronounce the word 'silhouette' he just heard.
"Cube-shaped? That must be the cage they conjured to hold the Origin Dragon." Back in the town, after taking the book and map he promised Origo, Rector ran out and saw the Holy Knights conjure a cage out of thin air.
Origo only created one kind of particle: Rawn, thus one kind of substance can be turned into different a substance with the right magic. They call this way of using magic 'Alchemy'; and Chemistry in this world simply doesn't exist. The Deities didn't bother creating different chemical substance. Anyone in this world who learns magic properly would know that the different between 'rocks' and 'air' is the Rawn in 'rocks' is full of Earth element energy while 'air' has a mix of every kind of element energy in its Rawn. Condensing Earth energy in the air will summon rock from thin air.
"They placed the cage in the middle of that lake-side town.. And there are about a dozen of Holy Knight guarding the area around that cage. It's too far, I can't thee their level." Argon continues his report.
"When I saw them, they were a squad of Lv60 knights..." Rector sighs.
"Ss..sixty?" Neon startled. The others doesn't react too much at this.
"What are you afraid of? We don't have to fight them directly, you know?"
"But..." Neon tries to say something, but his brother Argon interrupts him.
"A dozen, one seems to be a priest and is inside the cage. The other eleven are knight, guarding the yard next to the lake, preventing anyone from coming near the cage." Argon continues his report. "Brother, any idea?"
Neon squints his eyes, looking toward to Mirage Lake-town. Although he can't make out any person silhouette, he can still see how the town's buildings are arranged. Argon didn't ask about that, though, he can see that himself. Neon, being a Trap expert, is also skilled at maneuvering through difficult terrain; in this case, a town guarded by those who are way out of their league.

"Bombss... and diss..distra..."
"Distraction, as usual?" Argon grins...
Northern Kingdom's capital. Corner of the commoners' residences district. Inside a small one-story house.
"Uncle Ligurrito, did you say my dad would return soon?" A child under 10 years old, wearing simple grey clothes, looking at his uncle in front of him, his eyes filled with expectation. "Is it true?"
"Of course it's true." The middle aged man, wearing simple clothes, sitting on a stool, using a rag to clean parts after parts of his solider-armor. "Order from above said the Lv60 Holy Knight Squad from the Origin Temple is escorting the Origin Dragon to our city for the festival. Isn't that the squad your dad is in?" The man gently smiles at his nephew.
"Origin Dragon..." The kid says as he glances at the decoration, a doll of a brown dragon, hanging above the door.
"It's late now, why don't you go to bed?"
"Yes, uncle Ligurrito!" The kid imitates 'salute' posture then runs to the back of the house. That night, he can't sleep as he keeps thinking about his dad.
Although his dad is a high level Holy Knight, the wage isn't that high. After all, to human of this world, guarding Origo is a honor. Furthermore, rumor has it that those who stays near Origo will receive blessing from the Gods...
Manifold. Deities' Realm. Neutral Domain. Meeting Hall.
Around a large round table, 12 deities sitting. They call themselves "Primal Gods". The Twelve born directly from Origo the Origin Dragon. They are mostly humanoid, some looks no different from a human but some are obviously not human with horns and/or wings protruding out from their bodies. The less humane ones are mostly Inheritors of Energy (Matter) and Space.
"Vitae, what do you think?" A deity whose robe looks like black flame asks.
After that question, everyone turns their heads (or their equivalents of head) toward a lady with long white hair sitting on the opposite side of the black robe. Although there is no wind, her hair keeps dancing in the air. She raises her head as a holographic image of Origo appears in the middle of the table.
"Like a mix of the ancient Draconian and the current living Dragons. Having two hearts and conscience like a Draconian; but selfish with thinking frame of a Dragon." She closes her eyes and lowers her head after that speech.
The meeting hall becomes quiet as the deities start thinking to themselves. The Draconian and Dragon were Ancient test-subject of the deities in order to understand how the Origin Dragon would act.
After a moment, Vitae continues.
"There is one thing I must say.. He is irresponsible..."
""What?"" Several deities voice their surprise. However there is no voice comes from the mysterious silhouette that looks like a portal to cosmos. The portal-like deity keeps sitting still like he has already known this.
"He doesn't want to be the Source and also blames us..." Vitae sighs before finishing her sentence. She secretly glances at the portal-like humanoid figure.
Other deities who notice her glance also moves their sight toward that figure but they doesn't dare to say anything. That deity can be said to be the strongest of the twelve; but the figure is just a representative of him. The true body is still staying in his domain beyond the portal.
"χρόνος!" Out of impatience, a deity among them stands up, smashing the table with his palms and shouts something incomprehensible toward the portal, then continues, "You'd already known this, hadn't you?"
The figure calmly answers without moving.
"Firstly, don't call me with that name. Secondly, I knew. Thirdly, please calm down..." A voice echoes in the mind of all eleven deities in the hall. As a deity who is Time itself, naturally he knows everything; however, he has never attempted to avert any event.
"Then why didn't..." Like remembered something, he stops his angry shout and sits down.
Although everyone understand that Time doesn't want to be changed, they still blame part of the problem to it. The hall becomes quiet again.
"Anyone has a solution for this problem?" Vitae says again. "Although we sealed his ability to leave, no one knows..." She glances at Time as she says, "... knows which problem can occur in the future."
Other deities follow her lead and glance at the portal, but they knew they can't force it to say anything. However, contrary to their thought, its voice suddenly echoes in their minds.
"Vitae, his memory coordinate..." The voice pauses there like waiting.
"He still has feeling for his offspring." She instantly says. "However, forcing him to make one in this world isn't that easy. He doesn't have..."
"Vitae, that is not it." The voice interrupts her. "I will help, this one time."
That declaration of help surprises everyone in the hall...
