Manifold. Deities' Realm. Neutral Domain. Meeting Hall.
Around a round table, many deities has gathered. Judging by the amount of throne-like seats arranged, there would be a dozen of deities in the meeting. However, some of the seats are vacant. It's not like they wouldn't come as this meeting is mandatory, even more so when the Dragon of Origin has awaken. They need to discuss how to deal with him.
"Where did she go?" The Goddess of Luck points at one of the vacant Throne while asking. "I just saw her there a second ago."
"A second... As one of the Inheritors of Time, you sure are uninformative." The 'Anonymous System Voice' sitting between her and the pointed seat says. The voice is mechanical but still carries joking tone as these two deities are familiar with each other.. If that deity could chuckle, s/he would do so a lot; though the inhabitants of the world wouldn't be happy about that.
"How many times have I had to tell you? I only control the Random Events. Ask 'that' thing if you want information." She says pointing at the vacant Throne next to her.
Twelve deities, 4 basic Laws to 'Inherit' (read: take control of) from the Dragon of Origin, so each Law has 3 Inheritors. In the meeting, deities who inherits the same Law would sit next to each other. The Anonymous System Voice is an Inheritor of Life, so it's obvious that the one just went missing is a Life-type deity and the one she just referred as 'that' is a Time-type.
"She used Projection to check on 'him'." 'That' appears, startles the Luck Goddess.
Lv60 Holy. Lv 58 Holy. Lv 59 Holy... A bunch of literal "Holy" Knights.
"There he is!" The knight in the front says.
"Spotted him!" Another knight says simultaneously.
Oh no you don't. I mumble as I start flapping my wings and prepare to take off. It's annoying, my Speed is too low for instant take off. I know that Speed was to blame obviously because Winged Mount existed in 'that' game. Any action in this game-like system is related to stats, one way or another. Darn whoever made it that way... Oh wait.
As I turn my head to glance at the knight, one of the knight suddenly dashes forward to run in front of the formation. With the glowing chain in one hand, the index finger of his free hand draws a Wind symbol floating in front of him as he chants. How do I know it's a Wind symbol? It's glowing in the same color as my scale when wind passes by.
"Wind, abide by my and my comrades' wills!" And that chant, too.
Two other knights also dash forward to run by his side.
"""Command: Void the wind!""" All three of them shouts out together.
Ah, high DEX magic users using Chorus Chanting plus Shared Element. The first knight with high degree of Wind Aptitude ordered the wind (element) to obey him AND his comrades so the other two knights who have lower to none Wind Aptitude can join his wind spell for multiplied effect and reduced cast time. With their DEX, they omitted most of the chants.
The area around me suddenly falls into silence. No matter how hard I flap my wings, no sound - or wind, can be felt. A tornado is formed with me as the eye-of-the-storm. It lowers the air pressure around me and effectively render my ability to fly useless. It's amazing how they didn't even mention their target nor telling the wind how it should do the job in their chants; yet the Wind does it like reading the image in their mind. That's the effect of DEX.
From standing with 2 hint legs, I collapse to stand on all four limbs and starts running toward the forest. I hope I could escape the Wind spell. However, just in the mere second between my first and second steps, a knight finishes his chant.
"Command: Earth! Stoned feet!"
I've been into trouble with too many individuals with Earth Element recently. As I turn back, a [Lv59 Holy], one of the knights who voided the wind is pointing his index finger at me. The ground where my front claws landed suddenly sticks to my front limbs, covers them and quickly becomes rock solid. With the momentum of my first step, I stumble forward, performing a somersault before landing on my back.
"Ouch!" [HP: 54/72] appears in my vision. It was 18 damage from the landing as I landed on a pebble (read: small stone) on the ground. Somehow, both the magic they cast on me dealt no damage. However, another problem with this unbalanced body, that I imagined on a whim, arises: My arms are too short and my elbows' bones wasn't made for this pose!

[You are Crippled!] Shut up Anonymous System's Voice! I know! It hurts! I can't even move my arms as they're still stuck to the ground.
"He took damage!" A voice shouts out in the direction my head is pointing. I can't see him nor care to do so. My arms is broken, I must use a Healing spell! But will the knights allow a slow-chanter like me to finish casting a spell?
"...Dispel!" Before I could start chanting, another voice shouts out the familiar spell name. It wasn't an instant cast, I was too focused on my arms to hear his chant. It must be a Magical Effect-dispel spell, but why did he cast it?
The stone-ground covering my arms becomes soft. I break it effortlessly with my shoulder's strength and bring my arms to the front. Their scale color returns from Brown to Black. My arms are still crippled, the elbows can't move anymore. I'm laying on my wings so I can't fly, not like I have time to dispel the wind-voiding spell. With my unbalanced body, I need to roll over to stand up but my weight would crush my crippled arms if I do so, it will hurt alot! I unintentionally make some monstrous sounds as I groan...
"D..don't hurt me! I mean no harm!" I scream as I hear footsteps walking toward me from all direction. Metallic sounds ring out as they step. Even though I don't fear death, hurting is still an unpleasant thing to feel.
"Who would dare to hurt the Dragon of Origin?" An unfamiliar voice says next to my head. Ah, so they know... That barehanded fighter sold me for the knights, huh?
Even though laying on the ground like this, I can see the knight beside my head fully. This is the first time I see a human up close like this. I am really big, huh? If I roll my head onto him while opening my maw, I can easily gobble him... It might not be a nice experience but that gross thought was the first thing coming to my mind. I hope he tastes good...
"The Holy Knight that hurt you.. He violated our code. Do you want to kill him on your own? I'm sure you'd get a nice boost of exp from him."
The knight's words remind me how fanatic the people of this world are and it makes the thought of eating him become even grosser. I push it to the back of my mind. My first priority now is leaving.. not this situation alone but this world!
"I want to die!" I mutter, not expecting those fanatics would help me destroying their own world. It's not my fault that it has came to this though.
"I can feel your pain just by looking. It's not nice being crippled like that." The knight misunderstood me, it seems.
He raises a part of a really long glowing chain and throws it over my chin. I can hear and feel the other knights throw some chains over my body, binding me to the ground.. huh, I feel something under me, not the ground I was laying on. My eye-level raises as the scenery around becomes lower... they managed to put me on some kind of platform, huh?
When the knights tighten the chains, I shudder at the thought of the chains squeezing on my crippled arms.. but somehow I feel no pain. I try to move the chained arms a little. There is no pain, only the restriction of the binding. When did they cast a healing spell?
"It's night time so we're going to continue our journey tomorrow. For now, sorry for the uncomfortable sleep."
"I had slept for 12000 years. I don't need more sleep! Release me or I'm going to..."
"You're going to what?" The knight's voice carries an obvious grin.
Ah, any damage I deal to them would be consider a honor, a reward or something like that. A bunch of fanatics and masochists! I might enjoy others' suffering when they opposite me, but when they also enjoy it... That thought makes me shiver.
"Good night." The knight besides my head says as he steps down from whatever platform they're using to carry me. My unbalanced and over-sized body can barely move while my head can only lift off from the platform a little under the restrain.
Wasted no time, the knights starts moving the platform and me into the town. The town entrance is just a pause of the town outer walls so my size wasn't a problem. Being carried like this makes me feel dizzy so I close my eyes and wishfully hope that the next time I wake up, I would be free...
