The sun has raised to the top without me knowing. The tree that I'm sitting by is casting a big shadow in the surrounding field of grass. My butts and probably my back too is all green from the contact with Nature element. Sometime when a wind blows by, my scale would turn pale-white. Or pale cyan, I don't know color the different between them.
From the morning to mid noon, I have been messing around with this world's game-like
User Interface, or UI for short. After I try (ramble) all the different commands, I find out a Menu window where I could use to open other available windows. A status window (the one I opened just as I woke up yesterday), a skills window, a party window, etc... By "available" I mean there are some option locked, mostly due to my low level. I take a glance at my status.
Name: UnknownAge: 12000Level: 3Race: DragonHP: 62/62MP: ∞STR: 1SPI: 1VIT: 4AGI: 1DEX: 2LUK: 3
If this world's system is the same as 'that' game then my stats will raise at level up corresponding to my action during that level, though there is a limit. It gave me +3 Vit probably because I was bitten to near death after flying low on stamina. Then my attempt to cast a spell.. and also successfully "cast" the Servant binding ritual gave me +1 Dex. Huh, where did I get +2 Luk from? I don't think I did anything that requires luck.
Let's see.. the unique things I have in this world are my Scales, my infinitive MP and the skill 'Dimensional Jump'.
First is my Scale's ability to determine Element. I have no clue where that ability come from nor its detail because there is nothing about it in the UI nor a Passive skill. I want to conduct a test with an individual scale but my 4 Atk can't penetrate my 5 Def, thus I can't pierce a scale out. Though that 5 Def probably won't be helpful against all the monsters in the forest. Earlier a huge monster lurked nearby and looked at me with desirous eyes; it was probably looking for a prey; but it immediately ran away when it recognized my scale's color changing trait. It was when I boringly played with some tree leaves and painted my face green. I feel like a chameleon as their color-changing trait is their nature defense. Sigh, that feels wrong...
Next is my MP. There is nothing much to think about it. The Deities didn't move the Energy source somewhere else for some reason, not like I was bothered by it. Though I want to complain that it should show MP: ∞/∞. My servant's MP is show as Current MP on Max MP, so this single ∞ symbol bugs me.
And lastly, the Dimension Jump skill in my Skills window. I used to be able to leave my body and jump into another dimension at will. It seems that the world recognized it as a skill. When I try to get information for that skill, I was informed that it was personally "sealed" by the Gods. Am I that important to this world? Those deities took all the controls over this dimension so they could just make a new "Dragon of Origin" or something to replace me. I don't really care why they didn't do that, but I WILL leave this world when I done with it and they will have to deal with that energy problem themselves, not my responsibility. For now, let's just enjoy touring around. Hmm.. That wolf wouldn't be much helpful as a guide so I will ask the next human I meet for this world's tourist spots.
So boring. I have to wait for my servant to wake up before I can go exploring safely, or at least leave this seemingly high-level forest. Monsters might not be allowed to attack me, but there is no certainty that they wouldn't kill me in one-hit before realizing their mistake.
To waste time, I open all of my available windows then arrange them around me, imagining them as Computer screen as I waltz my claws on imaginative keyboards, pretending to hack something while making sounds effect with my draconic vocal cord. Just as I'm in the middle of 'hacking', the wolf crawls out of its lair, giving me an odd look. During the last few hours, the wolf had complained about my "loud thinking" waking him up a few times.
This tale has been unlawfully lifted from Royal Road. If you spot it on Amazon, please report it.
["What are you doing?"] His telepathic voice obviously carries his annoyance. Even if he could see my UI windows, what I did was still a fool's act.
"Oh, just wasting time..."
["I'm hungry. I'm going to hunt. Don't follow me."] He doesn't seem to care about my answer. And me. How impudent! He simply turns his hint at me as he walks away.
"What if I get attacked?" I don't feel worry that. I just want something to ease my boredom. "I am your owner, you know."
The wolf only growls without turning back. Scary!.. I mean, how impudent!
"Wait! If you found a human, could you bring him here?" I bet my Tail that if they know my identity, they will happily be my tourist guide... or kowtow before me while saying stuffs like... Urghh... That feels awkward, I won't let them know it.
["You want to eat it alive or dead?"] The wolf's 'voice' in my head snaps me back to reality.
"What? No! I want to ask the human about this world. Neither the knights' information nor yours was good enough for me." I frustratingly reply.
["Alive, it will be."] He is obviously trying to get on my nerve. What a 'nice' servant I've got. Even though I can't see his face, I can still sense the grin on his face based on his tone. Am I developing 6th sense? Wait, that's wrong, this is a different world. I will call that Aura vision.
About the wolf, I should let him know his position. 'You know what, I don't really need you, there are people out there begging to be my exp...' Nope Nope Nope! I almost puke as I imagine taking sacrifice while being worshiped, fortunately I haven't eaten anything for 12 millenniums. For now, I still need him to help me level up to a decent level before I could travel freely... I hope he didn't "hear" that though. He has disappeared from my sight, so probably he didn't. If he does, he will only get more cocky toward me.
It's not like I want to be strong or something; however, to be able to go anywhere, I'd need to be somewhat high level. Just because the monsters aren't allowed to attack me doesn't mean it's safe for me to travel. The other choice I have is getting an escort team, but it would be way more annoying if they found out my identity during the travel. Traveling alone, I will. I have no problem with dying and imagining the horror face of the one who ends this world on accident, it will be an amusing sight.
Just as I'm in the middle of imagining the end of this world like an evil overlord with an evil grin on my face and before my evil laugh, my level suddenly raises to 4, thanks to you-know-who. It startles me and blows all my evil thoughts away.
"Screw you, anonymous system's voice!" I involuntary curses. I should have turned off this message. I don't have to distribute my stat points personally or there is anything I should do on level up; so there is no need to be informed about that.. But I still need to know how many Exp I would receive per hit and the Level Up message's ON/OFF switch is the same as the Exp Receive message's.
After thinking awhile, I turn off all messages that involves Servant in the setting menu. Hmm, I wonder just how far could this servant/master system share the exp. I will ask him when he returns but I don't hope for an answer.
Manifold. Deities' Realm. Neutral Domain. Meeting Hall.
The annual meeting between the twelve deities will begin in a few days. However, a 'few days' for a deity is just a blink of an eyes so some of them have already gathered in the meeting hall.
"That darn dragon!" - The "anonymous system's voice" curses.
"I know how you feel. Mortals pray me day and night in hope for a point of Luck. However I gave him 2 Luk for free and he didn't even have a word of appreciation to me."
"I don't think that he knew the Goddess of Luck exists."
"True..."
The two of them simultaneously sigh.
